I went 7-9 in the first week of the 2026 NFL season.

I feel like there weren’t many surprises in Week 1.

The question mark about the health of the left knee of Patrick Mahomes…it was more than fine.

Was it a huge mistake for the Rams to travel to Australia the day of the game? Yes, of course, a big, big mistake.

Are the New York Jets still garbage? Yes, but the Titans are even more of a dumpster fire.

Can the Bills open their new stadium with a win and cover on Thursday Night Football?

2026 NCAA Football – Week 2 Betting Picks Against Spread

We are starting with our college football picks with Week 2 of the season. We used to always do this, but changed it a few seasons ago. No matter how much research you’ve done, you’re still going into the season rather blind. We have now seen what all these teams look like this year.

All eyes are on the Ohio State at Texas game on Saturday night. Texas QB Archie Manning did not play as advertised last year. If he can knock off the Buckeyes, he could get back into the #1 pick conversation again.

Can Texas defend homefield against Ohio State?

I’m excited for the start of football season. I think this will be a fun year.

Are you prepared for the season? It feels awfully sudden, but it always feels that way for me.

This will be a make-it-or-break-it year for many current quarterbacks. The next draft is absolutely stacked with quality quarterback prospects. Which quarterbacks will have a Daniel Jones-like season to resurrect their careers?

Can the Bears make a huge leap and be a great betting team?

2026 Football Betting Picks!

The betting picks are coming back!

I wasn’t able to keep up with my NFL and College Football picks last season. I was having numbness in my arms and hands, and was taking a long time to write and increased pain. It was the first time in over a decade that I had to stop for any reason. I underwent major neck surgery in January to fuse my C2 to T1 vertebrae, and it fixed a lot of issues. It was an awful recovery, but I am able to feel my arms and hands again.

The betting picks are coming back, but they won’t be the 10,000+ word content every week. I am behind on my other ventures and don’t have the 12 hours a week to dedicate to break down games and explain my picks. I still plan on writing on a smaller level some weeks, but it will mostly be a bare bones post with my weekly picks.

Thank you for sticking with me through this garbage. I will have my NFL picks up early evening on Wednesday.

2025 NCAA Football – College Football Playoff – 2nd Round

I went 3-1 against the spread in the first round of the College Football Playoff.

The first-round of the College Football Playoff had a pair of fun outings, and two games that were out-of-hand against non-Power Four teams. We won’t have those kind of talent disparities going forward, since all eight teams are battle-tested.

Can the Big Ten have a big showing in the second round?

2025 NFL Week 17 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 9-5-1 in Week 15 of the NFL football season.

We have three games on Christmas Day this year. The NFL is putting the screws to the NBA, who once dominated the holiday.

I am fighting my way back to avoid my first losing season in all the years I’ve been posting my picks against the spread. Last week’s games helps close the deficit to just three games. That can easily be made up with two more of the regular season and the playoffs left.

We have a pair of new third-string quarterbacks taking the ball this week. The Commanders and Chiefs will both have new faces under center.

Can the Bears clinch the NFC North?

2025 NCAA Football – College Football Playoff – 1st Round

I usually completely ignore all the bowl games, because it doesn’t work with a weekly pick format. I have enjoyed the College Football Playoff and it works with what I do.

We have some fun match-ups in FBS conference championship games. I personally can’t wait to watch Indiana and Ohio State face off in Indianapolis. I grew up in Indiana and spent nearly a decade in Columbus, Ohio.

Can either of these non-Power Four teams upset their opponent in the first round?

2025 NFL Week 16 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 6-9 in Week 15 of the NFL football season.

I was extraordinarily late posting my picks, so I wasn’t able to pick the Thursday night game, so I only had 15 picks last week.

I need some big weeks to climb back and avoid my first-ever below .500 season since I started doing this many years ago.

We have some changes at quarterback this week, so there are a few tough games to handicap on the schedule.

I went 6-8 in Week 14 of the NFL football season.

I was extraordinarily late posting my picks, so I was unable to post my Thursday Night Football pick in time for the game.

We have some strange teams battling for their playoff lives right now. The Chiefs, Ravens and Bills could see their playoff hopes take a huge dive with losses this week. Those teams are usually on cruise control for their division crown, or at least have a lead to do so.

2025 NFL Week 14 – Betting Picks Against Spread

Due to some server maintenance issues, I missed my first week of football picks in over a decade. I hope you guys had a profitable Thanksgiving week.

I think there is some value in this week’s NFL betting lines. We have a few hot teams that aren’t getting much respect. The Bears are on fire, but are nearly a touchdown underdog against the Packers.

There are some good teams facing uphill battles to earn a playoff spot. Can the 6-6 Kansas City Chiefs make a run?

In week 12 of the college football season, I went 12-13 against the spread.

This week feels like a the calm before the storm. We have a few rivalry games this week, but those really start to ramp up next week. We just have a lot of teams finishing up their conference schedules.
