2021 NFL Week 7 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 8-6 against the spread in Week 6.

I had a rough start with my noon game picks, but was perfect in the afternoon slate of games. I want to thank the Cowboys for scoring a touchdown in overtime instead of just trying to get a field goal.

There are only 13 games on the schedule due to six teams being out on bye.

There are three games with double-digit point spreads. Will any of the favorites cover the large spreads?

I went 11-5 against the spread in Week 3.

It’s clear that the Carolina Panthers, Denver Broncos and Las Vegas Raiders were the three most underrated teams going into this season. It could be time to jump off their bandwagons as the betting lines are starting to reflect respect for their early season performances

2021 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 3

How is your team holding up so far this year?

If your quarterback struggles early in the season, how soon can you press the panic button?

It’s clearly a case-by-case basis, but it could be time to move on from Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa or Colts QB Carson Wentz. Tua is now banged up and Wentz’s chances of a bounce-back year is slipping now with a pair of injured ankles.

A few quarterbacks suffered some major injuries last week. Some will miss time, but most will play, albeit hobbled.

2020 NFL Week 17 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 8-8 against the spread last week.

I would have been above .500 last week, but Washington decided to hold off QB Alex Smith for another week. I wouldn’t have laid a single penny on Dwayne Haskins if I had known he was getting the start last week.

There are a lot of different potential playoff scenarios this week. I tried to mention every single option to give you an idea which teams have something left to play for in Week 17.

2020 NFL Week 16 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 9-6-1 against the spread last week.

I’ve been strong the last few weeks and made up for some average weeks to start the season.

It’s time to start looking up certain playoff scenarios and if a team has any motivation to rest their starters. I don’t see of that this week since there is only one first-round bye in this year’s playoffs, and neither has been clinched in either conference.

2020 NFL Week 15 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 11-5 against the spread last week.

I was actually 8-1 against the spread at one point, but the late games on Sunday afternoon/evening made the record a little less remarkable. I’m still happy with the overall outcome. I also benefitted from the late safety in the Ravens/Browns game.

There are a handful of double-digit point spreads this week. We have been able to avoid a lot of those this year, but December is always filled with some lopsided point spreads, so it is expected at this point.

2020 NFL Week 14 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 10-5 against the spread last week.

Thursday night games are back this week. I enjoyed not having one last week and actually found to prefer Tuesday night games instead.

The Steelers were the last undefeated team to fall. They lost to Washington and have another tough game this week when they travel to Buffalo.

There are a few games this week that will be the second meetings between division rivals. I try not to take a ton of information from those games as teams make adjustments and it’s difficult to beat a division foe twice in a year. I also don’t follow that advice for at least one of my picks this week.

2020 NFL Week 13 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 10-5-1 against the spread last week. I was able to notch another ‘Perfect Thanksgiving’ on my belt (even if one of the games were pushed back nearly an entire week).

I was able to bounce-back from my first subpar week of the season. I made my picks earlier last week and I was lucky as all the disastrous COVID stuff didn’t mess with my picks.

There was some reshuffling with the schedule this week due to all the positive COVID tests. We have no Thursday night game, but we have two Monday night games and an extra Tuesday night game on the schedule.

2020 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 9

The U.S. elections are taking place and it might be easy to forget to set your lineup this week, especially if some of these races creep into Thursday.

The teams off this week are the Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Bengals, Los Angeles Rams and Philadelphia Eagles.

You could be needing to replace some important pieces on your fantasy team with QB Baker Mayfield, QB Joe Burrow and the Los Angeles Rams defense on bye.

2020 NFL Week 8 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 7-7 against the spread last week.

There were a ton of games that came down to the final play of the game to ruin covers. The last-second Lions win and a late missed extra-point in the Browns/Bengals game ruined a lot of bets.

There currently aren’t any games in jeopardy due to COVID-19 positive tests right now. It’s only Wednesday, so things could change since positivity rates have increased all around the country.

It doesn’t look like we are in line for any COVID cancellations, but it is only mid-week. We have 14 games on the schedule with four teams on bye.

The teams off this week are the Houston Texans, Arizona Cardinals, Jacksonville Jaguars and Washington Football Team.

You could be needing to replace some important pieces on your fantasy team with Cardinals QB Kyler Murray & WR DeAndre Hopkins and Texans QB Deshaun Watson on bye.

2020 NFL Week 4 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 9-6 against the spread last week.

This will be the last week with a full slate of sixteen games (unless there’s a COVID-19 cancellation) for a couple months.

We are starting to get a good feel for which teams are playoff-caliber and which ones are in for a long season. The point spreads are a little tighter this week. It could be time to jump off the bandwagon if point spreads start to creep into the double-digits.
