2013 NFL Week 16 – Betting Picks Against Spread

Funny Matt SchaubSorry about this week’s NFL picks article being postedlate, but I think I ate a bad McRib this week. I know there is really no such thing as a ‘bad McRib’, but I think one found my stomach. I’m fighting through it, so this week’s NFL picks against the spread is short and sweet.

I have a 116-80-10 record against the spread so far this season.

There are five games with double-digit point spreads and 80% of the games are garbage. It’s not a great week to watch NFL games.

In December, weather reports become more important than ever. Those must be looked at before you make a decision. It is also important to look at division records.

Can all five teams cover double-digit point spreads this weekend? Nope.

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 16 of the NFL season.

2013 NFL Week 15 – Betting Picks Against Spread

Calvin Johnson Snow Detroit Lions NFLI had a good week. I had some really nice hits on the marquee games and only had a few stumbles (NY Jets/Oakland). I now have a 107-74-10 record against the spread so far this season.

It’s a pretty poor slate of games this week. Many games pair two under-performing teams against each other. Last week could possibly be our final week with a full slate of competitive NFL football games. Teams will start benching players in favor of keeping them healthy and a few more teams could further quit on their coaches. There are a few games (Packers/Cowboys & Bears/Browns) that the line could drastically change mid-week depending on the health of their starting quarterbacks. Make sure to keep an eye on the NFL lines at Topbet.eu, which have up-to-date point spreads.

In December, weather reports become more important than ever. Those must be looked at before you make a decision. It is also important to look at division records. If one of the teams in a game has nothing left to play for, it could sway your decision in the right direction.

2013 NFL Week 7 – Betting Picks Against Spread

Peyton-Manning-Andrew-LuckNeed betting advice for the NFL games this weekend? We pick every game against the spread in Week 7 of the NFL season.

Say goodbye to any value in the points spreads. The value is now in the decent teams with a bad record (Atlanta, NY Giants, Pittsburgh). Those plays are risky, but they’ll payoff this week. Keep those teams in mind in the coming weeks. You could hit on a few home underdog moneyline plays.

2013 NFL Week 5 – Betting Picks Against Spread

Peyton-Eli-ManningNeed betting advice for the NFL games this weekend? We pick every game against the spread in Week 5 of the NFL season.

Now that fantasy baseball season ended (I won four out of the five leagues), I’m waist-deep in fantasy football and college & pro football point spreads…I can’t complain. It’s better than writing about June baseball games.

I had some nice wins last week, but missed on the Browns and Redskins.

2013 NFL – Week 3 Betting Picks Against Spread

Football Betting Cash Against Spread PicksNeeded betting advice before the Thursday night’s NFL game? Sorry about that.

My life is seriously fantasy football, college football betting lines and doing research for NBA team previews. I watch the NFL while I do all those things, so my plate is a little full, which explains why I’m posting the NFL betting picks against the spread post on Friday.

I had some nice wins last week, but missed on the Dolphins and Jets.

Can Seattle cover a 19-point spread against Jacksonville on Sunday? It’s one of the largest NFL point spreads in recent memory.

10 Videos of Skip Bayless Being a “Douchebag” [Updated]

Skip Bayless Douchebag Lebron JamesLast year, I posted a collection of ten videos of Skip Bayless either being a gasbag or getting called out for being a comment troll. During the transition from Blogger to WordPress, the videos were lost in the process. It gives me a chance to update the post.

It was great timing since Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman hit Skip Bayless with a verbal piledriver this week on ESPN ‘First Take. Sherman went from speaking facts on why he’s better than Darelle Revis to attacking Bayless personally. I have a feeling many professional athletes around the country are giving Sherman a standing ovation.

Here is an updated list of ten videos of Skip Bayless being a total douchebag. Continue reading

Congratulations, Baltimore!

The Baltimore Ravens are Super Bowl champions. They defeated the San Francisco 49ers 34-31 in Super Bowl XLVII. Joe Flacco was voted the Super Bowl MVP, with wide receivers Anquan Boldin and Jacoby Jones making a case to also win the award.

Ray Lewis is going out a winner…his craziness will be missed.

We are also champions here at America’s White Boy. We help out over at Project Shanks and we predicted before the season started, that the Ravens would win the Super Bowl. Here’s the proof…

2012 NFL Team Preview: Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens were one scoreboard operator error away from making the Super Bowl last season. If you think they have a chip on their shoulder this season, that is an understatement.

Baltimore is a favorite to win the AFC, but out of all the contenders, they are getting the least amount of media attention. Their biggest news this off-season was Ray Rice signing a new contract.

They do have a few injury issues that will hurt them this season. Terrell Suggs is due to miss most of the season because of an Achilles injury. Can they pressure the quarterback enough for their defense to be effective?

It’s a ‘put up or shut up’ year for Joe Flacco. Is this the year he surpasses 4,000 passing yards and 30 touchdowns?

Here’s our 2012 NFL team preview for the Baltimore Ravens.

2011 Win/Loss Record: 12-4

Key Additions: WR Jacoby Jones, OG Bobbie Williams, QB Curtis Painter, DE Courtney Upshaw, WR Tommy Streeter, S Sean Considine, CB Corey Graham, DT Ryan McBean, OG Tony Wragge, OG Kelechi Osemele and RB Bernard Pierce.

Key Losses: WR Derrick Mason, CB Dominique Foxworth, S Tom Zbikowski, DT Cory Redding, DT Brandon McKinney, S Haruki Nakamura, LB Jarret Johnson, OG Ben Grubbs and LB Jameel McClain.

Non-Division Schedule: AFC West and NFC East

Fantasy SleeperWR Tommy Streeter – After after the NFL Draft, I had Jacoby Jones listed as the Ravens’ fantasy sleeper as Jacoby Jones. Well, the Ravens have been vocal about their fear of Jones’ hands and his past fumbling issues. Streeter’s mentor is Ray Lewis and writers have taken notice of his abilities. He’s 6’5 and ran a 4.40 40-time, so he has the skills to be a deep threat. They currently have Torrey Smith in that role, but Streeter is a nice hand-cuff in a deep league.

Team Analysis: You look at who the Ravens added and who they’ve lost, they seem to have improved their team by making it younger. Smith, Streeter, and Jones will fill-in for the retired Mason, even though Flacco still needs a dependable possession receiver. Boldin will play that role, but will often be the target of double coverage. Ray Rice is due to have another amazing fantasy and real-life season. They will have to rely on Pernell McPhee and rookie Upshaw to replace Suggs for most of the season. That could be a problem, but their defense is good enough that Haloti Ngata and Lewis will help with the pass rush. I am really, really looking for Week 3, when they play the New England Patriots at home…that will be an amazing game!

2012 Wins Over/Under Line: 10 (Prediction: OVER)

2012 Projected Win/Loss Record: 12-4
