#BodyGoals2018

If you’ve made a promise to yourself this year to get fit – congratulations! This is the first step to a better (and more importantly) healthier life. The thing is, it’s not just about introducing salads into your home, and running around the block once and again. Yes, you will probably lose a few pounds, but it won’t do much else. If you want one of those toned, sculpted bodies you see in fitness magazines, then you’re gonna have to put in the work.

You gotta change it up!

Cardio isn’t enough. Simple. All this will do is burn calories and fat, which is good, but just not enough. Girls, if you want one of those perfect peach butts – and guys, if you want those thighs of steel, then you’re going to have to introduce weight training. Also, don’t go to the gym every day and work the same thing – you gotta change it up! The reason being, if you only ever do one area, with the same exercises, your body will get used it. Yeah, the first week your body will be exhausted, but then it’ll soon adapt, and you won’t be pushed anymore. You’ll get comfortable, and your body will stop working as hard because it just becomes a habit. So when you’re planning your weekly workout routine, make sure it goes a little like this: Leg day and butt day. Chest and abs day. Shoulder and back day. Cardio day. Then a day off, also known as cheat day, (which is a requirement!)

2018 NFL Conference Championship Games – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 3-0-1 against the spread last week, but whiffed in my over/under picks. The last-second touchdown from Vikings WR Stefon Diggs helped me avoid a loss. I was really hoping they would kick the extra point, but they downed it instead, which lead to a push.

Weather ‘might’ be a factor since both Conference Championship games are being played outdoors. Keep a close eye on weather reports and make sure there isn’t a snowstorm or an arctic blast that pops up this weekend.

Should the Patriots really be a nine-point favorite against the Jaguars?

Can Case Keenum pull out another miracle and lead the Vikings to the Super Bowl?

We pick both NFL Conference Championship games against the spread.

The 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea will begin in early February. We want to make sure our readers are as informed as possible. We have logged in a couple hours scouting the female ‘talent’ who will compete in this year’s Winter Olympic games.

We wanted to make sure that we only list the female olympians you will see during the telecast on NBC. Every female athlete in this post (should) be there barring injury or failed trial attempt.

We have ladies who compete in snowboarding, curling, bobsledding, skiing and even hockey! Daniel Bryan Betting Odds Skyrocket to Win Royal Rumble

Daniel Bryan hasn’t been an active wrestler in the WWE since early 2015. He has been on the shelf since WWE’s doctor (Dr. Joseph Maroon) has medically disqualified him due to concussions. He has fought back with dozens of other doctors clearing him to wrestle, but WWE fears an NFL-level concussion lawsuit, is being cautious when dealing with concussions.

Bryan has been a character on WWE television the last 18 months or so, but he’s just a power figure as the Smackdown Live! General Manager. He is just marking time until his contract ends this September, since he has no guarantee he will wrestle for them again.

2018 NFL Divisional Round Playoff Games – Betting Picks Against Spread

I whiffed on my picks against the spread last week, but my over/under picks bailed me out (a little). I went 3-5 and I’m a bit punch drunk after all the underdog covers last week.

Weather ‘could’ become a factor in the Divisional Round NFL playoff games. Pittsburgh and New England forecasts could become important information as they are playing outdoors in those games.

Should the Eagles be an underdog at home?

Can the Jaguars keep things close in Pittsburgh in what could be snowy conditions?

We pick every NFL Divisional Round Playoff games against the spread.

Ever Thought About Running A Golf Course?

Owning any sort of sporting company can be a great investment – especially when people are still on a fitness hype. The amount of adults who have gotten into some type a sport has increased exponentially over the past few years, and there is always an influx of people signing up to new sporting activities after New Year. Golf isn’t really a high-energy sport, however, it is one that people can get really invested in, alone and with a group. Recreational sports have so many benefits for adults, and not just for the fitness side of things. It’s a great opportunity to meet people, for team building, and even for beating those post-holiday blues. For people who work in offices and up to desks all day, having a place to go to let off steam and relax is more than the best.

Why Recreational Sports are So Good for Adults

Most people, as children at least tried participating in various recreational sports for a while. Even if we did hang up our football helmets and tennis rackets when we discovered the opposite sex or developed other passions for less active things.

However, as adults, less and less of us are part of any softball, basketball or baseball team, perhaps because we feel we have too little time to commit to it on top of work and looking after kids or maybe because we’d rather stream the latest offering from Netflix instead or do our competing on the Xbox instead. This is probably not doing us very much good at all.

You see, there are numerous proven benefits to participating in recreational sports as an adult. Here are some of them:

How To Expand Your Love Of Sports

You love sports. Of course you do, what’s not to love? But maybe you want to add a little more variety to your interests. You might be an avid follower of football or baseball, but you yearn for a fresh thrill. Not to worry, below are three popular sports you can start following now and discussing at length on forums or with your friends.

Horse racing

This is a hugely popular sport to follow, and not just because you can make a decent amount of money betting on it. Going to the race is an event in itself, with many people dressing up in their best clothes and making a full day of it. Obviously, a huge part of the culture is “having a little flutter” on the races, and if that’s your thing, then companies like The Professional Syndicate can help you increase your chances of coming home with more than you left with. But all in all, it’s a great way to spend an afternoon. There’s nothing quite like being surrounded by hundreds or thousands of people who are all thoroughly enjoying themselves and are fully invested in the action.

2018 NFL Wild Card Playoff Games – Betting Picks Against Spread

I finished the year 136-105-15 against the spread during the NFL regular season.

Since there aren’t many games in the playoffs, I also pick over/under point totals as well.

A few of these Wild Card teams were big underdogs to even make the postseason. The Bills needed a near-miracle and found themselves in the playoffs for the first time since 1999. Buffalo fans are donating money to Bengals QB Andy Dalton’s charity to thank him for his last-second touchdown pass to knock the Ravens out of playoff contention.

Is Buffalo just happy to be in the playoffs or are they a real threat to knockoff Jacksonville?

We pick every NFL Wild Card Weekend game against the spread.

Possible Surprise Entrants in First-Ever Women’s Royal Rumble

WWE announced that for the first-time ever, the women will get their own Royal Rumble match at the 2018 ‘Royal Rumble.’

It was unknown how many women would appear in the Rumble at first. Most assumed they wouldn’t get the same amount of entrants as the men (30), but the early word is that they will get 30 spots in this year’s Rumble.

The WWE’s RAW & Smackdown Live brands don’t have anywhere near 30 women on those rosters, so there will be some surprise performers getting in the match. I assume NXT may get a couple spots. but this list will not try to guess those. There are plenty of young, talented ladies down there in NXT and those who aren’t signed, but appeared in the ‘Mae Young Classic’ last year, will end up in this match.

We made a list of some former WWE women superstars (or divas) that could appear as a surprise entrants in the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble…and the likelihood of their appearance.

Sweetbob’s Hipster Music Playlist: January 2018

Not a ton of music is released in December. Bands would most likely release their stuff in November or just wait until after the New Year to put out new music. It’s not a prime time for new music, since most people are just jamming to Mariah Carey’s Christmas album on repeat.

This month’s playlist took me longer to compile than most. I had to dig deep and found a few I overlooked the past two months. I found some gems and was worth the extra work.

I always keep an ear out for new music. I love discovering new bands/songs, it’s a habit from my days as a music journalist. Even though this is mostly a sports blog, I still add quite a bit of music and pop culture content. Keep sending me tracks via email or Twitter.

If you want to listen to songs that appeared on past playlists, you can listen to our playlist on Spotify or go here to view our past hipster playlists.

2017 NFL Week 17 – Betting Picks Against Spread

Week 16 was a rough one for us. We took a couple risks that didn’t pay off. I honestly thought the Browns would play much better against the Bears and that the Lions would show up to play against the lowly Bengals.

Week 17 is full of landmines since some last-minute changes could mean players end up resting and taking the week off. Keep track of possible playoff outcomes and what their head coaches are saying this week.

Every game this week is on Sunday, so this could be a rare time to completely waste your money and put a few jellybeans on a 16-team parlay…which would have odds somewhere in-between astronomical and impossible. I don’t recommend anyone ever do this unless it’s a gag and is only a few bucks.

We pick ever NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 17 of the 2017 NFL season.
