2023 NFL Week 7 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 8-7 against the spread in Week 6.

I just can’t shake my streak of mediocrity. I’ve been stagnant at .500-ish for awhile now and I need a big week.

Last week, there were a couple huge underdogs that won against the spread. Double-digit point spreads are notoriously difficult to cover, but one of those underdogs won outright (Browns), and another was damn close (Giants).

I don’t want to spoil my picks this week, but I’ve went heavy on the points. I feel like there is money to be made on the underdogs this week. I would even suggest betting the moneyline on a few ‘dogs this weekend.

2023 NFL Week 6 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 7-7 against the spread in Week 5.

I’ve been hovering around .500 for the last two weeks. I’m still trying to get a feel for a few teams and the recent injuries aren’t helping me.

We have some stars that won’t be playing for awhile. Vikings WR Justin Jefferson and Colts rookie QB Anthony Richardson both landed on injured-reserve this week. The Vikings are still in decent shape at receiver, but his loss will still hurt. The Colts have one of the best backup QBs in the league and I expect the Colts to stay afloat with QB Gardner Minshew and the returning RB Jonathan Taylor.

2023 NFL Week 4 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 11-5 against the spread in Week 3.

I finally recorrected and was able to put together a positive week. I think we are finally starting to figure out which teams were overrated to start the year.

This could be my last ‘bare bones’ NFL article going forward. The break was very positive for my overall health and just adjusting to the loss of my longtime pet, and adding a new one to my life, has went well so far.

There are a lot of question marks at quarterback right now. Will the three rookie starting quarterbacks struggle early in their careers? Can Patriots QB Mac Jones do enough early in the year to keep Coach Belichick happy?

Will any Detroit Lions shine in their opener against the Chiefs?

2022 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 16

We only have a few more weeks left of the season.

I’m thinking about ending my fantasy picks after next week. Week 18 is such an unpredictable week due to playoff scenarios and teams resting their starters. It’s just a crap shoot and you’re probably not looking for waiver wire pickups in the final week of the regular season.

We are starting to find some new fantasy football waiver wire targets who are on very bad teams. I would suggest looking at players like Texans WR Chris Moore.

2022 NFL Week 13 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 9-7 against the spread last week.

Another week, another near-.500 week for ole’ Sweetbob. I need to snap this streak and hopefully it will happen this weekend.

It was nice to not have a load of games on Thursday again. I really had to slam through all of my weekly content on Tuesday. I like to take my time on the picks, but it couldn’t happen during a Thanksgiving week.

I had a late start to this week’s content as I went to an All Elite Wrestling signing on Tuesday in Indianapolis. It was cool to meet my very nice, very evil hero Danhausen.

Can the Cowboys cover a double-digit point spread against the Colts?

2022 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 12

We finally don’t have to deal with any byes this week. You shouldn’t have to deal with holes in your lineup, unless you have a recently-injured player like TE Kyle Pitts or WR Wan’Dale Robinson.

You will have an awkward issue of having three games on Thursday. There are some injury question marks that play on Sunday, so should you roll the dice or play it safe by playing your backup that plays on Thanksgiving?

Now that the Niners offense is healthy, is QB Jimmy Garoppolo a must-start going forward?

Should you sit Packers QB Aaron Rodgers against the Eagles?

2022 NFL Week 10 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 3-8-2 against the spread last week. It was by far my worst betting week in many years.

It was a brutal outcome after being on a three-week tear. You just have to shake it off, figure out what you missed and don’t let it happen again.

We don’t have a London game this week, but we have one in freaking Germany! I don’t know how I missed this when it was announced months ago. I had no clue they were expanding their normal England games and including various countries across the European Union.

Can the Packers pull off the upset against the Cowboys?

2022 NFL Week 9 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 10-5 against the spread last week.

I had a shot at an eleven-win week again, but the Bengals failed to show up against the Browns.

After this week, I feel like we will have a better idea which teams are contenders and which teams just benefited from an easier early season schedule. The Bills/Jets and Titans/Chiefs games are two examples of those contests.

There are three double-digit point spreads this week. Will any of them cover?

Can the Packers turn their season around with a cover in Detroit?

2022 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 9

There are a whopping six teams out on bye this week.

The Cleveland Browns, Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos, New York Giants, Pittsburgh Steelers and the San Francisco 49ers are all out.

You could still be in the market to replace a lot of flex-level fantasy players. There aren’t many studs on the bye teams this week, but your lineup could still be crippled.

How will the Jets offense fare against the Buffalo Bills?

2022 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 8

There are only two teams out on bye this week, but one of those teams is loaded with fantasy starters.

The Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers are off this week. It’s a nice change of pace after last week’s stacked bye week slate.

You could still be in trouble if you have guys like TE Travis Kelce or QB Patrick Mahomes, but you should be in the market for a few less streaming players this week.

Can Daniel Jones continue his nice streak of solid fantasy numbers?

The Detroit Lions, Tennessee Titans, Las Vegas Raiders and the Houston Texans all have the week off.

Those teams don’t have the best records, but they have some fantasy studs on their teams. You could be in a position to find a replacement for RB Derrick Henry, WR Davante Adams or TE T.J. Hockenson.

Is Seahawks QB Geno Smith a worthy streaming option against the Cardinals?
