2018 NCAA Football – Week 12 Betting Picks Against Spread

I finished 12-12-1 against the spread (again) last week. I’m over .500 on the year, but I’ve had a ton of even stevens weeks this year.

There are some big rivalry games on the schedule this week. Rivalry games can sometimes be difficult to handicap. The teams come in extra motivated and sometimes players have their own personal motivation (i.e. not getting a scholarship offer, growing up with a hatred of rival). There are just factors you can’t throw into a calculator and use in your decision-making process.

We at ‘America’s White Boy’ pick 25 college football games against the spread in Week 12 of the 2018-19 NCAA Football season (November, 17th, 2018). We also pick some smaller conference games.

2018 NFL Week 11 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 8-3-1 against the spread last week. I’ve went 18-6-1 over the last two weeks. This makes up for hovering around .500 in the first-half of the year.

I started the year off pretty bland, but I’m getting a better feel for the teams now. I just had to adjust my rankings a bit. Also, the half-point losses were a killer early this season. I’ve been on the right side of those the last month.

There are a few marquee games that could decide divisions (Minnesota at Chicago) and one that could be a Super Bowl preview (Kansas City at L.A. Rams).

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 11 of the 2018 NFL season.

2018 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 11

There are six teams on bye this week. Buffalo, Cleveland, Miami, New England, New York (Jets) and San Francisco are all off.

You could be in need of replacements for a fantasy stud like QB Tom Brady. The rest of the teams on bye don’t have many must-start guys and are mostly guys that fill up your flex spots week-to-week.

Most leagues have their trade deadline this week or next. If you’re in a dynasty league, it’s time to pull the trigger on some trades if you’re clearly out of the playoff picture.

Here is our Fantasy Football Sit/Start for Week 11 of the 2018 NFL season…and enjoy our awesome MS Paint masterpiece of Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky.

Vaping and Athletes

If you are a competitive athlete, you probably know that smoking is a major inhibitor to your performance. In fact, if you are at top performance, you are well aware on having any major bad habits can really hurt. Vaping does not pose quite the harmful affects that smoking can, but there are still some risks. If you are an athlete, the bottom line is that you may want to avoid it all together. Here are some facts to consider.

The act of vaping itself is not the reason to avoid it, it is the nicotine. Nicotine has been proven to constrict the blood vessels with regular use. This means that any form of cardio will be harder. If you are in a high activity sport or long distant running, vaping will prove to have a long-term effect of slowing you down. As of now, there are no long-term studies that show any definitive proof for vaping on the lungs. The vapor itself may be potentially harmless.

2018-19 College Basketball – All-Name Team

There’s always a lot of turnover on the College Basketball All-Name Team. Many good names only appear on the list for one year and then they either fail out of school or enter the NBA Draft. There are a few names on this year’s list that will no doubt be a one-and-done entrant.

We picked through every Division-I college basketball roster and a few smaller schools for our list. This year’s class is solid and right up there with last year’s All-Name Team.

My name is Bobby Roberts, so I am often jealous of people with unique names. The most unique thing about my name is that I was not born ‘Robert Roberts’, Bobby is my given name. I don’t know too many grown men named Bobby.

This list consists of names that we wished he had and ones we find humorous. Enjoy!

2018 NCAA Football – Week 11 Betting Picks Against Spread

I finished 15-9-1 against the spread last week.

The college football playoff picture is more in focus after some big games last week. Georgia is basically on their way to the SEC Championship game after beating Kentucky. Also, Alabama made a huge statement in their shutout win against LSU.

There are some big Big Ten games this week with both Penn State and Ohio State having big games that could alter the conference title game picture.

We at ‘America’s White Boy’ pick 25 college football games against the spread in Week 11 of the 2018-19 NCAA Football season (November, 10th, 2018). We also pick some smaller conference games.

2018 NFL Week 10 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 10-3 against the spread last week.

I started the year off pretty bland, but I’m getting a better feel for the teams now. I just had to adjust my rankings a bit. Also, the half-point losses were a killer early this season. I’ve been on the right side of those the last three weeks.

Which teams are tanking for a draft pick? The Raiders, Browns, Giants and Bills are making a run to the bottom of the league. You could make a case that all but one of those teams are in the market for a talented young quarterback.

Should tanking affect your betting strategy? Yes, but it’s a little too early to hold that against most teams…but the Raiders are definitely tanking right now.

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 10 of the 2018 NFL season.

2018 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 10

There are four teams on bye this week. The Broncos, Vikings, Ravens and the Texans are all off.

You could be in need of replacements for fantasy studs like QB Kirk Cousins, WR DeAndre Hopkins or WR Adam Thielen.

Now that many of your players have dealt with bye weeks, it’s time to look at your roster and trim the fat. There may not be a need to carry two tight ends anymore. You can build your roster towards the fantasy playoffs.

When is your league trade deadline? If it hasn’t passed, you could look to improve your team through late-season trades.

How a Little Sports Talk Can Help You Get Ahead at Work

When you have a love of sports, it can take over your life in a couple of ways. Trying to do anything but watching the Superbowl on Superbowl Sunday is pretty much not going to happen, and forget about scheduling a vacation when the world series is on. But did you know that a love of sports can actually help to give your career a boost?

Not only will it help you to bond with people that you wouldn’t normally associate with, but it can help in a number of job situations too. So although doing an online MBA will always be a good thing for your career, here are just a few of the reasons why being a sports fan can actually be a good thing and how it can help you to be better at what you do (proof for all of the haters that all of that TV time is justified).

2018 NCAA Football – Week 10 Betting Picks Against Spread

I finished 12-12-1 against the spread last week.

After this weekend, there should be a pretty clear picture of what the College Football Playoff may look like at the end of the year.

There are some de facto CFP elimination games this week. Alabama vs LSU is the biggest of them all. I am interested in seeing two of the current top-four CFP ranked teams face-off.

Also, the Georgia game versus Kentucky has playoff implications as well. The winner will most likely win their division in the SEC and play in the conference championship game.

We at ‘America’s White Boy’ pick 25 college football games against the spread in Week 10 of the 2018-19 NCAA Football season (November, 3rd, 2018). We also pick some smaller conference games.

2018 NFL Week 9 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 7-7 against the spread last week.

I went .500 with my NFL and college football picks last week. I didn’t have a huge string of wins, it was just win, loss, win, loss, all weekend long.

The trade deadline is now behind us. There were some notable trades, but the big names like Pittsburgh RB Le’Veon Bell didn’t get moved.

It’s clear that there are a handful of teams that have officially packed it in for the year. It’s easy to just write them off, but remember, there are 53 players on every team looking to improve their stock and keep their jobs next season. Just because a general manager wants a top draft pick next season doesn’t mean that team will lose every game left on the schedule.

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 9 of the 2018 NFL season.

2018 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 9

A few solid fantasy contributors were traded this week. Will any make a big impact in their first week with their new team?

There are a whopping six teams on bye this week. The Bengals, Colts, Giants, Eagles, Cardinals and Jaguars are all on vacation.

You could be in need of replacements for fantasy studs like QB Carson Wentz, WR A.J. Green, RB Saquon Barkley and QB Andrew Luck.

Here is our Fantasy Football Sit/Start for Week 9 of the 2018 NFL season…and enjoy our awesome MS Paint masterpiece of Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton
