2015 NFL Week 11 – Betting Picks Against Spread

A lot of change is happening this week. There are a lot of new faces starting at quarterback, so betting lines have been quite fluid this week.

I went 8-5 last week against the spread. I bounced back from a rough outing and hit on some nice moneylines. The underdogs put me well ahead for the week. I did miss on my Giants moneyline play, but I felt good that it nearly paid out.

New England appears to be as vulnerable as ever with the loss of wide receiver Julian Edelman. Can Buffalo end their bid for a perfect season?

2015 NCAA Football – Week 11 Betting Picks Against Spread

A few undefeated teams fell last week. Memphis, Michigan State, LSU and TCU all possibly had their championship hopes go down the tubes. The way Michigan State fell had to sting the worst. The referee should have threw a flag for illegal touching.

Clemson, Alabama, Ohio State and Notre Dame are currently sit at the top of the College Football Playoff rankings. They technically control their own destiny, but you never know what kind of response the committee will have going forward.

Teams are now trying to become bowl-eligible. It seems like crazy things happen when a team has five wins and needing six.

2015 NFL Week 10 – Betting Picks Against Spread

Vegas really cleaned up last week. Some analysts say as much as 80% of the money last week was on Atlanta, Denver and Pittsburgh. All three of those teams lost against the spread.

I went 5-8 last week against the spread. It was my first week this season that I was under .500 picking NFL games against the spread. Who the hell thought Blaine Gabbert would win an NFL game as a starting quarterback?

Can the New York Giants play the role of the party pooper once again and end New England’s perfect season?

2015 NCAA Football – Week 10 Betting Picks Against Spread

The college football season has been pretty great so far. There are plenty of undefeated teams still left, but that will likely change very soon. Teams will start cannibalizing each other, especially in conference championship games.

The first College Football Playoff poll was announced last weekend. There were some surprises, especially with Clemson getting the #1 spot. I’ve been high on them lately, but it was still quite the surprise.

Rivalry games have started across college football. There are some games this weekend that have fanbases foaming at the mouth.

2015 NFL Week 9 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I started out missing last week’s Thursday game, but then didn’t miss on a single early Sunday game. I actually came out on the right side of a half-point outcome.

I went 9-3-1 against the spread last week. I even hit on underdog moneylines with Oakland and Cincinnati. They weren’t huge payouts, but it was icing on a strong week of picks.

Sunday afternoon may end up being Peyton Manning’s last game in Indianapolis. Will he cover?

So, I’ve been dealing with a bout of ‘get these f***ing kidney stones out of me’ pain the last few days. I have been unable to sit down and do my write up until this evening, but I’ve been studying matchups and trends all week.

I needed to cut this week’s post down quite a bit, since I can’t stomach sitting up in a chair for a long time. I still picked 20 games against the spread, but the format is just the ‘Quick Picks’ that I usually save for the end of my weekly column.

2015 NFL Week 8 – Betting Picks Against Spread

The Lions fired a ton of their offensive coaching staff and promoted a guy named Jim Bob Cooter to run the offense. He has the best name in the NFL and possibly the entire world. We wish him the best of luck…he will need it.

I went 7-6 against the spread last week. I hit on an underdog moneyline with Oakland to come out positive on the week.

2015 NCAA Football – Week 8 Betting Picks Against Spread

It finally feels like football weather outside here in Indiana. It’s the exact moment when you get the sudden urge to eat something with pumpkin spice.

Let’s take a moment to discuss the Michigan punter’s error or terror. The look on his face is the perfect reflection of how he feels inside. It was a devastating loss and will go down as one of the most improbable ways to lose a game.

There are some nice matchups this weekend, but it’s the usual lull before the rivalry games kick in the next few weeks.

2015 NFL Week 7 – Betting Picks Against Spread

As a Colts fan, I was utterly embarrassed by the ‘snapfu’ fake punt they tried to convert against the Patriots on Sunday night. I’m beginning to think it wouldn’t be a bad idea if the Colts let head coach Chuck Pagano walk after this season.

I went 7-6-1 against the spread last week. I hit on a couple underdog moneylines and the Colts backdoor cover helped me out a bit.

It’s getting close to the time in which weather becomes a factor. It doesn’t appear that it will affect the games this weekend, but it will become an issue soon.

2015 NCAA Football – Week 7 Betting Picks Against Spread

It’s my birthday weekend! I hope the gambling gods will be kind to me on Saturday.

I went 12-8 last week. I missed on Oklahoma, but nearly ran the table on my ‘Quick Hits’ last week. The SEC hasn’t been kind to me so far. The MAC and Big Ten has made up for it though.

The weather isn’t expected to be a huge issue this weekend. The Midwest is due for regular seasonal weather. It will be nippy, but it looks clear.

2015 NFL Week 6 – Betting Picks Against Spread

Patriots and Colts fans have had this weekend’s upcoming game circled since the schedule was announced. The Patriots have dominated teams so far and the Colts just hope to get their quarterback on the field.

I went 7-6-1 last week against the spread. I felt pretty good about the outcome. I missed a few early games, but rebounded with the late games. I had two underdog moneyline plays that paid out.

A few players are returning from injuries this week and it doesn’t appear that the weather will play a huge factor this weekend. All eyes are on Andrew Luck since the Colts haven’t made it clear if he will start on Sunday night.

How Did We Do?: 2015 MLB Team Win Over/Under

It’s time to pop the champagne, guys!

Before the season began, we wrote a team preview for each MLB team. We broke down all the new players, former players, possible fantasy sleepers and (most importantly) picked an over/under win total.

We’ve always done really well with our MLB Over/Unders in the past and we kicked ass in 2015.

We went 18-11-1 on the year. We hit on all the sleepers, but missed horribly on the Houston Astros (we thought they were still a year away). Vegas definitely cleaned house on the Angels and Nationals. I don’t know many who picked their under win totals.
