Betting Picks: 2021 NFL Over/Under Season Wins

The NFL added an extra game to their regular season schedule and teams will now play seventeen games. It makes the over/under win totals a little extra tricky.

These win total prop bets have been out there for months now, but I wanted to see the final 53-man rosters for every team before I made my picks.

This year’s strong rookie quarterback class made this offseason more interesting than most. It’s hard for a team to sit a first-round quarterback these days. The life-cycle of a front office is shorter than ever, so these general managers want to see their rookie QBs make them look smart.

Will the Rams or Lions benefit the most from their quarterback swap?

2020 NFL Week 17 – Betting Picks Against Spread

Mason Rudolph dottedI went 8-8 against the spread last week.

I would have been above .500 last week, but Washington decided to hold off QB Alex Smith for another week. I wouldn’t have laid a single penny on Dwayne Haskins if I had known he was getting the start last week.

There are a lot of different potential playoff scenarios this week. I tried to mention every single option to give you an idea which teams have something left to play for in Week 17.

Can the Steelers backups keep it close the Browns?

2020 NFL Week 16 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 9-6-1 against the spread last week.

I’ve been strong the last few weeks and made up for some average weeks to start the season.

It’s time to start looking up certain playoff scenarios and if a team has any motivation to rest their starters. I don’t see of that this week since there is only one first-round bye in this year’s playoffs, and neither has been clinched in either conference.

Can the Steelers stop their slide and cover against the Colts on Sunday?

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 16 of the 2020 NFL season.

2020 NFL Week 15 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 11-5 against the spread last week.

I was actually 8-1 against the spread at one point, but the late games on Sunday afternoon/evening made the record a little less remarkable. I’m still happy with the overall outcome. I also benefitted from the late safety in the Ravens/Browns game.

There are a handful of double-digit point spreads this week. We have been able to avoid a lot of those this year, but December is always filled with some lopsided point spreads, so it is expected at this point.

Can the Dolphins cover the spread at home against the Patriots?

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 15 of the 2020 NFL season.

2020 NFL Week 14 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 10-5 against the spread last week.

Thursday night games are back this week. I enjoyed not having one last week and actually found to prefer Tuesday night games instead.

The Steelers were the last undefeated team to fall. They lost to Washington and have another tough game this week when they travel to Buffalo.

There are a few games this week that will be the second meetings between division rivals. I try not to take a ton of information from those games as teams make adjustments and it’s difficult to beat a division foe twice in a year. I also don’t follow that advice for at least one of my picks this week.

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 14 of the 2020 NFL season.

2020 NFL Week 13 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 10-5-1 against the spread last week. I was able to notch another ‘Perfect Thanksgiving’ on my belt (even if one of the games were pushed back nearly an entire week).

I was able to bounce-back from my first subpar week of the season. I made my picks earlier last week and I was lucky as all the disastrous COVID stuff didn’t mess with my picks.

There was some reshuffling with the schedule this week due to all the positive COVID tests. We have no Thursday night game, but we have two Monday night games and an extra Tuesday night game on the schedule.

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 13 of the 2020 NFL season.

2020 NFL Week 12 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 6-8 against the spread last week.

This was my first week that I went under .500 this season. I had a rough stretch of afternoon games that really tanked my record for the week.

The Steelers/Ravens game was going to be the best game on Thanksgiving (by far), but due to Baltimore’s COVID-19 outbreak, it was moved to the early game schedule on Sunday.

Can I get another clean Thanksgiving sweep against the spread?

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 12 of the 2020 NFL season.

2020 NFL Week 11 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 7-4-3 against the spread last week.

There have been some COVID-19 activity this week. There have been a few teams that have transferred players to the COVID-19 reserve list. The Las Vegas Raiders could miss many key players on defense this week.

The marquee game this week is the Los Angeles Rams vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers game on Monday Night Football.

How will Tom Brady fare against the Rams stout defense?

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 11 of the 2020 NFL season.

2020 NFL Week 10 – Betting Picks Against Spread

Kirk Cousins dottedI went 8-6 against the spread last week.

It doesn’t appear that there are any games in jeopardy of being canceled due to COVID-19. There are handful of cases in the NFL, but they’ve been isolated so far. With daily cases increasing at an alarming rate, it wouldn’t surprise me if we see a few games canceled in the coming weeks.

One interesting game this week is a face-off of rookie quarterbacks when the Los Angeles Chargers travel to the Miami Dolphins.

Which rookie QB will leave with the win, Justin Herbert or Tua Tagovailoa?

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 10 of the 2020 NFL season.

2020 NFL Week 9 – Betting Picks Against Spread

daniel jones dottedI went 7-7 against the spread last week.

I was able to make a comeback last week after having a rough stretch in the early games, but nearly ran the table the rest of Sunday.

There are some COVID-19 issues on the Ravens right now, but they think it’s under control. They added seven to the COVID-19 reserve list. They haven’t had any positive tests since.

A few teams are dealing with quarterback injuries and we will see two new faces starting this week for the Cowboys and Jaguars.

How will Jaguars rookie QB Jake Luton fare against the Texans?

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 9 of the 2020 NFL season.

2020 NFL Week 8 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 7-7 against the spread last week.

There were a ton of games that came down to the final play of the game to ruin covers. The last-second Lions win and a late missed extra-point in the Browns/Bengals game ruined a lot of bets.

There currently aren’t any games in jeopardy due to COVID-19 positive tests right now. It’s only Wednesday, so things could change since positivity rates have increased all around the country.

Will the Steelers fare well against QB Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens?

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 8 of the 2020 NFL season.
