2018 NFL Week 15 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 8-8 against the spread last week.

I may have went .500 last week, but I did personally benefit from Raiders and Dolphins moneyline bets. I didn’t bet a ton on those underdog moneylines, but it put me in the black for the weekend.

It’s time to start figuring out if a team still has anything left to play for this season. All the potential playoff teams haven’t clinched a specific seed yet, so there aren’t any that are resting their guys (but it could happen next week).

Also, teams like the Raiders, who will not benefit from a win, are still playing hard (see: last week’s win). Don’t automatically go against a team that you feel is tanking. There are 53 guys on that team still playing for another paycheck next season.

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 15 of the 2018 NFL season.

2018 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 15

We are in playoff mode.

I took a week off of writing about fantasy football due to, um, life. I was just so darn busy and had to make a couple long trips during the week. I had no time to sit down and pump out my fantasy suggestions or go in-depth with my NFL betting picks.

I made the postseason in all but one of my leagues this season (I stashed Le’Veon Bell in that failed league). I wish everyone luck as you (hopefully) move into the championship game next week.

Here is our Fantasy Football Sit/Start for Week 15 of the 2018 NFL season…and enjoy our awesome MS Paint masterpiece of QB Andrew Luck of the Indianapolis Colts.

Harold Baines Just Ruined the Baseball Hall of Fame

The Baseball Hall of Fame Today’s Era Committee announced they voted Relief Pitcher Lee Smith and Outfielder/DH Harold Baines into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Smith was slowly gaining votes, but only received 34% of the votes in his fifteenth and final year on the ballot.

Baines was only on the regular Hall of Fame ballot just a few seasons as he fell under the 5% threshold on his fourth year and only had a max 6.1% of voters in 2010.

I can understand Lee Smith’s legitimacy as a Hall of Fame candidate. He was a reliever that often pitched multiples innings to get saves. The Hall of Fame was late to the game when it came to voting in relievers. He was a member of some good teams and he was a large part in maintaining those wins. He held the title of Most Career Saves for thirteen years, until Trevor Hoffman surpassed him in 2006. Continue reading

2018 NFL Week 14 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 7-8-1 against the spread last week.

I’ve been traveling a lot this week and I haven’t had a ton of time to write up my fantasy football and NFL football picks against the spread. I have done a lot of research, but it has just come down to putting ‘pen to paper’ (or the equivalent of today’s technology).

I was unable to carve enough time to write up a fantasy football post this week, but I at least needed to post my betting picks. I wasn’t able to give any insight into my picks, but I put as much time in the picking the games as usual.

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 14 of the 2018 NFL season.

Sports Crush: Carmella

It’s been awhile since we added to our ‘Sports Crush’ list.

We’ve written over a dozen ‘Sports Crush’ posts since we launched AmericasWhiteBoy.com. We have spotlighted a ton of WWE Divas (Becky Lynch, Mandy RoseSasha BanksAlexa Bliss, Liv Morgan and others). The readers keep viewing those posts, so we will keep delivering new female wrestlers like recent WWE’s Carmella.

Carmella (Leah Van Dale) was a Laker Girl in the NBA and cheerleader for the New England Patriots. She is a second-generation wrestler, as her father was an enhancement talent in the 80’s and 90’s. She made her debut in NXT as the valet for Big Cass and Enzo Amore. She has now outlasted both of those guys and has a prominent role on Smackdown Live.

Check out why we are crushing on Carmella with our picture gallery, and a very special .gif.

2018 NCAA Football – Week 14 Betting Picks Against Spread

I finished 12-12-1 against the spread (again) last week.

This is championship week!

There are a few regular season games being played this week as well due to Hurricanes and wildfires, but this is where the head coaches make their money. They need their players playing the best at the end of the season.

Nearly every team in the College Football Playoff contention are playing this week, could they fall prey to the ‘trap game’ by over-looking this week’s opponent?

We at ‘America’s White Boy’ pick EVERY college football game against the spread in Week 14 of the 2018-19 NCAA Football season (December 1st, 2018). We also pick some smaller conference games.

2018 NFL Week 13 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 8-6-1 against the spread last week.

I was a half-point away from going 3-0 against the spread for the third-straight year. Oh well, I ate a lot of turkey and took a nap during the Redskins/Cowboys game, so all was not lost.

We are back to a full sixteen-game slate through the rest of the season. A lot more writing to do every week and analysis to do, but college football regular season is ending, so it all evens out.

Can Baltimore Ravens rookie QB Lamar Jackson start his career with three-straight wins?

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 13 of the 2018 NFL season.

2018 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 13

There are finally no more bye weeks left in the NFL season…but injuries are still knocking out decent fantasy players, so depth is still as important than ever.

Also, you will start to see more and more teams that are ‘out of contention’ start to sit their star players…or star players will begin to sit for relatively minor injuries.

You could have some logjams are different positions now that a full sixteen-game schedule is underway. We will try to help you whittle down your decisions.

Here is our Fantasy Football Sit/Start for Week 13 of the 2018 NFL season…and enjoy our awesome MS Paint masterpiece of Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton

Think You Hate Sports? Think Again!

Have you ever been in that position where someone asks you about sports? Even something simple like, what sports you watch? And you just can’t give them an answer. It’s not even that you don’t like sports! You’ve always liked the idea of getting into them, but you’ve just been able to do it.

There’s nothing more awkward than when someone asks you something about sports and then all you can manage is a vague shrug. It’s the same with everyone crowding around the office water cooler to rave about some sports game, and you’re left on the outside. Well worry not, here are three spectator sports that you can get into easily and finally join in the discussion.

2018 NCAA Football – Week 13 Betting Picks Against Spread

I finished 14-11 against the spread last week.

There are huge rivalry games on the schedule this week.

Rivalry games can sometimes be difficult to handicap. The teams come in extra motivated and sometimes players have their own personal motivation (i.e. not getting a scholarship offer, growing up with a hatred of rival). There are just factors you can’t throw into a calculator and use in your decision-making process.

Also, this is ‘sort of’ the last week of the regular season. There are other games after this week, but this is the traditional end of the regular season for most college football teams…and weird stuff tends to happen this week.

We at ‘America’s White Boy’ pick 25 college football games against the spread in Week 13 of the 2018-19 NCAA Football season (November, 24th, 2018). We also pick some smaller conference games.

2018 NFL Week 12 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 7-5-1 against the spread last week.

I’ve historically done very well on Thanksgiving. I’ve been perfect the last two Turkey Days. I’ve at least went 2-1 every year for as long as I can remember. I’ve just been able to find value with these lines.

…and I hope I didn’t just jinx it.

There are fifteen games on the schedule for the first time in awhile. This is the final week for byes, so we are going back to a sixteen game schedule next week.

Will Matthew Stafford lay an egg on Thanksgiving?

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 12 of the 2018 NFL season.
