2017 NFL Week 15 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 10-6 last week, but thought I was going have an even better week. I thought I was well on my way to one of my upset moneyline picks paying off, but the Browns coughed up the game. I probably jinxed it since I was already counting my money…then saw the update during the Colts/Bills snowball fight.

There are few too many double-digit point spreads this week. It’s common this time of the year, but was spoiled last week with a lot of competitive betting lines.

A couple teams have injury issues at quarterback and will need to rely on backups to keep them in the playoff race.

2017 NFL Week 13 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I had a perfect Thanksgiving last week. After struggling on Thursday games like it was my freakin’ job, I went 3 for 3 on Thanksgiving. I started out hot on Sunday as well, but finished the week with a 9-6-1.

The perfect Thanksgiving was a bit unexpected, but really needed. I should go back to see what my Thursday record is, but I’m almost afraid.

There are some pretty cool games coming up this weekend. A few division games that could be the difference in who wins their division.

2017 NFL Week 12 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I had a pretty sad all around betting experience last weekend. I was rocked in college football and was just so-so in the NFL. I hit on a nice parlay that saved the weekend.

I’ve historically done very well on Thanksgiving. I’ve went a perfect three-for-three in many years. I can’t promise that will happen this season as Thursday games are the bane of my existence. It’s becoming a gimmick at this point.

There are quite a few double-digit point spreads this week. We will see more and more of those as teams start to drop out of playoff contention.

2017 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 12

Yay! No more freakin’ bye weeks! A few of those weeks were rough, but we all hopefully survived.

Injuries are still happening at an alarming rate and the injuries to Washington RB Chris Thompson and even Miami QB Jay Cutler (in super deep leagues) can really mess with a roster. We hope to give you some streaming options for the week.

I want to explain what I mean by “sit” and “start.” Of course you are going to start some of the guys i say to bench this week, because you probably used high draft picks or a lot of money in an auction for them. My ‘sit’ players are guys I am just not completely sold that they will have good weeks. If you have a guy that you are on the fence about, maybe this will help you pick between the players.

2017 NFL Week 11 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I managed to not take a loss last Thursday…because it was a push. I hate Thursday games and I’ve pulled out my hair watching those games. They are just poorly played and have been difficult to handicap.

I finished last week .500, but it’s time to have a big week. I feel pretty good about the lines this week. There’s only one double-digit point spread, which is pretty rare this late in the season.

There are fourteen games on the schedule for the last week. There will be sixteen games a week starting next weekend.

Can the Patriots (-6.5) cover on the West Coast?

2017 NFL Week 10 – Betting Picks Against Spread

Thursday night games will be the death of me. I hate them and they clearly hate me. I’m not being hyperbolic. I’ve been so bad picking that game against the spread. I’m afraid to go back and see what my Thursday night record is this year. I know I have at least two wins, but can’t remember if there are anymore than that.

There are fourteen games on the schedule this week and we will have a full sixteen game schedule in two weeks.

There were only a couple double-digit point spreads this week. This is the time of year when we will see those more and more. We didn’t have any point spreads over two touchdowns.

2017 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 10

Only two more weeks and we will no longer have to deal with byes! Hopefully your teams have already dealt with the worst shorthanded weeks of the season.

Baltimore, Kansas City, Philadelphia and Oakland are off this week. You will need to find replacements for studs like Chiefs RB Kareem Hunt and Eagles QB Carson Wentz

A lot of teams are on bye week and you may need to fill a few holes in your lineup.

Arizona, Green Bay, Jacksonville, L.A. Rams, N.Y. Giants and Tennessee are all sitting this week out. I can already tell a lot of people will be looking for streaming options for running backs in Week 8.

2017 NFL Week 7 – Betting Picks Against Spread

Your boy got roughed up a bit last week. I went 6-8 and a few games were pretty ugly. I was doing well this year, but I didn’t adjust a few of my rankings. It didn’t help that injuries to quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and Jameis Winston probably decided two of those games.

There are fifteen games on the schedule this week. The only two teams that are on bye are the Houston Texans and Detroit Lions

I may have had a down week, but I did accomplish something…I broke my Thursday Night Football streak of ineptitude. The Eagles bailed me out with their cover at Carolina.

Can the Falcons (+3.5) win in their Super Bowl rematch against the Patriots?

2017 NFL Week 6 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 8-5-1 last week against the spread.

I once again hit all the late games and went 1-0-1 ATS on Sunday and Monday nights. I just need to do better on my Thursday and early game picks. I would have hit the Thursday game, but ~~current~~ former Tampa Bay kicker Nick Folk forgot how to use his feet.

This is the first week I have noticed a big uptick in double-digit point spreads. Those will become more rampant as the season goes on, but I didn’t find this week’s double-digit point spreads to be egregious.

Can the Chiefs keep winning and beat the Steelers Sunday afternoon?

Will my Thursday Night Football streak of futility snap this week?

2017 NFL Week 4 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 9-7 last week against the spread.

As many of you know, I’m a Colts fan. I’m often quite overly negative and pessimistic about the team. I’m not happy that Andrew Luck will miss this marquee game against the Seahawks on Sunday Night Football. Russell Wilson and Luck has only faced each other one other time and it may be a few more years until they play each other again.

When Luck had his shoulder surgery, I never heard a single word that the recovery would eat into the regular season. It wasn’t until the Summer and we heard that hey may not be ready for the start of the season and now it looks like he may be out another few weeks. It just blows that we have to see Jacoby Brissett in Luck’s spot in what I expect to be a blowout.

Can Cam Newton break out of his slump and upset the reigning Super Bowl champions?

2017 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 4

Week 4 is the last week before the dreaded bye weeks hit our fantasy teams. I feel that there are enough guys on the waiver wire worth streaming if you get into a pickle. There are a lot of timeshares that you could get lucky and pick a guy who ends up in the end zone.

There were plenty of upsets last week, so it made for an interesting fantasy week. Players like QB Case Keenum, WR Sterling Shepard and RB Chris Thompson were near the top of the scoring leaders in Week 3.

Will the backfield logjam in Washington, Seattle and Baltimore get straightened out this weekend?

Will the Jaguars bring their offense back from London or will that luggage item be lost against the Jets?
