2018 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 16

Welcome to Championship Week(s).

Based on how your league is structured, this could be your lone Championship game or first of two weeks. I’m a fan of not including Week 17 in your fantasy league, but it does make things interesting with stars resting before the Playoffs.

Did you make it to your championship game or are you just battling for a bronze medal this week?

2018 NFL Week 15 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 8-8 against the spread last week.

I may have went .500 last week, but I did personally benefit from Raiders and Dolphins moneyline bets. I didn’t bet a ton on those underdog moneylines, but it put me in the black for the weekend.

It’s time to start figuring out if a team still has anything left to play for this season. All the potential playoff teams haven’t clinched a specific seed yet, so there aren’t any that are resting their guys (but it could happen next week).

Also, teams like the Raiders, who will not benefit from a win, are still playing hard (see: last week’s win). Don’t automatically go against a team that you feel is tanking. There are 53 guys on that team still playing for another paycheck next season.

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 15 of the 2018 NFL season.

2018 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 15

We are in playoff mode.

I took a week off of writing about fantasy football due to, um, life. I was just so darn busy and had to make a couple long trips during the week. I had no time to sit down and pump out my fantasy suggestions or go in-depth with my NFL betting picks.

I made the postseason in all but one of my leagues this season (I stashed Le’Veon Bell in that failed league). I wish everyone luck as you (hopefully) move into the championship game next week.

2018 NFL Week 14 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 7-8-1 against the spread last week.

I’ve been traveling a lot this week and I haven’t had a ton of time to write up my fantasy football and NFL football picks against the spread. I have done a lot of research, but it has just come down to putting ‘pen to paper’ (or the equivalent of today’s technology).

I was unable to carve enough time to write up a fantasy football post this week, but I at least needed to post my betting picks. I wasn’t able to give any insight into my picks, but I put as much time in the picking the games as usual.

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 14 of the 2018 NFL season.

2018 NFL Week 13 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 8-6-1 against the spread last week.

I was a half-point away from going 3-0 against the spread for the third-straight year. Oh well, I ate a lot of turkey and took a nap during the Redskins/Cowboys game, so all was not lost.

We are back to a full sixteen-game slate through the rest of the season. A lot more writing to do every week and analysis to do, but college football regular season is ending, so it all evens out.

Can Baltimore Ravens rookie QB Lamar Jackson start his career with three-straight wins?

2018 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 13

There are finally no more bye weeks left in the NFL season…but injuries are still knocking out decent fantasy players, so depth is still as important than ever.

Also, you will start to see more and more teams that are ‘out of contention’ start to sit their star players…or star players will begin to sit for relatively minor injuries.

You could have some logjams are different positions now that a full sixteen-game schedule is underway. We will try to help you whittle down your decisions.

2018 NFL Week 12 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 7-5-1 against the spread last week.

I’ve historically done very well on Thanksgiving. I’ve been perfect the last two Turkey Days. I’ve at least went 2-1 every year for as long as I can remember. I’ve just been able to find value with these lines.

…and I hope I didn’t just jinx it.

There are fifteen games on the schedule for the first time in awhile. This is the final week for byes, so we are going back to a sixteen game schedule next week.

Will Matthew Stafford lay an egg on Thanksgiving?

2018 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 12

This is the last week of bye weeks and there are only two teams sitting out, but they are two huge teams in fantasy, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Rams.

There’s a chance there you could be in the need for a lot on your team. The Chiefs and Saints are loaded with fantasy studs and you could be hurting this week.

There are some good match-ups on Thanksgiving that could benefit your fantasy team. Are there any players on the Falcons worth picking up?

2018 NFL Week 11 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 8-3-1 against the spread last week. I’ve went 18-6-1 over the last two weeks. This makes up for hovering around .500 in the first-half of the year.

I started the year off pretty bland, but I’m getting a better feel for the teams now. I just had to adjust my rankings a bit. Also, the half-point losses were a killer early this season. I’ve been on the right side of those the last month.

There are a few marquee games that could decide divisions (Minnesota at Chicago) and one that could be a Super Bowl preview (Kansas City at L.A. Rams).

2018 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 11

There are six teams on bye this week. Buffalo, Cleveland, Miami, New England, New York (Jets) and San Francisco are all off.

You could be in need of replacements for a fantasy stud like QB Tom Brady. The rest of the teams on bye don’t have many must-start guys and are mostly guys that fill up your flex spots week-to-week.

Most leagues have their trade deadline this week or next. If you’re in a dynasty league, it’s time to pull the trigger on some trades if you’re clearly out of the playoff picture.

2018 NFL Week 10 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 10-3 against the spread last week.

I started the year off pretty bland, but I’m getting a better feel for the teams now. I just had to adjust my rankings a bit. Also, the half-point losses were a killer early this season. I’ve been on the right side of those the last three weeks.

Which teams are tanking for a draft pick? The Raiders, Browns, Giants and Bills are making a run to the bottom of the league. You could make a case that all but one of those teams are in the market for a talented young quarterback.

Should tanking affect your betting strategy? Yes, but it’s a little too early to hold that against most teams…but the Raiders are definitely tanking right now.

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 10 of the 2018 NFL season.

2018 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 10

There are four teams on bye this week. The Broncos, Vikings, Ravens and the Texans are all off.

You could be in need of replacements for fantasy studs like QB Kirk Cousins, WR DeAndre Hopkins or WR Adam Thielen.

Now that many of your players have dealt with bye weeks, it’s time to look at your roster and trim the fat. There may not be a need to carry two tight ends anymore. You can build your roster towards the fantasy playoffs.

When is your league trade deadline? If it hasn’t passed, you could look to improve your team through late-season trades.
