2018 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 2

How well did you do in Week 1?

Did any of your sleeper picks turn into gold?

There were some breakout performances by players who had low ownership numbers in Week 1. Some of those numbers occurred due to injuries, but some guys like Bucs WR Chris Godwin, Seahawks TE Will Dissly and Broncos RB Phillip Lindsay almost came out of nowhere.

I hope you took our advice last week and added Steelers RB James Conner and the Ravens defense. Both plays earned a lot of points.

2018 NFL Week 1 – Betting Picks Against Spread

Were you one of those guys who bet on NFL preseason games?

I get it. You were excited to wager on football again and just jumped the gun a little. It’s now time to bet on some games that count!

We had a pretty good year betting on NFL games last year. We went 144-115-16 and hit on a few underdog moneylines to come out in the black for the season.

There are a ton of new quarterbacks making their first starts for their new teams this weekend. Veteran quarterbacks like Kirk Cousins, Alex Smith and Sam Bradford hope to lead their new teams to successful seasons. Also, quarterbacks Andrew Luck, Deshaun Watson and Ryan Tannehill return from injuries. Which quarterback will make the biggest impact in Week 1?

It’s now time to see how well you did in your fantasy draft.

Will your sleeper pay off Week 1?

Was drafting a running back in the first round a mistake? 

A strong Week 1 is good, but you can bounce back from it. There’s a chance the waiver wire could be your friend before Week 2…because there will always be those Week 1 studs that will go from 5% ownership to 90% by the second game.

2017 NFL Week 15 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 10-6 last week, but thought I was going have an even better week. I thought I was well on my way to one of my upset moneyline picks paying off, but the Browns coughed up the game. I probably jinxed it since I was already counting my money…then saw the update during the Colts/Bills snowball fight. 

There are few too many double-digit point spreads this week. It’s common this time of the year, but was spoiled last week with a lot of competitive betting lines.

A couple teams have injury issues at quarterback and will need to rely on backups to keep them in the playoff race.

2017 NFL Week 13 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I had a perfect Thanksgiving last week. After struggling on Thursday games like it was my freakin’ job, I went 3 for 3 on Thanksgiving. I started out hot on Sunday as well, but finished the week with a 9-6-1.

The perfect Thanksgiving was a bit unexpected, but really needed. I should go back to see what my Thursday record is, but I’m almost afraid.

There are some pretty cool games coming up this weekend. A few division games that could be the difference in who wins their division.

Can the Giants find success with QB Geno Smith starting over Eli Manning?

2017 NFL Week 12 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I had a pretty sad all around betting experience last weekend. I was rocked in college football and was just so-so in the NFL. I hit on a nice parlay that saved the weekend.

I’ve historically done very well on Thanksgiving. I’ve went a perfect three-for-three in many years. I can’t promise that will happen this season as Thursday games are the bane of my existence. It’s becoming a gimmick at this point.

There are quite a few double-digit point spreads this week. We will see more and more of those as teams start to drop out of playoff contention.

2017 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 12

Yay! No more freakin’ bye weeks! A few of those weeks were rough, but we all hopefully survived.

Injuries are still happening at an alarming rate and the injuries to Washington RB Chris Thompson and even Miami QB Jay Cutler (in super deep leagues) can really mess with a roster. We hope to give you some streaming options for the week.

2017 NFL Week 11 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I managed to not take a loss last Thursday…because it was a push. I hate Thursday games and I’ve pulled out my hair watching those games. They are just poorly played and have been difficult to handicap.

I finished last week .500, but it’s time to have a big week. I feel pretty good about the lines this week. There’s only one double-digit point spread, which is pretty rare this late in the season.

There are fourteen games on the schedule for the last week. There will be sixteen games a week starting next weekend.

Can the Patriots (-6.5) cover on the West Coast?

2017 NFL Week 10 – Betting Picks Against Spread

Thursday night games will be the death of me. I hate them and they clearly hate me. I’m not being hyperbolic. I’ve been so bad picking that game against the spread. I’m afraid to go back and see what my Thursday night record is this year. I know I have at least two wins, but can’t remember if there are anymore than that.

There are fourteen games on the schedule this week and we will have a full sixteen game schedule in two weeks. 

There were only a couple double-digit point spreads this week. This is the time of year when we will see those more and more. We didn’t have any point spreads over two touchdowns.

Only two more weeks and we will no longer have to deal with byes! Hopefully your teams have already dealt with the worst shorthanded weeks of the season.

Baltimore, Kansas City, Philadelphia and Oakland are off this week. You will need to find replacements for studs like Chiefs RB Kareem Hunt and Eagles QB Carson Wentz

2017 NFL Week 7 – Betting Picks Against Spread

Your boy got roughed up a bit last week. I went 6-8 and a few games were pretty ugly. I was doing well this year, but I didn’t adjust a few of my rankings. It didn’t help that injuries to quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and Jameis Winston probably decided two of those games.

There are fifteen games on the schedule this week. The only two teams that are on bye are the Houston Texans and Detroit Lions

I may have had a down week, but I did accomplish something…I broke my Thursday Night Football streak of ineptitude. The Eagles bailed me out with their cover at Carolina.

Can the Falcons (+3.5) win in their Super Bowl rematch against the Patriots?
