I went 3-1 against the spread in the first round of the College Football Playoff.

The first-round of the College Football Playoff had a pair of fun outings, and two games that were out-of-hand against non-Power Four teams. We won’t have those kind of talent disparities going forward, since all eight teams are battle-tested.

2025 NFL Week 17 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 9-5-1 in Week 15 of the NFL football season.

We have three games on Christmas Day this year. The NFL is putting the screws to the NBA, who once dominated the holiday.

I am fighting my way back to avoid my first losing season in all the years I’ve been posting my picks against the spread. Last week’s games helps close the deficit to just three games. That can easily be made up with two more of the regular season and the playoffs left.

We have a pair of new third-string quarterbacks taking the ball this week. The Commanders and Chiefs will both have new faces under center.

Can the Bears clinch the NFC North?

2025 NCAA Football – College Football Playoff – 1st Round

I usually completely ignore all the bowl games, because it doesn’t work with a weekly pick format. I have enjoyed the College Football Playoff and it works with what I do.

We have some fun match-ups in FBS conference championship games. I personally can’t wait to watch Indiana and Ohio State face off in Indianapolis. I grew up in Indiana and spent nearly a decade in Columbus, Ohio.

Can either of these non-Power Four teams upset their opponent in the first round?

I went 6-9 in Week 15 of the NFL football season.

I was extraordinarily late posting my picks, so I wasn’t able to pick the Thursday night game, so I only had 15 picks last week.

I need some big weeks to climb back and avoid my first-ever below .500 season since I started doing this many years ago.

We have some changes at quarterback this week, so there are a few tough games to handicap on the schedule.

We have some strange teams battling for their playoff lives right now. The Chiefs, Ravens and Bills could see their playoff hopes take a huge dive with losses this week. Those teams are usually on cruise control for their division crown, or at least have a lead to do so.

2025 NFL Week 12 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 7-6-2 against the spread during the tenth week of the 2025 NFL season.

The betting lines were extremely close to the actual outcomes last week. We will start to see this more as sportsbooks and bettors are dialing in on teams.

We saw some injuries at quarterback the last few weeks, The Falcons lost QB Michael Penix for the year, and Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers broke his wrist. On the flipside, the Giants will get rookie QB Jaxson Dart back from concussion.

In week eleven of the college football season, I went 15-10 against the spread.

It’s the time of year when the top teams can struggle against familiar conference opponents. We nearly saw an upset last week when Indiana traveled to Penn State. The Hoosiers won that game by the tip of a wide receiver’s toe. Also, BYU fell after losing their first game of the year.

Can Indiana stay perfect against Wisconsin?

2025 NFL Week 11 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 6-8 against the spread during the tenth week of the 2025 NFL season.

I had a rough start to the games on Sunday, but thankfully, I nearly ran the table after that to keep myself from a disastrous week.

There are some fun games on the schedule, with only two teams out on bye.

The best game could be the Seahawks at Rams, which will help secure the leader in the NFC West.
