2021 NFL Week 6 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 9-6-1 against the spread in Week 5.

The bye weeks have started and we will only have fourteen games on the schedule. It feels like a fuller slate of games since we have a London game and an important game on Monday Night Football.

We saw a few potential season-shifting injuries last week. Seahawks QB Russell Wilson injured a finger on his throwing hand and will be out until December. The Giants also have injury concerns with QB Daniel Jones, who is currently sitting in concussion-protocol.

Can the Steelers cover against the Geno Smith-led Seattle Seahawks on Sunday Night Football?

I went 11-5 against the spread (again) in Week 4.

There are some big games on the schedule this week. I think we will have an idea of which teams are potential playoff teams after this week.

There are a few injuries to keep an eye on going into the weekend. Broncos QB Teddy Bridgewater is in concussion-protocol, Niners QB Jimmy Garoppolo has a calf injury that may or may not force him to miss this week and Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey could return this week. All three of those players statuses are up in the air.

kyler murray dotted finalI went 9-6-1 against the spread last week.

It could be time to change your mind on a few teams. The Panthers didn’t have many believers going into the season, but at this moment, adding QB Sam Darnold appears to be one of the smartest moves this offseason. Also, on the opposite end of the spectrum, the Colts could be in for a very long season.

2021 NFL Week 2 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 8-7-1 against the spread in the opening week.

Week 2 can be tricky for those who react too swiftly to the first week outcomes. You do need to be flexible, but there are always Week 1 aberrations. I would suggest that you look back at your preseason rankings and decide which teams impressed you enough to adjust their ranking and which ones you need to double-down this week and hope for a bounce-back performance

2021 NCAA Football – Week 2 Betting Picks Against Spread

I started the season with a rather uneventful 12-13 record. A few of my risks clearly didn’t pay off in Week 1.

It was a fun week of football, even if I had a rough week against the spread. There were some nice upsets (Montana def. Washington) and there were a few quarterback prospects who fell on their face (I’m looking at you, Sam Howell).

There were a ton of transfers this offseason and a few really came up big with their new teams. Notre Dame QB Jack Coan was a real treat to watch.

Are you ready to place your bets?

I went 152-121-8 against the spread last season. I hope this season will be a little less erratic with COVID issues, but it appears that will not be the case. I would suggest to hold off on placing any large bets until the day before kickoff. There will be a few games ruined by positive tests at some point this year.

There was a huge turnover with starting quarterbacks this offseason. A lot of new faces in new places. Will any of these veteran quarterbacks turn back the clock and play like their peak?

How will Cowboys QB Dak Prescott and Giants RB Saquon Barkley bounce-back from major injuries?

Betting Picks: 2021 NFL Over/Under Season Wins

The NFL added an extra game to their regular season schedule and teams will now play seventeen games. It makes the over/under win totals a little extra tricky.

These win total prop bets have been out there for months now, but I wanted to see the final 53-man rosters for every team before I made my picks.

This year’s strong rookie quarterback class made this offseason more interesting than most. It’s hard for a team to sit a first-round quarterback these days. The life-cycle of a front office is shorter than ever, so these general managers want to see their rookie QBs make them look smart.

Will the Rams or Lions benefit the most from their quarterback swap?
