Raiders Blow Broncos Away Despite Tantrum from Coach

nfl-latavius-murray-oakland-raiders-denver-broncosThe Broncos were supposed to have the most dominant defense in the league; as such, it was a bit of a surprise when they lost so resoundingly to the Raiders. Of course, people care more about Donald Penn’s tantrum than they do the NFL odds and analysis of the game.

Yet, it was quite the impressive showdown; and you would have expected the Raiders to celebrate their pending success. But, with 7:09 on the clock, Penn’s tantrum manifested the creative differences swirling behind the scenes.

Penn lost his mind after Broncos safety T.J Ward gave his team new life and made a diving interception at the 30. This was after Bruce Irvin dislodged the ball from Trevor Siemian, and Khalil Mack recovered at Denver’s 39-yard line.

2016 NFL Week 9 – Betting Picks Against Spread

jay-ajayi-americas-white-boy-miami-dolphins-nfl-picksI went 7-5-1 last week after missing on some late games. I did hit on a couple nice moneylines, but really wish the Vikings looked better. They started out so hot, but they have now fell on their faces.

There are six teams on a bye week once again and there isn’t a game in London…so you can sleep in on Sunday!

We are starting to get some more division games this week, so there’s some historic information out there that can help you out. That info will be huge the last month of the season.

We pick ever NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 9 of the 2016 NFL season.

The Ideal Bets For The Upcoming NFL and College Games

1955_notre-dame_vs_navyWhen an individual decides to compose a book with the theme of the incredible runs of success in each and every sport and they highlight great sporting events, I would expect them to include an aspect of my latest run with regard to sports wagering. Such great sporting events are like the UCLA men’s basketball team winning 7 consecutive titles in the early ‘70s and late ‘60s, the Undertaker emerging the inner in his first twenty one WrestleMania’s or even the then Dolphins finishing 17- 0 in 1972. These are what can be used to effectively reference the NFL lines.

For those who failed to notice and have just purchased a new boat or car, they must have knowledge of my incredible run versus the spread in the last three weeks of 16-2. This is inclusive of my hard earned perfection of 6-0 in the past week.

2016 NFL Week 8 – Betting Picks Against Spread

Joey-Bosa-Week-8-2016-NFL-betting-picks-against-the-spread-americas-white-boyI went 7-8 last week after whiffing on some road favorites. I definitely underestimated San Diego and Green Bay, but felt solid about the rest of my picks.

There are six teams on a bye week this week and an early game in London. There could be some weak football watching on Sunday if we are stuck with some blow outs.

Fall weather is in full force in the NFL, but I don’t think the weather will interfere in many games. Rain is expected across the Midwest, but I don’t see it affecting any bets.

We pick ever NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 8 of the 2016 NFL season.

2016 NFL Week 7 – Betting Picks Against Spread

odell-beckham-jr-net-proposal-americas-white-boy-nfl-picks-against-the-spread-week-7-2016I finished strong last week and ended with a 8-5-2 record. I have went 20-6-3 the last two weeks, which made up for my .500 percentage after the first couple weeks of the NFL season.

I don’t feel like there are as many ‘landmines’ or sucker bets in this week’s lines. Last week was a rough week and took a lot of research and scouring injury reports.

I did about the same amount of work this week and ended up falling in love with a lot of road teams.

2016 NFL Week 6 – Betting Picks Against Spread

andrew-luck-sacked-indianapolis-colts-chicago-bears-americas-white-boy-week-6-picks-against-the-spread-nflI ‘sacked’ Vegas last week and finished with a 12-1-1 record. It was my best finish of the year and hope to carry the momentum forward. I also hit on two nice moneylines last week. I would have had a blemish-free week if it wasn’t for the Eagles.

There are a few weird lines this weekend. Those questionable lines surround average teams being favored by six points or greater. It’s just odd seeing these kinds of odds this early in this year. A few lines appear more like Week 17 lines.

Omameh Most Likely to Replace Joeckel as Left Guard for Jaguars

usatsi_9422589_1476298874438_6488262_ver1-0Although the departure of Luke Joeckel has indeed left a big void, it seems that the Jaguars are gearing up to replace their left guard, and may have already found the right candidate.

As the Jaguars are getting ready to face the Chicago Bears in their upcoming match, it seems that veteran lineman Patrick Omameh is going to be next man up for Jacksonville – something that has sent made certain bookies with their NFL betting lines very happy. Having served as the swing tackle for the team through the first four games, it was perhaps the hard work that he did in relief of Joeckel that earned him the opportunity to be considered as the first candidate to replace Joeckel went the latter went down during the Jaguars’ Week 4 win over the Indianapolis Colts. Omameh held his ground in London and protected quarterback Blake Bortles down the stretch.

Sports Crush: Kay Adams

kay-adams-cute-good-morning-football-nfl-network-pretty-legs-fantasy-zone-brunette-headshotKay Adams is one of the hosts of ‘Good Morning Football” on NFL Network and also a co-host of ‘Fantasy Zone’ on DirecTV, a companion of the NFL Sunday Ticket package.

We were once ‘kind of’ co-workers at one time. She worked at the Fanball office in St. Louis doing video work and I was a freelance writer for them covering the Columbus Blue Jackets and Indiana Pacers on their team pages.

She’s cute as a button and if you have ever seen her on television, you know she’s a fun gal.

We have featured many other sports reporters/anchors in the past like Erin Coscarelli, Jen Hale, Britt McHenry and Jenny Dell.

See why we are crushing on Kay Adams

2016 NFL Week 5 – Betting Picks Against Spread

nfl-week-5-picks-against-the-spread-americas-white-boy-gambling-odell-beckham-new-york-giantsI finished with a 9-6 record on the week and hit on a couple sweet moneylines, so I’m a happy man.

A quarter of the season is in the books and there’s two teams that have no business being over .500 (Ravens and Rams). I don’t think either will fare well this weekend.

I’ve been hovering around .500 this year and I currently sit at 30-30-3 on the season. I hope to widen the gap between wins and losses. I feel pretty good about this week’s picks.

Is It Time for Colin Kaepernick?

colin-kaepernick-1-1200x900The oh so strange and topsy turvy season of 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick may be set to take another turn. Just this week a survey of NFL fans, as reported by Forbes, says that fully 1/3 are less likely to watch the NFL on television because of the national anthem protests that are being led by Kaepernick. The once unassailable television ratings juggernaut that is the NFL has seen an unprecedented drop this season, and at least according to these numbers, their kryptonite is the action spurred on by a single backup quarterback. Although it is also worth noting that Kaepernick’s #7 49ers jersey began the season as the NFL’s top seller, although we can’t be sure that if that’s in support of Kaepernick, or to burn his jersey in effigy.

2016 NFL Week 4 – Betting Picks Against Spread

funny-ryan-fitzpatrick-poofy-hair-americas-white-boy-picks-against-the-spread-week-4-nfl-new-york-jets-beardI finished with a 8-8 record on the week after laying some stinker bets on the late games on Sunday.

I think it’s now time to start looking at win/loss records. Make sure you look at the opponents because there are at least one weak 3-0 team out there (Ravens).

I’ve been treading water so far this season. I’ve been hovering around .500 every week, but have fell victim to some bad beats and half-point losses. I still feel like I have a good grasp of these teams right now and I’ll start hitting some big weeks soon.

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 4 of the 2016 NFL season.

2016 NFL Week 3 – Betting Picks Against Spread

jay-cutler-catI started off great last week, but the late games destroyed me. I finished with a 7-8-1 record on the week. I really like this week’s lines, so I hope for a better week.

I think you must take records with a grain of salt right now. There are a lot of quality 0-2 teams that play winnable games this week. Also, there are a couple 2-0 teams that have kind of lucked into an undefeated record. Records will start coming into play more after the first four games.

Week 3 is always a litmus test for many teams, especially if you currently sit at 1-1 or even 0-2. You don’t want to fall below .500 or end up winless after three games.

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 3 of the 2016 NFL season.
