2014 NCAA Football – Week 8 Betting Picks Against Spread

This season is becoming a broken record…but I don’t hate it. I ended the week with another 11-9 record (I can’t complain). I am now currently 64-53-2 on the season.

The weather is becoming colder and weather reports are becoming more and more important with each following week. Snow isn’t in the forecast, but sloppy rain could hamper a few games this weekend.

We were 134-79-8 against the spread betting on college football games last season. We hope to keep it going and help you guys out again this season.

We pick against the spread for all the big college football games on Saturday (October 18th, 2014), and picked some smaller conference games as well. Enjoy!

Sports Crush: Britt McHenry

We’ve written a handful of ‘Sports Crush‘ posts since we launched America’s White Boy. We’ve spotlighted female MMA fighters, WWE Divas and female sports reporters like MLB Network’s Heidi Watney and NFL Network’s Erin Coscarelli. We decided to profile another female sports reporter, current ESPN sideline reporter Britt McHenry.

Not only is McHenry beautiful, but she has a brains (she graduated from Northwestern). ESPN hired her away from WJLA, a Washington D.C.-area ABC affliliate.

We are crushing on Britt McHenry and once you look at our photo gallery, you will understand why.

2014-15 NBA Team Preview: Cleveland Cavaliers

Drake Cleveland Cavaliers Funny Manziel LeBron James NBACleveland has been busy this off-season. Not only did they get Johnny Football playing down the street, but LeBron James came back home…and brought some of his friends with him. Kevin Love, Shawn Marion and Mike Miller all tagged along in hopes of winning a ring in Cleveland.

In order for Cleveland to get their new crew, they had to trade the last two #1 overall picks (Anthony Bennett & Andrew Wiggins) and shed a handful of contracts for pennies on the dollar. They clearly love their roster and hope it is good enough to win the city’s first professional championship since Jim Brown won an NFL Championship with the Browns.

We will be posting a team preview for every team up until the start of the regular season.

Here is the 2014-15 NBA season preview for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

2014-15 NBA Team Preview: Chicago Bulls

Chicago Bulls emo shirt funny NBA team previewA power shift is happening in Eastern Conference. The departure of LeBron James from Miami and Paul George’s injury will mean new faces will be atop the East Cleveland and Chicago will most likely be the two teams fighting for home-court advantage.

Chicago has some new faces and one important one returning from two injuries, Derrick Rose. Pau Gasol, Aaron Brooks and European star Nijola Mirotic will be making their Chicago debuts this season. The Brooks signing was sneaky good, since Rose will definitely need to rest his knees at times.

The Bulls exceeded expectations after Rose went down with another knee injury last season. Joakim Noah put the team on his back and put up insane numbers. Can he repeat last year’s MVP-worthy performance?

We will be posting a team preview for every team up until the start of the regular season.

Here is the 2014-15 NBA season preview for the Chicago Bulls.

2014-15 NBA Team Preview: Charlotte Hornets

Charlotte Hornets Noah Vonleh Starter Jacket retro 2014-15 nba indiana hoosiersWhen Lance Stephenson signed with Charlotte, a little part of me died. As a Pacers fan, he made every game exciting. You never knew which Lance you were going to get. The Lance that would do anything for his team to win or the Lance that was just out there trying to cause trouble.

Not only does Charlotte get Stephenson, but they get their nickname back! Dust off your old Hornets Starter jackets and Muggsy Bogues throwback jerseys, guys. It should be a fun season in Charlotte. I mean, just look at their awesome new court.

Did Charlotte’s name change rid themselves of the ‘Bobcats stink’?

We will be posting a team preview for every team up until the start of the regular season.

2014 NFL Week 6 – Betting Picks Against Spread

Ben Roethlisberger Funny Weird Pittsburgh Steelers Cleveland Browns NFLVegas is starting to key into these teams. Yes, a few point spreads last week weren’t even close, but a handful were won or lost by a single point. We went 7-7-1 and are now 38-36-1 against the spread on the season.

It’s time to zig and zag in the NFL. If you’ve been riding a team so far this season, it could be time to jump off before things get ugly. It might be time to…*gulp* bet on the Jaguars. OH, THE HORROR!

I had a decent year betting against the spread in the NFL last season (133-95-10). Any year you hit nearly 60% of the NFL games against the spread is a damn good year. I hope to keep it going in 2014.

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 6 of the 2014 NFL season.

2014 NCAA Football – Week 7 Betting Picks Against Spread

Week 6 was insane. I was glad to come out of that week alive with an 11-9 record. I am now currently 53-44-2 on the season.

After many of the top teams were beaten, you should be able to find some favorable lines. Good teams can have a bad week. It’s our job to try to figure out if a team just had a hiccup or if they were exposed.

After this week, you should have a better idea which teams are legit. Many of the top teams face each other again, so after the dust settles, we should know which SEC and Pac-12 teams are contenders.

We were 134-79-8 against the spread betting on college football games last season. We hope to keep it going and help you guys out again this season.

We pick against the spread for all the big college football games on Saturday (October 11th, 2014), and picked some smaller conference games as well. Enjoy!

2014-15 NBA Team Preview: Brooklyn Nets

Brooklyn’s expectations have been through the roof since they moved to Barclay’s Center. The Russian has yet to really put a great team on the court. There are even rumors that he’s open to selling the team or arena…a rumor that Nets GM Billy King refuted.

The Nets are without a few familiar faces that moved on this offseason. Paul Pierce and underrated big man, Andray Blatche will certainly be missed. Did King sign adequate replacements?

The Nets have been in the middle of the pack in the Eastern Conference, but with the Pacers and Heat looking like they could slide, could Brooklyn take their spot as one of the elite teams in the conference?

We will be posting a team preview for every team up until the start of the regular season.

2014-15 NBA Team Preview: Boston Celtics

Since Bill Simmons is currently on suspension, someone has to step up and write a Boston Celtics team preview, right?

The Celtics were really hoping to land one of the first two picks in last year’s NBA Draft, but Cleveland got lucky once again (and Philadelphia/Milwaukee were both stupid bad).

Head coach Brad Stevens didn’t do anything to make us think the stage is too big for him. That is all Boston really wanted to see in his first year. They are in the middle of a rebuilding process, so win-total expectations were very low.

We will be posting a team preview for every team up until the start of the regular season.

Here is the 2014-15 NBA season preview for the Boston Celtics.

2014-15 NBA Team Preview: Atlanta Hawks

I doubt many fans buy NBA League Pass to watch the Atlanta Hawks games, but they are sneaky good. They won’t ‘wow’ you with flash, but if you like three-point shooting, you loved watching them last season.

Jeff Teague impressed many NBA fans with his play against the Indiana Pacers in the playoffs. He held his own against players with much more playoff experience. I look for him to keep improving and possibly be in play for a spot on the All-Star Game roster.

The major key to Atlanta’s success is Al Horford’s ability to stay healthy. He’s had two torn pectoral muscles derail back-to-back seasons. If he stays healthy, it’s hard to omit Atlanta from the playoff picture.

We will be posting a team preview for every team up until the start of the regular season.

Here is the 2014-15 NBA season preview for the Atlanta Hawks.

2014 NFL Week 5 – Betting Picks Against Spread

Jerry Jones Hulk Hogan Lebron James Dallas Cowboys 2014Last week was a rough one for us. We went 5-7 and are now 31-29 against the spread on the season.

Value is what you need to see when you’re looking at NFL point spreads. It’s harder to see than in college football betting lines, so sometimes it comes down to a hunch…even if you’ve spent 30 minutes crunching numbers.

I had a decent year betting against the spread in the NFL last season (133-95-10). Any year you hit nearly 60% of the NFL games against the spread is a damn good year. I hope to keep it going in 2014.

2014 NCAA Football – Week 6 Betting Picks Against Spread

I (once again) went 12-7-1 with last week’s college football picks against the spread. Even though I had a few close misses, I felt like I made smart plays. I am currently 42-35-2 on the season.

You will have some issues picking teams this week. There are a lot of road teams with favorable point spreads. I advise you to tread lightly, since this is part of the season in which weird things happen.

The Pac-12 and the SEC are proving themselves to be the top conferences in college football. On the other side of the coin, the Big Ten is imploding before our eyes. It’s already been an exciting season.

We were 134-79-8 against the spread betting on college football games last season. We hope to keep it going and help you guys out again this season.

We pick against the spread for all the big college football games on Saturday (October 4th, 2014), and picked some smaller conference games as well. Enjoy!
