The 30 Hottest Female Athletes of the 2018 Winter Olympics

The 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea will begin in early February. We want to make sure our readers are as informed as possible. We have logged in a couple hours scouting the female ‘talent’ who will compete in this year’s Winter Olympic games.

We wanted to make sure that we only list the female olympians you will see during the telecast on NBC. Every female athlete in this post (should) be there barring injury or failed trial attempt.

This year’s list took a hit when the Russia team was hit with a ban and there was a doping scandal in freestyle skiing that took out a few from our 2014 Winter Olympics list.

This list of the 30 hottest/sexiest female athletes who will compete in the 2018 Winter Olympics come from a wide range of sports. We have ladies who compete in snowboarding, curling, bobsledding, skiing and even hockey! A few of the names will be familiar to you, but we have picked out a few sleepers who will turn heads and make appearances on every sports blog the day after their event.

Have a seat, open a beer, and enjoy the view…

Swimmer Ryan Lochte Rescued From Drowning After Olympics Thanks To Finance Company

160819-lochte-0432_c60bfaf14ac110d64f37cad517fd9897.nbcnews-ux-2880-1000Medals are won and prizes are claimed at this kind of competition, but swimmer Ryan Lochte rescued from drowning after Olympics thanks to finance company.

Lochte is a professional swimmer, yet he was drowning in a sea of trouble after the Olympics. Troubles like these could seem endless for anybody, especially a 12-time Olympic medalist.

Some could argue that the swimmer’s problems were self-inflicted, but that does not mean he does not deserve the second chance given to him by Debt.com. In fact, the deal was for a campaign called “Second Chance”, which was only fitting.

Curling: How To Play The Best Winter Olympic Sport

Norway Olympics Curling BlondeEvery four years, I look forward to the Winter Olympics. Household names are few and far between and you learn how freaking quirky these athletes are.

The sport I end up watching the most is curling. I first started watching this sport during the 2006 Olympics and I must have watched a dozen hours. I knew nothing about it and learned the rules on the fly. It was a lot of fun, but you rarely ever see it televised during Olympic off-years.

Most people try to explain curling with the phrase, “It’s like shuffleboard.” Okay, unless you live in a retirement community, you don’t know much about that ‘sport’ either.

We explain the basic rules of curling and why it’s the best sport in the Winter Olympics.

The Ladies of 2013 ESPY Awards [PHOTOS]

selena-gomez-espys-2013-red-carpet-montageThe ESPY awards are often filler on a day when no major sports play games…like zero games.

I don’t often watch the ESPYs, but I watched the entire thing, even part of the pre-show, because you all know how much we love Samantha Steele (we don’t call her Samantha Ponder on this site).

We surfed the internet and cherry-picked the best of the best photos from the ladies who attended the 2013 ESPYs.

One lady specifically came out of nowhere and was stunning. Here’s a hint…she’s a former Winter Olympian for the United States. Here are the red carpet photos from this year’s ESPYs. Continue reading

Sports Crush (Olympics Edition): Alex Morgan

alex+morgan+body+paint+soccer
The 2012 London Olympics was a treasure trove of attractive people. Who would have thought that active people could be so beautiful? (I’m being extremely snarky)

Team USA’s women’s soccer team was dominant and took home the gold medal. They all buy choked in the World Cup, but they redeemed themselves  by defeating Japan in the final. Carli Lloyd, Hope Solo and our current Sports Crush, Alex Morgan, helped lead the team.

Solo was the darling of the World Cup and since Morgan is one of the  of the London games, she will get fifteen minutes of fame. She may not follow Solo by joining the cast of “Dancing with the Stars”, but it would increase the viewership in the 18-49 male demographic. Morgan was rumored to be romantically linked to Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez earlier this year, but now she is rumored to be dating soccer player Servando Carrasco.

Here is a photo gallery of our current Sports Crush, soccer player Alex Morgan. Continue reading

Sports Crush (Olympics Edition): Jen Kessy & April Ross

We already know who Missy May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh-Jennings are, but U.S. Women’s Beach Volleyball has two new members that everyone should know. Jennifer Kessy and April Ross will be household names by the end of the 2012 Olympics.

The duo barely missed making the 2008 Olympics, but went on to win the 2009 World Championships.

Beach volleyball fans already know them and they are expected to do very well in the 2012 Olympics. I hope they win a medal, because ABC needs new women athletes to invite to participate in ‘Dancing with the Stars’.

After the Olympics, they could have hyphens after their names real soon, just like May and Walsh…Jen Kessy-Roberts sounds nice.

Here is a photo gallery of the Kessy/Ross beach volleyball duo. Continue reading

10 Reasons Why Rio De Janeiro Is Better Than Chicago

Brazil beat out Chicago to host the 2016 Olympic games. A lot of Americans are bummed out, but I’m here to help out. We think Chicago would be an awesome place to hold the Olympics. We have Micheal Jordan, Blues Brothers, The huge mirrored bean thing, and Jay Cutler, what more could we ask for. I’m here to sway everyone’s opinion on why Rio De Janeiro, Brazil is a better place to hold the 2016 Olympics. Mark your calendars and book your flights, at least we’ll have an Olympiad near our time zone.

10. Estadio do Marcana – It’s a huge soccer stadium that will hold some of the events. It’s not as cool as that weird bird’s nest thing that China built, but it’s pretty sweet. A lot of great soccer players have played there and it has held World Cups. Ronaldo has probably had a few groupies in it too.

9. Samba Music – Okay, I’ll admit that Chicago may have better music, but wouldn’t you get tired of having guys like Fall Out Boy or the band Chicago play the opening ceremonies? I think samba music would add to feel of the Olympics.

8. Copacabana Beach – Okay, I may have a little obsession with Barry Manilow, but c’mon, they named a bikini after Brazil! It’s one of the best beaches in the world and you can bet that it has some nice “talent.” They know it too, I got that picture off of the tourism site.

7. Christ The Redeemer – Doesn’t that statue just beg for a huge gold medal to be placed around his neck? Maybe that could erect a huge Olympic torch that is attached to one of his hands. Am I the only person that thinks that this is an amazing idea?

6. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu – This is for all of my MMA fans out there. The UFC would just be a bunch of boxers if it wasn’t for Royce Gracie. He won the first, second, and forth Ultimate Fighting Championship and dominated the sport. Since then, about every major champion has had some sort of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training.

5. Rio Is Farther Away From Gary, Indiana – This may have been a low-blow to the natives of Gary, Indiana, but you know what’s up with your town. I have driven through it many times it smells like a combination of root beer, burning tires, and wet dog. Please don’t shoot me, my sneakers are two years old.

4. Adriana Lima Is From Brazil – She isn’t from Rio De Janeiro, but she is from nearby Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. I think for all that she has given this world, maybe we owe her some happiness by having her home country host the Olympics. We’re even Adriana, now you can go ahead and end that ridiculous relationship with Marko Jaric.

3. Brazilian Wax – This could be one of the best inventions/ideas since the airplane. Can you imagine if Chicago invented something called “the Chicago wax”? I can only imagine that it would involve either armpit or facial hair. I mean no insult to the women of Chicago, because it would probably be a wax for the men.

2. Carnaval – This is on my bucket list of events to attend before I die. It is New Orleans Mardi Gras multiplied by ten. Days of just nonstop parades and parties, sounds like a fantastic time. Employers actually make it like a national holiday where people don’t go to work to celebrate.

1. Duran Duran Never Wrote A Song About Chicago – I was a huge fan of “Hungry As A Wolf” when I was little and “Rio” was a great song as well. I would like to start a campaign for Duran Duran’s “Rio” to be the official theme song of the 2016 Olympiad. Who is with me?
