2024 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 1

I’m so happy to have fantasy football back!

We have a fantastic class of rookie quarterbacks, and a handful will start for their teams in Week 1. There are plenty of new faces starting across the league, so make sure to study all the rosters and depth charts before finalizing your lineups this week.

The Baltimore Ravens travel to the Kansas City Chiefs to kick off the season on Thursday Night Football.

Which sleepers are you targeting this season?

Here is our Fantasy Football Sit/Start for Week 1 of the 2024 NFL season…and enjoy our awesome MS Paint masterpiece of QB C.J. Stroud of the Houston Texans.

2024 NCAA Football – Week 1 Betting Picks Against Spread

This year has flown by and it’s now time for college football!

This year will be a fruitful year for us here at the site. I lost my long-time dog Nugget at this point last year. It devastated me and I wasn’t able to put the focus on writing my weekly sports betting and fantasy football articles. I was barely able to just post my picks and I wasn’t able to give the same insight that I have in the past. I’m in a much better place in my life and have a new dog Goober (see picture) that brings me joy.

I want to thank everyone for sticking with me and still visited the site. I didn’t half-ass my picks, as I did all the work on the back-end, but I promise to ‘full ass’ my picks and articles this season.

We at ‘America’s White Boy’ pick 25 college football games against the spread in Week 1 of the 2024-25 NCAA Football season (August 31st, 2024).

Yes, Athletes Still Sign Autographs Through the Mail

So, I’ve been busy starting a new hobby this year. I’ve been sending off sports cards to athletes through the mail to get signed. I found it to be rewarding and fun.

I’m horrible at anything video-wise, but I have been posting videos on my YouTube channel. I include my weekly returns from athletes from baseball, football, basketball, and even WWE and the Olympics. I’ll explain how I do this below the embedded video.

2024 College Football: All-Name Team

This is one of my favorite posts to do every year, but due to a death in the family last year, I was unable to make a list last season. I found a bunch of fresh names, and some long time favorites.

What makes a great college football name?

A good litmus test is if it works as a potential pro wrestling name, it works in college football. It also works if a name sounds like a verb, phrase, a certain body part or just a bad ass football name that makes them sound tough.

We went through every team in the top two divisions in the NCAA. We went through ever single name and picked out the ones that were funny and some names we just wish we had.

Super Bowl 58 – Betting Picks Against Spread & Prop Bets

Super Bowl 58 is this Sunday and it’s a prop bets smorgasbord.

I LOVE prop bets. I actually get more joy out of betting Super Bowl prop bets than betting against the spread. Yes, most are a crap shoot, but with the right research, you can end up winning bets with very favorable odds.

I’m not saying you can research who will win the coin toss, but there are many other player and team prop bets out there that have nice odds.

Some prop bets aren’t worth the money (the juice isn’t worth the slight risk), but sometimes you just have to lay a few bucks down, cross your fingers and wish for the best.

I picked out some of the most popular prop bets for Super Bowl 58 (or Super Bowl LVIII for Roman numeral fans)…and we also pick the game against the spread.

2024 NFL Conference Championships – Betting Picks Against Spread

Lamar Jackson dotted funnyI went 2-2 against the spread during the Divisional playoff games.

Up to this point, we’ve had an entertaining slate of playoff of games. We haven’t seen many games that weren’t up for grabs deep into the fourth quarter of the games. I think we will see more of that this weekend.

The Lions are playing with house money right now and all the pressure is on the 49ers on Sunday. Can Brock Purdy handle this big of a moment?

Can Jason Kelce continue to be the best person alive?

We pick both NFL Conference Championship game against the spread and pick over/under point totals in those contests.

2024 NFL Divisional Playoff Games – Betting Picks Against Spread

I whiffed pretty bad during Wild Card Weekend. I went favorite-heavy, but the underdogs had a big weekend. The weather played a huge factor in many of the over/under point totals as well.

We have two double-digit point spreads on Saturday, which isn’t very common. We usually see about half of the games on Wild Card Weekend with touchdown (and over) point spreads, but covering double-digit spreads this deep into the postseason is very hard…but I am not betting against both of them.

Can the Detroit Lions continue their playoff run?

We pick every NFL Divisional Playoff game against the spread.

2024 NFL Wild Card Playoff Games – Betting Picks Against Spread

Mason Rudolph dottedI went 8-6 against the spread in the final regular season games.

I would have loved to have went more in-depth for every game this weekend, but a light fell while I was away from home and knocked over a drink I had next to my laptop, thus frying said laptop. I am posting this on my old laptop that I spent thousand of hours on, but almost impossible to type anything of length due to the letter ‘M’ not working. I have to copy and paste other Ms in this post. I would lose my mind if I did this in a 3k-word NFL post.

We only have one double digit point spread this week. We usually had more than that in recent years, so we should have some tight games this weekend.

We pick every NFL Wild Card Weekend game against the spread.

2023 NFL Week 18 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 8-8 against the spread during Week 17.

I’m sorry about getting my picks out so late this week. I was waiting on more info on which teams will be sitting starters, and then life got super busy. I unfortunately miss the deadline for Saturday games, but I am picking the remaining 14 games on the schedule.

I have a feeling that we will see a lot of coaches on the chopping block late-Sunday and on Black Monday. Most of the coaches on the hot seat have unfortunate match-ups on Sunday. We could see as many as seven coaches without a job soon.

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 18 of the 2023 NFL season.

2023 NFL Week 17 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 7-8-1 against the spread during Week 16.

I’ve had back-to-back near.500 weeks and we need to finish the regular season strong.

This week’s trendy thing to do is for head coaches to start their backup quarterbacks. Some are forced to do so, but the Broncos and Commanders are opting to bench their starters to see what their backups can do at this point in the season. I’m curious to see if Jarrett Stidham can do better under center for the Broncos than Russell “Let’s Ride” Wilson.

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 17 of the 2023 NFL season.

2023 NFL Week 16 – Betting Picks Against Spread

derrick henry dottedI went 7-7-2 against the spread during Week 15.

It was a back-and-forth week for me. I would get up by a game and then break even after the next slate of games.

Injuries are always a big issue at this point in ever NFL season. You have to keep an eye on the injury reports since there are a lot of banged-up quarterbacks right now. Also, some of the basement teams are rotating backup quarterbacks to finish the season. You will also see more double-digit point spreads than at any other point in the season (we have a few this week).

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 16 of the 2023 NFL season.
