2021 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 17

We don’t have a Thursday game this week, so you will have a few extra days to tinker with your lineups.

I’ve been watching for new players placed on the COVID List, which haven’t been as fast and furious as this time last week. I still expect plenty of new names on the list by the kick-off this weekend. It really does throw a new wrench in fantasy football and sports betting.

Since the CDC reduced the amount of time asymptomatic people have to quarantine from ten to five, some of the names could be removed from the COVID list faster than in previous weeks.

Can Bengals QB Joe Burrow replicated his 525-yard performance he had against the Ravens?

Here is our Fantasy Football Sit/Start for Week 17 of the 2021 NFL season…and enjoy our awesome MS Paint masterpiece of QB Matthew Stafford of the Los Angeles Rams.

reDRAFT – 2011 NBA Draft

It’s been a few years since I added to our reDraft series. I like the ten-year mark to look back at a draft class and assess the talents. I used to do them after six or seven years, but if you go back and read some of those, they feel dated now due to some players peaking early.

In 2011, Kyrie Irving was drafted first overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was arguably the consensus best player in the draft at the time. The drop-off after Irving was steep and few people thought anyone else should have been the top pick in that draft.

The Cleveland Cavaliers had two picks in the top-five. They selected Irving and power forward Tristan Thompson. Things could have been much different had they selected the players we pick in our reDraft.

We look back at the 2011 NBA Draft and reDraft based on their careers so far.

2021 NFL Week 16 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 10-6 against the spread last week.

COVID-19 is running rampant in NFL locker rooms right now. I had to delay my betting picks by a day last week just due to the flood of names coming in. I had to delay it again this week due to games being pushed back to Tuesday night.

I fully expect some more game-changing names to land in COVID protocols by this weekend. I fear it will be like this until the Super Bowl.

Will the Buccaneers bounce-back from a shut-out loss?

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 16 of the 2021 NFL season.

2021 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 16

We may no longer have bye weeks, but the current COVID outbreak in the NFL has made putting together a fantasy team a minute-by-minute decision.

I’ve been keeping an eye on a COVID List Tracker to make sure I’m up-to-date on all the players who may miss this week. After they updated the protocols for return, it’s possible a large number of the players should be cleared by this weekend…but a good number could be added on the list as well.

The Kansas City Chiefs have a few key offensive players on the COVID list. How will they fare against the Steelers?

Here is our Fantasy Football Sit/Start for Week 16 of the 2021 NFL season…and enjoy our awesome MS Paint masterpiece of QB Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals.

10 Sports Terms That Apply to Daily Life

Sports are so much a part of our daily lives that we all use sports idioms to communicate, sometimes not even knowing the athletic history of the expression. Whether it is to criticize someone or appreciate the performance of a co-worker, sports phrases are typically used in everyday life.

If you are a sports fan, you will love these sports-based phrases that can be applied to so many life situations. Let’s check out a few such expressions you probably use everyday.

  • Game of Inches

Sometimes, the small things can make all the difference between success and failure – not only on the sports field, but in all aspects of life. In football, teams can lose a game by small margins. Likewise, people who are ready to fight for that extra inch are sure to win in the end.

2021 NFL Week 15 – Betting Picks Against Spread

Kirk Cousins dottedI went 9-4-1 against the spread last week.

As of Wednesday evening, there are 90 NFL players on the COVID list. There are many key players that will miss this weekend’s games. I actually had a large chunk of this written on Tuesday, but as more and more names were placed on the list, I decided to wait an extra day to post my NFL betting picks. This could become the norm due to the variant’s infection rate.

Can the Patriots stop the Colts running game on Saturday?

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 15 of the 2021 NFL season.

2021 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 15

We no longer have to deal with bye weeks and we will have a full slate of games through the rest of the regular season.

You may have a set roster now, but you could be in the market for some flex plays to stream every weeks. Also, due to the recent COVID outbreak, you may need to replace someone who will not be able to play this week.

Will Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes be able to dust off his arm and have a huge fantasy outing against the Los Angeles Chargers?

Here is our Fantasy Football Sit/Start for Week 15 of the 2021 NFL season…and enjoy our awesome MS Paint masterpiece of QB Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Can Urban Meyer Survive the Season?

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer is having arguably the worst season any NFL coach has had in recent memory. Not only is his team 2-11 on the year, but all of his off-the-field issues are making it hard for the Jaguars front office to keep him after this season.

We all know about Meyer’s drunken night when he was caught on video groping a young blonde. Most coaches would have trouble surviving that scandal, but he has seen his #1 overall pick quarterback play like he doesn’t belong in the league, he is having shouting matches with his veteran wide receivers and was caught telling all of his assistant coaches that they were losers.

What can Urban Meyer do to survive the season and coach the Jaguars going forward?

2021 NFL Week 14 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 8-6 against the spread last week.

I only had one loss after the early games on Sunday, but the late games really destroyed my hopes of a huge week. I did hit a nice Lions moneyline play which kept me in the black this weekend.

The primetime games on Sunday and Monday nights are great. The Bills/Bucs and Rams/Cardinals games will have playoff implications.

Can the Washington Football Team win their fifth game in-a-row and cover against the Cowboys?

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 14 of the 2021 NFL season.

2021 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 14

This is the final week of bye weeks, so rosters should be more stable the rest of the season.

The Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles are all out on bye this week.

You could be in need of someone to replace Colts RB Jonathan Taylor, Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle or (maybe) Patriots QB Mac Jones in deeper leagues.

Will Titans QB Ryan Tannehill bounce-back from a bad performance and have a solid fantasy outing against the Jaguars?

Here is our Fantasy Football Sit/Start for Week 14 of the 2021 NFL season…and enjoy our awesome MS Paint masterpiece of QB Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers.

Running Improves Your Life

We already know that being healthy, and moving is good for us. But have you ever seen a runner with their headphones in, cruising down the street at speed and thought – I wish I were a runner.

It seems that running is for a specific type of person, but really it’s for everyone, and it doesn’t take much to get started. What is more interesting is that most runners become incredibly passionate about their running time – it becomes sacred in their daily routine.
