2023 NCAA Football – Week 4 Betting Picks Against Spread

Last week, I stayed above .500 with my college football picks against the spread again, but with only a 13-12 week.

I don’t want to repeat word-for-word what I said in my NFL column, but the next couple weeks could be bare-bones picks. I have some stuff going on personally and I need to just focus on my mental health. I love writing these betting articles, but sometimes you just have to step back for a bit.

2023 NFL Week 3 – Betting Picks Against Spread

ryan tannehill dottedI had another sub-.500 week, but it wasn’t as bad with a 7-9 record in Week 2.

This week’s article is another bare bones post. It may only be another week or two, but it helped me dedicate some time to work on my mental health. It’s been a rough month or so after my dog passed away. He was 14 years old and was by co-pilot on my lap, or below my feet, for nearly every betting article on this site.

One big positive that happened this week is that I decided to open up my heart to another dog. I was able to get another shih tzu and he’s been amazing. Training a puppy will be a bit difficult, but this little guy is pretty smart.

2023 NCAA Football – Week 3 Betting Picks Against Spread

Last week, I stayed a little hot with my college football picks against the spread with a 16-9 week.

I don’t want to repeat word-for-word what I said in my NFL column, but the next couple weeks could be bare-bones picks. I have some stuff going on personally and I need to just focus on my mental health. I love writing these betting articles, but sometimes you just have to step back for a bit. I should have done this since the start of the season, but I’m stubborn af.

2023 NFL Week 2 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I had a rough start to the NFL season, but we know go into Week 2 with a lot more information.

This week’s article is bare bones and it may be like this for a week or two. I’ve been dealing with something personal and my mental health is absolute trash right now. I really hit a low about this time last week and didn’t think I could put myself through writing 12k+ words across my normal three weekly articles.

I really do love doing this, but it’s near-impossible when I can’t muster enough attention span to stitch two everyday tasks together. This change will probably be just a week or two.

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 2 of the 2023 NFL season.

2023 NCAA Football – Week 2 Betting Picks Against Spread

Last week, I started the year off by going 15-10 against the spread.

Transfer quarterbacks are already making a name for themselves at their new programs. Over half of the teams I profile in my first ten picks have transfer quarterbacks. It’s a nice wrinkle for college football, but can be confusing if you’re not a hardcore fan. I can understand why some traditionalists hate it, but if a coach can leave, a player should be able as well.

How will Notre Dame fare in their first true test of the season?

2023 NFL Week 1 – Betting Picks Against Spread

Are you ready to place your bets?

I went 148-133-8 against the spread last season. It wasn’t a banner year and I just hovered around .500 all season long. I hope to start the year off with a big week.

I decided to kick off the season a little different this season. I decided to get some help fleshing out the opening week’s column. I asked Google’s Generative AI to add some season preview insight about every team. Their input is the first two paragraphs of every game breakdown. Artificial Intelligence still has a long way to go for accuracy, so I had to correct some items…as it thought Mike McCarthy was the Patriots head coach.

2023 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 1

How are you feeling about your team before Week 1?

Did you play it safe with your picks or did you take some risks with some young talent?

There are a lot of question marks at quarterback right now. Will the three rookie starting quarterbacks struggle early in their careers? Can Patriots QB Mac Jones do enough early in the year to keep Coach Belichick happy?

Will any Detroit Lions shine in their opener against the Chiefs?

Here is our Fantasy Football Sit/Start for Week 1 of the 2023 NFL season…and enjoy our awesome MS Paint masterpiece of QB Trevor Lawrence of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

2023 Fantasy Football Sleepers: Running Backs

It’s a bit difficult to pinpoint sleeper fantasy running backs this year. There are many teams that could have three running backs receive 5+ touches a game. Most teams run a dual-running back offense and it’s much better to own the pass-catching back in PPR leagues.

The incoming running back rookie class should make some noise this season. There are a handful backs taken in the third round (or later) that could be smart pickups to stash.

Which Indianapolis running back will benefit the most from the Jonathan Taylor drama?

2023 NCAA Football – Week 1 Betting Picks Against Spread

College Football season is here, guys!

We once again saw a vast amount of changes in college football thanks to the transfer portal. It no longer takes a team two or three years to rebuild thanks to the new transfer rules.

We already saw a few games last weekend and former Wake Forest QB Sam Hartman led Notre Dame to a blowout win over Navy. It’s just one of the new players that will make big impact in their team debut.

Can Duke upset Clemson on Monday night?

2023 Fantasy Football Sleepers: Quarterbacks

Many of you will soon be drafting your fantasy football teams for the 2023 season. It’s nearly impossible to win a league these days without a stud quarterback. The days of owning LaDanian Tomlinson and plowing through the league are long over.

We all know the studs in fantasy and if you own a quarterback like Patrick Mahomes or Josh Allen, barring an injury, you have a great head-start on the year. Unfortunately, not everyone can have those two men on your team, especially in a deep league.

In a fantasy draft, you usually don’t roll the dice and take a deep quarterback sleeper, unless you’re in a twenty-team league. I accrued a list that gets progressively more sleeper-ish as you read. There’s a mix of talent of guys who should be drafted in all standard leagues and, “I’ve never heard that name before” sleepers.

AEW’s “All In” Was Worth Every Penny (No Spoilers)

All Elite Wrestling has had a cloud over their heads since CM Punk and The Elite had a backstage brawl in 2022. Ratings for their flagship show “Dynamite” have been stagnant and their newest show, “Collision”, is having trouble cracking 600k viewers most weeks. Things aren’t as hot as they’ve been in the past and the tension between Punk and The Elite still continues. They desperately needed a big, successful show to help cleanse themselves of some of the last year’s stench.

AEW has been eyeing the UK market since before their debut episode of “Dynamite.” Owner Tony Khan spends a lot of time there due to his family’s ownership of Fulham Football Club. The pandemic ruined their plans of having a big show in Fulham’s home stadium. Now that things have returned to normal, they swung for the fences in their UK debut.

Super Bowl 57 – Betting Picks Against Spread & Prop Bets

Super Bowl 57 is this Sunday and it’s a prop bets smorgasbord.

I LOVE prop bets. I actually get more joy out of betting Super Bowl prop bets than betting against the spread. Yes, most are a crap shoot, but with the right research, you can end up winning bets with very favorable odds.

I’m not saying you can research who will win the coin toss, but there are many other player and team prop bets out there that have nice odds.

Some prop bets aren’t worth the money (the juice isn’t worth the slight risk), but sometimes you just have to lay a few bucks down, cross your fingers and wish for the best.

I picked out some of the most popular prop bets for Super Bowl 57 (or Super Bowl LVII for Roman numeral fans)…and we also pick the game against the spread.
