2024 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 2

I hope everyone out there started the year off with a win, but that’s not possible. If you’re 0-1, don’t make any roster-changing decisions after just one week.

Some past fantasy studs have either changed teams or had their offenses changed due to new coaching hires. The biggest change has been with QB Justin Herbert and his Los Angeles Chargers. Can he still be a fantasy starter in a run-heavy offense?

Here is our Fantasy Football Sit/Start for Week 2 of the 2024 NFL season…and enjoy our awesome MS Paint masterpiece of QB Anthony Richardson of the Indianapolis Colts.

2019 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 14

Kirk Cousins dottedNow that we are in the fantasy playoffs, consistency is key. You can’t go in there with a dud quarterback or a tight end that just doesn’t get enough targets.

There are plenty of players out there that are owned in way too many leagues. They are being outperformed by players with almost single-digit ownership. It’s time to cut bait with those players and pick up a player with more playing time.

Did you make the playoffs in your fantasy league?

Here is our Fantasy Football Sit/Start for Week 14 of the 2019 NFL season…and enjoy our awesome MS Paint masterpiece of QB Kirk Cousins of the Minnesota Vikings.

2019 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 13

ryan tannehill dottedWe have full strength teams from this point until the end of the season, but it’s still important to look at match-ups. Even some of the better players in fantasy can run into a bad match-up.

You may begin to start having some tough decisions every week. That flex spot could be a hard one to pick. Bye weeks suck, but they can make decisions much easier since you don’t have many options. Don’t stress too much about it. I tend to stress a little, but once I make a decision, I set my lineup and forget it.

2019 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 12

Le'Veon Bell dotted JetsThis is the final week of byes, so we will have a full schedule of sixteen games starting next week.

The Kansas City Chiefs, Minnesota Vikings, Arizona Cardinals and the Los Angeles Chargers are on bye this week. It’s a pretty quarterback-heavy group, so you might be looking for a quarterback to stream this week while your starting QB has the week off.

Some of the top fantasy quarterbacks have tough matchups this week. Baltimore QB Lamar Jackson faces the Rams, New England’s Tom Brady faces the Cowboys and Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers faces the 49ers.

2019 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 4

daniel jones dottedThe usual top fantasy quarterbacks aren’t having the best years. Most have been bitten by the injury bug or overall ineptitude. Backups have risen to the challenge and we have guys like Giants QB Daniel Jones and Panthers QB Kyle Allen killing it in fantasy last week.

Bye weeks start in Week 4, but luckily the two teams on bye aren’t stacked with fantasy studs. The San Francisco 49ers and New York Jets are the two teams sitting this week out.

Which young backup quarterback will have the best fantasy output this weekend: Kyle Allen, Daniel Jones or Gardner Minshew?

Super Bowl 53 – Betting Picks Against Spread & Prop Bets

I LOVE prop bets. I actually get more joy out of betting Super Bowl prop bets than betting against the spread. Yes, most are a crap shoot, but with the right research, you can end up winning bets with very favorable odds.

I’m not saying you can research who will win the coin toss, but there are many other player and team prop bets out there that have nice odds.

Some prop bets aren’t worth the money (the vig isn’t worth the slight risk), but sometimes you just have to lay a few bucks down, cross your fingers and wish for the best.

I picked out some of the most popular (and the most absurd) prop bets for Super Bowl 53 (or Super Bowl LIII for Roman numeral fans)…and we also pick the game against the spread.

2018 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 16

Welcome to Championship Week(s).

Based on how your league is structured, this could be your lone Championship game or first of two weeks. I’m a fan of not including Week 17 in your fantasy league, but it does make things interesting with stars resting before the Playoffs.

Did you make it to your championship game or are you just battling for a bronze medal this week?

Here is our Fantasy Football Sit/Start for Week 16 of the 2018 NFL season…and enjoy our awesome MS Paint masterpiece of QB Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys.

2018 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 15

We are in playoff mode.

I took a week off of writing about fantasy football due to, um, life. I was just so darn busy and had to make a couple long trips during the week. I had no time to sit down and pump out my fantasy suggestions or go in-depth with my NFL betting picks.

I made the postseason in all but one of my leagues this season (I stashed Le’Veon Bell in that failed league). I wish everyone luck as you (hopefully) move into the championship game next week.

Here is our Fantasy Football Sit/Start for Week 15 of the 2018 NFL season…and enjoy our awesome MS Paint masterpiece of QB Andrew Luck of the Indianapolis Colts.

2018 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 9

A few solid fantasy contributors were traded this week. Will any make a big impact in their first week with their new team?

There are a whopping six teams on bye this week. The Bengals, Colts, Giants, Eagles, Cardinals and Jaguars are all on vacation.

You could be in need of replacements for fantasy studs like QB Carson Wentz, WR A.J. Green, RB Saquon Barkley and QB Andrew Luck.

2018 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 5

How are you doing through the first quarter of the regular season?

The Chicago Bears and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are off this week. You could be in the market to replace guys like RB Jordan Howard, RB Tarik Cohen, WR Mike Evans or a defense.

There are some pretty significant injuries again this week. The Colts will be without WR T.Y. Hilton and TE Jack Doyle, and Jacksonville could be without RB Leonard Fournette again.

There are also some players that could return this week like the often-injured RB Devonta Freeman and the now un-suspended RB Mark Ingram.

Here is our Fantasy Football Sit/Start for Week 5 of the 2018 NFL season…and enjoy our awesome MS Paint masterpiece of Los Angeles Rams Jared Goff.

2017 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 16

At this point, you’re either playing for the championship or you’re playing for pride.

If you’re thinking about bailing on the season because you’re not in the main playoffs, suck it up and play! There’s nothing worse than playing a guy in fantasy late in the season and seeing he is starting a ton of dudes on IR.

Here is our Fantasy Football Sit/Start for Week 16 of the 2017 NFL season…and enjoy our strange MS Paint masterpiece of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff.

I want to explain what I mean by “sit” and “start.” Of course you are going to start some of the guys i say to bench this week, because you probably used high draft picks or a lot of money in an auction for them. My ‘sit’ players are guys I am just not completely sold that they will have good weeks. If you have a guy that you are on the fence about, maybe this will help you pick between the players.

Who Will Win the NFL MVP This Season?

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz looked like he was a shoo-in for the MVP award this season. They were 10-2 going into last week and had the lead against the Rams when Wentz went down with an knee injury. Unfortunately for the Eagles, he has a torn ACL and will miss the rest of this season and possibly the start of next year.

Now that he’s most likely out of the race with three regular season games to go, there is no clear-cut favorite to win the MVP this season.

We look at the top betting favorites and decide if any are worth putting a few jellybeans down on them.

Can Wentz still win the MVP, even though he won’t play the final three games?
