2016 NFL Wild Card Playoff Games – Betting Picks Against Spread

I limped into the postseason a bit after having a few .500 weeks to end the year. The last two weeks are always pretty hard to handicap, so I don’t feel too bad about staying even.

Three of the four playoff games are being played outdoors, so check weather reports before kickoff. Minnesota is supposed to be bitterly cold, so it could play a factor.

2015 NFL Week 11 – Betting Picks Against Spread

A lot of change is happening this week. There are a lot of new faces starting at quarterback, so betting lines have been quite fluid this week.

I went 8-5 last week against the spread. I bounced back from a rough outing and hit on some nice moneylines. The underdogs put me well ahead for the week. I did miss on my Giants moneyline play, but I felt good that it nearly paid out.

New England appears to be as vulnerable as ever with the loss of wide receiver Julian Edelman. Can Buffalo end their bid for a perfect season?

2015 NFL Week 8 – Betting Picks Against Spread

The Lions fired a ton of their offensive coaching staff and promoted a guy named Jim Bob Cooter to run the offense. He has the best name in the NFL and possibly the entire world. We wish him the best of luck…he will need it.

I went 7-6 against the spread last week. I hit on an underdog moneyline with Oakland to come out positive on the week.

2015 NFL Week 7 – Betting Picks Against Spread

As a Colts fan, I was utterly embarrassed by the ‘snapfu’ fake punt they tried to convert against the Patriots on Sunday night. I’m beginning to think it wouldn’t be a bad idea if the Colts let head coach Chuck Pagano walk after this season.

I went 7-6-1 against the spread last week. I hit on a couple underdog moneylines and the Colts backdoor cover helped me out a bit.

It’s getting close to the time in which weather becomes a factor. It doesn’t appear that it will affect the games this weekend, but it will become an issue soon.

2015 NFL Team Preview: Seattle Seahawks

I wouldn’t blame Seattle Seahawks fans if they spent the offseason locked in their bedrooms, dehydrated from crying for the last six months. The goal line interception during the final minute of Super Bowl 49 will sting for their rest of their lives.

The Seahawks bring back nearly everyone of importance from last year’s Super Bowl appearance. They also added Pro Bowl tight end Jimmy Graham. Seattle looks like one of the favorites in the NFC.

Can Seattle keep up their home dominance?

How much will the addition of Graham help Seattle’s passing game?

2015 Super Bowl XLIX Picks – Prop Bets & Against the Spread

I LOVE prop bets. I actually get more joy out of betting Super Bowl prop bets than betting against the spread. Yes, most are a crap shoot, but with the right research, you can end up winning a bet with very favorable odds.

I’m not saying you can research who will win the coin toss, but there are many other player and team prop bets out there that have nice odds.

Some prop bets aren’t worth the money (the vig isn’t worth the slight risk), but sometimes you just have to lay a few bucks down, cross your fingers and wish for the best.

2015 NFL Divisional Playoff Games – Betting Picks Against Spread

Sorry about getting my picks up so late in the week. I’ve been on injured-reserve the last few days with a thumb/wrist issue. I feel like a pitcher who can’t hit 100 mph on the radar gun. I hope you still enjoy my 60 mph knuckleballs.

I finished the regular season with a record of 131-114-9 with my NFL picks against the spread. I missed a couple last week, but feel good about this week’s picks.

I had a decent year betting against the spread during the 2013-14 season (133-95-10). Any year you hit nearly 60% of the NFL games against the spread is a damn good year. I fared well in the playoffs as well.

We pick every game in the 2015 Divisional Playoffs against the spread. Can Dallas make people forget about all of last week’s favorable calls?

2014 NFL Week 16 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I’m sorry for getting this post up late this week. I was having a ‘man issue’ I couldn’t solve myself. The issue was that my car broke down and I’m horrible at man stuff, like use stainless steel tools and spitting. I finally got the issue straightened out and was able to research this week’s NFL games.

I went 8-6-2 last week. I now sit at 113-103-7 with my NFL picks against the spread this season.

I had a decent year betting against the spread in the NFL last season (133-95-10). Any year you hit nearly 60% of the NFL games against the spread is a damn good year. Let’s hope my win percentage is near that this season.

2014 NFL Week 15 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I finished 8-7-1 last week. I’ve been hovering around .500 for most of the season. I’ve had some nice underdog moneyline wins, but there are a few teams that I haven’t got a good feel for this season. I’ve whiffed on the Vikings, Rams and Falcons more the other teams. I now sit at 105-97-5 with my NFL picks against the spread this season.

I have no idea why Rob Gronkowski had a photoshoot with a kitten. I actually can’t explain anything he does, so it makes sense.

2014 NFL Week 13 – Betting Picks Against Spread

After dominating the previous week, I broke even at 7-7-1 last week. I had three close misses, but still feel like I made smart picks in those three close non-winners. I now sit at 90-81-4 with my NFL picks against the spread this season.

I do have to pat my back a bit by picking Oakland last week. I even mentioned that Latavius Murray would have a big game.

There are some awesome games lined up this week. There is only one double-digit point spread this week. I can’t wait to dive into a turkey, watch football, dive into turkey leftovers on Sunday and continue watching football.

2014 NFL Week 8 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I might have went 7-8 last week, but I did call a Jacksonville Jaguars moneyline play, so if you played my picks, you still easily had a positive cash week. I am now 54-50-1 against the spread on the season.

We are starting to realize which teams were overrated in preseason and which teams that made all the ‘experts’ looks stupid (I’m looking at you, Dallas).

Colt McCoy is starting for Washington this week. I hope he does well, so every sports blogger has the opportunity to un-retire old pictures Colt McCoy’s girlfriend.
