2022 NFL Week 16 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 7-8-1 against the spread last week.

This week’s NFL gambling picks will be short and sweet.

I have long-term neck issues that stem from two bad car accident I had many years ago. I am dealing with a rather serious flare up and both of my hands are numb. I tried to write up my usual weekly article, but it was taking way too long. Who knew that dragging your uncoordinated hands around a keyboard would cause so many typos.

2022 NFL Week 15 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 7-6 against the spread last week.

Once again, I finished the week near-.500. It’s almost automatic at this point, but I hope that a full slate of games will end this streak of parity.

We only have one double-digit point spread this week. We usually have three of four double-digit betting lines this time of year. We will see way more in the coming weeks, so enjoy this week.

The Cardinals vs Broncos game might be the worst game of the year. I feel sorry for people in those regions.

2022 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 15

We will have full slates of games for the rest of the season.

You may have most of your roster set in stone, but there are always improvements to be made. I always look at which defenses I can stream and look to see there is an improvement I can pick up for one of my flex spots.

I try to suggest some under-the-radar adds for deeper leagues, and unless its a quarterback, I rarely add anyone above 90% ownership.

This week’s edition is pretty bare bones due to a time crunch. I make my sit/start suggestions, but I don’t have any commentary next to my picks. Next week’s edition will go back to my in-depth approach.

2022 NFL Week 13 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 9-7 against the spread last week.

Another week, another near-.500 week for ole’ Sweetbob. I need to snap this streak and hopefully it will happen this weekend.

It was nice to not have a load of games on Thursday again. I really had to slam through all of my weekly content on Tuesday. I like to take my time on the picks, but it couldn’t happen during a Thanksgiving week.

I had a late start to this week’s content as I went to an All Elite Wrestling signing on Tuesday in Indianapolis. It was cool to meet my very nice, very evil hero Danhausen.

2022 NFL Week 12 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 7-6-1 against the spread last week.

I need a big week after back-to-back 7-6-1 weeks. I’ve traditionally been very strong on Thanksgiving, but we will see. One of these years I’ll go back and figure out my Thanksgiving record. I’m writing this up late-Wednesday night, so there isn’t time to do that this year.

We are starting to see more double-digit point spreads, which happens more and more from late-November through the end of the season.

Can the Chiefs cover a 15-point spread over the Rams?

2022 NFL Week 7 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 10-4 against the spread last week.

I was finally able to crack a streak of .500-ish weeks. I was able to sweep the late-Sunday slate and all of the Primetime games. It was nice to get the monkey off my back, but I need to keep this going.

We have some quarterbacks that could return from injuries this week. Miami, New England and Dallas could all have their signal-callers in uniform this weekend.

Can the Falcons stay perfect against the spread?

2022 NFL Week 5 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 8-6-2 against the spread last week.

I was glad to see a winning record again after two bland weeks. A couple teams that I had ranking high, but fell on their faces in the first couple games, are finally playing up to their talent level. I expect the Raiders and Bengals will have some tempting point spreads the next couple weeks.

We have a couple games with big question marks at quarterback. The Patriots look to be starting rookie QB Bailey Zappe and the Cowboys are currently unsure if QB Dak Prescott will be healthy enough to suit this week.

How will the Bengals fare against the Baltimore Ravens?

2021 NFL Week 18 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 5-9-2 against the spread last week.

I usually write around 3,000 words in my weekly NFL betting picks column, but this week will be abbreviated due to my overall discomfort.

2021 NFL Week 17 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 9-7 against the spread last week.

COVID-19 is still running roughshod through the NFL. The list of players in COVID protocol keeps growing every single day. Luckily, asymptomatic players should be able to get off the list faster than in previous weeks due to new guidelines.

I would suggest placing your bets on Saturday night to try to avoid surprises. I was lucky last week and my bets weren’t destroyed by new COVID cases. Last week, I placed my bets Wednesday evening and I wouldn’t advise that unless you want to lock in an advantageous point spread.

Can the Los Angeles Rams cover on the road against Baltimore?

2021 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 17

We don’t have a Thursday game this week, so you will have a few extra days to tinker with your lineups.

I’ve been watching for new players placed on the COVID List, which haven’t been as fast and furious as this time last week. I still expect plenty of new names on the list by the kick-off this weekend. It really does throw a new wrench in fantasy football and sports betting.

Since the CDC reduced the amount of time asymptomatic people have to quarantine from ten to five, some of the names could be removed from the COVID list faster than in previous weeks.

Can Bengals QB Joe Burrow replicated his 525-yard performance he had against the Ravens?

2021 NFL Week 15 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 9-4-1 against the spread last week.

As of Wednesday evening, there are 90 NFL players on the COVID list. There are many key players that will miss this weekend’s games. I actually had a large chunk of this written on Tuesday, but as more and more names were placed on the list, I decided to wait an extra day to post my NFL betting picks. This could become the norm due to the variant’s infection rate.

Can the Patriots stop the Colts running game on Saturday?

2021 NFL Week 14 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 8-6 against the spread last week.

I only had one loss after the early games on Sunday, but the late games really destroyed my hopes of a huge week. I did hit a nice Lions moneyline play which kept me in the black this weekend.

The primetime games on Sunday and Monday nights are great. The Bills/Bucs and Rams/Cardinals games will have playoff implications.

Can the Washington Football Team win their fifth game in-a-row and cover against the Cowboys?
