2018 NFL Week 9 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 7-7 against the spread last week.

I went .500 with my NFL and college football picks last week. I didn’t have a huge string of wins, it was just win, loss, win, loss, all weekend long.

The trade deadline is now behind us. There were some notable trades, but the big names like Pittsburgh RB Le’Veon Bell didn’t get moved.

It’s clear that there are a handful of teams that have officially packed it in for the year. It’s easy to just write them off, but remember, there are 53 players on every team looking to improve their stock and keep their jobs next season. Just because a general manager wants a top draft pick next season doesn’t mean that team will lose every game left on the schedule.

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 9 of the 2018 NFL season.

2018 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 9

A few solid fantasy contributors were traded this week. Will any make a big impact in their first week with their new team?

There are a whopping six teams on bye this week. The Bengals, Colts, Giants, Eagles, Cardinals and Jaguars are all on vacation.

Is the Longer Extra-Point Hurting NFL Bettors?

The NFL moved their extra-point try back to a 33-yard attempt before the 2015 season. They first tried it during the preseason and found that moving it back gave the game a little extra drama that extra-points lacked. Also, kickers weren’t having any trouble connecting with the point after touchdown, the move wasn’t expected to have much more than just the appearance of drama.

Fans and NFL officials realized that kickers were becoming too darn good. Not only were kickers rarely missing extra points, but field goal success rate beyond 45 yards was at an all-time high. You would think that moving back extra-points to the 15-yard line wouldn’t be a huge change, but kickers started to miss them more than expected.

Through eight weeks of football, there have been 32 missed extra-points. In Week 8 alone, there were five missed, two in the Bengals/Bucs game on Sunday.

With all the missed extra-points the last three-and-a-half years, has the new rule cost bettors a win from what used to be a gimme point?

2018 NCAA Football – Week 9 Betting Picks Against Spread

I finished 16-9 against the spread last week.

After a few weeks of near .500 against the spread in college football, I finally had a week to hang my hat on.

I was getting frustrated and there was a couple weeks where I was a bit sluggish on writing my betting picks. They came out a day or two later than I normally write them (late-Wednesdays). I just had to re-evaluate some teams and tweak my own personal rankings.

We at ‘America’s White Boy’ pick 25 college football games against the spread in Week 9 of the 2018-19 NCAA Football season (October, 27th, 2018). We also pick some smaller conference games.

2018 NFL Week 8 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 8-5-1 against the spread last week.

I started out 0-2 against the spread, but went 8-2-1 after the London game ended on Sunday. I really needed that.

It might be time to abandon a team or jump on the bandwagon on a team that has struggled against the spread. Market corrections are coming soon for some of these teams.

Can Jacksonville QB Blake Bortles make a huge turnaround and keep his starting job? He will need a huge performance in London.

We pick ever NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 8 of the 2018 NFL season.

2018 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 8

The trade deadline is approaching and fantasy values of some players will change. Since they moved the deadline back a few years ago, ‘out of contention’ teams have looked to unload players for future picks.

There are still some pretty significant injuries again affecting teams this week. QB Deshaun Watson, RB LeSean McCoy and RB Marshawn Lynch are the new-ish names on the list.

Can the Cincinnati Bengals fantasy stars do some damage against the weak Tampa Bay Buccaneers pass defense?

2018 NCAA Football – Week 8 Betting Picks Against Spread

I finished under .500 (again) last week, but I think nearly everyone bombed last week. There were so many upsets that nearly half of the Top 25 lost and we have about half as many unbeaten teams left.

Try not to completely abandon your betting strategy if you had a bad week. It seems like every October there is one week out of the month that is just wacky. I hope you were able to land on an upset moneyline or two last week, because it was hard to volume bet games.

We at ‘America’s White Boy’ pick 25 college football games against the spread in Week 8 of the 2018-19 NCAA Football season (October, 20th, 2018). We also pick some smaller conference games.

2018 NFL Week 7 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 7-7-1 against the spread (again) last week.

I once again struggled with last week’s early games, but the late games were nice to me. I hope to kick this .500 week trend.

It’s almost time for weather reports to become a factor. It’s not usually a huge deal now that most teams have some sort of retractable roofs. It’s something to keep in mind going forward.

It might be time to abandon a team or jump on the bandwagon on a team that has struggled against the spread. Market corrections are coming soon for some of these teams.

Can Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky get a big win over the New England Patriots?

We pick ever NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 7 of the 2018 NFL season.

2018-19 NBA Season Wins Over/Under – Western Conference

The Golden State Warriors are the best team in the NBA and they added a few more elites players that are looking for a ring.

The balance of power was already in the Western Conference’s favor, but they tipped even more in their favor this offseason.

LeBron James will play his first season in the West after signing with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Can LeBron push the Los Angeles Lakers to 49 wins?

Here are our over/under season wins total picks for the NBA’s Western Conference.

2018 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 7

The Oakland Raiders, Pittsburgh Steelers, Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers are all out on bye this week. Your team could be in the market for a number of positions due to those teams being out.

There are still some pretty significant injuries again affecting teams this week. There are a handful of guys that can’t seem to heal from nagging hamstring injuries.

Can the Chicago Bears hang with the New England Patriots?

Here is our Fantasy Football Sit/Start for Week 7 of the 2018 NFL season…and enjoy our awesome MS Paint masterpiece of Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy.

2018-19 NBA Season Wins Over/Under – Eastern Conference

The NFL has pushed all other sports news off to the side, so some may not realize the NBA regular season starts on Tuesday.

It’s not too late to throw some jellybeans on a few NBA prop bets. Prop bets have become individualized so much that you can bet on a specific person’s assists per game for a season. I just like to stick to a vanilla approach to NBA props. My favorite NBA prop bets are regular season over/unders.

The Cleveland Cavs are without LeBron, again. Do they have enough talent left to eclipse 31 wins?

Here are our 2018-19 NBA over/under season wins total picks for the Eastern Conference.

Coffee Shop Managers Reveal Customer Habits That Annoy Them the Most

They are instructed to be warm and polite with customers at all times, but, there are certain annoying habits of customers in a coffee shop that the managers hate to the core. Although you might not have intended to, if you are guilty of any of the following activities in a coffee shop, then the manager has probably prayed that you never show up again. And, be careful, if you don’t keep a check on yourself they might just get back at you by serving you sneezers.

Let’s have a look…

Taking a long time to pay

Coffee shops hate clumsy payers. While there’s a long queue waiting behind you, they don’t expect you to take your own sweet time counting the cash, or maybe recalling the correct pin of your card. They expect customers to be ready and subsequently quick with their payments so as to be able to save time for everyone.
