2023 NFL Week 1 – Betting Picks Against Spread

Are you ready to place your bets?

I went 148-133-8 against the spread last season. It wasn’t a banner year and I just hovered around .500 all season long. I hope to start the year off with a big week.

I decided to kick off the season a little different this season. I decided to get some help fleshing out the opening week’s column. I asked Google’s Generative AI to add some season preview insight about every team. Their input is the first two paragraphs of every game breakdown. Artificial Intelligence still has a long way to go for accuracy, so I had to correct some items…as it thought Mike McCarthy was the Patriots head coach.

2022 NFL Week 15 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 7-6 against the spread last week.

Once again, I finished the week near-.500. It’s almost automatic at this point, but I hope that a full slate of games will end this streak of parity.

We only have one double-digit point spread this week. We usually have three of four double-digit betting lines this time of year. We will see way more in the coming weeks, so enjoy this week.

The Cardinals vs Broncos game might be the worst game of the year. I feel sorry for people in those regions.

2022 NFL Week 13 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 9-7 against the spread last week.

Another week, another near-.500 week for ole’ Sweetbob. I need to snap this streak and hopefully it will happen this weekend.

It was nice to not have a load of games on Thursday again. I really had to slam through all of my weekly content on Tuesday. I like to take my time on the picks, but it couldn’t happen during a Thanksgiving week.

I had a late start to this week’s content as I went to an All Elite Wrestling signing on Tuesday in Indianapolis. It was cool to meet my very nice, very evil hero Danhausen.

2022 NFL Week 11 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 7-6-1 against the spread last week.

It was a nice rebound after the previous week’s implosion. It wasn’t a fantastic outcome, but I was glad to come out (slightly) ahead again.

We don’t have an early European game this week, but we will see a Monday night game in Mexico. I can deal with that much better than the usual garbage we see in those games overseas.

2022 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 9

There are a whopping six teams out on bye this week.

The Cleveland Browns, Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos, New York Giants, Pittsburgh Steelers and the San Francisco 49ers are all out.

You could still be in the market to replace a lot of flex-level fantasy players. There aren’t many studs on the bye teams this week, but your lineup could still be crippled.

2022 NFL Week 3 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 8-8 against the spread last week.

This week’s NFL betting picks was up later than I usually like due to attending an Alice Cooper concert on Tuesday and being in a Nyquil haze due to a lingering cough. It was a good time and I suggest seeing his show while he’s still out there.

There are a few surprise 2-0 teams against the spread right now. No one thought the New York Giants would be among that group, and the Detroit Lions occupy that space as well.

Sleepers aren’t the only roster spots you could cut, as quarterbacks like Denver’s Russell Wilson and Indy’s Matt Ryan aren’t scoring enough points for you to win games.

2021 NFL Week 15 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 9-4-1 against the spread last week.

As of Wednesday evening, there are 90 NFL players on the COVID list. There are many key players that will miss this weekend’s games. I actually had a large chunk of this written on Tuesday, but as more and more names were placed on the list, I decided to wait an extra day to post my NFL betting picks. This could become the norm due to the variant’s infection rate.

2021 NFL Week 14 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 8-6 against the spread last week.

I only had one loss after the early games on Sunday, but the late games really destroyed my hopes of a huge week. I did hit a nice Lions moneyline play which kept me in the black this weekend.

The primetime games on Sunday and Monday nights are great. The Bills/Bucs and Rams/Cardinals games will have playoff implications.

Can the Washington Football Team win their fifth game in-a-row and cover against the Cowboys?
