2014 NFL Week 15 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I finished 8-7-1 last week. I’ve been hovering around .500 for most of the season. I’ve had some nice underdog moneyline wins, but there are a few teams that I haven’t got a good feel for this season. I’ve whiffed on the Vikings, Rams and Falcons more the other teams. I now sit at 105-97-5 with my NFL picks against the spread this season.

I have no idea why Rob Gronkowski had a photoshoot with a kitten. I actually can’t explain anything he does, so it makes sense.

I had a decent year betting against the spread in the NFL last season (133-95-10). Any year you hit nearly 60% of the NFL games against the spread is a damn good year. Let’s hope my win percentage is near that this season.

2014 NFL Week 14 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I started out well (2-1 on Thanksgiving), but then the late games on Sunday stuck it to me. I finished 7-9 and completely whiffed on the Raiders/Rams and Giants/Jaguars games. I now sit at 97-90-4 with my NFL picks against the spread this season.

Why the hell is Justin Bieber surrounded by New England Patriots players? Rob Gronkowski looks happy as hell (but when doesn’t he look happy as hell?).

2014 NFL Week 13 – Betting Picks Against Spread

After dominating the previous week, I broke even at 7-7-1 last week. I had three close misses, but still feel like I made smart picks in those three close non-winners. I now sit at 90-81-4 with my NFL picks against the spread this season.

I do have to pat my back a bit by picking Oakland last week. I even mentioned that Latavius Murray would have a big game.

There are some awesome games lined up this week. There is only one double-digit point spread this week. I can’t wait to dive into a turkey, watch football, dive into turkey leftovers on Sunday and continue watching football.

2014 NFL Week 10 – Betting Picks Against Spread

After getting roughed up in Week 8, I bounced back. I went 9-4 on the week and now sit at 68-63-2 against the spread on the season.

2014 NFL Week 7 – Betting Picks Against Spread

The NFL never ceases to surprise. The Browns are doing the impossible and the Falcons continue to nosedive.

We went 9-6 last week and are now 47-42-1 against the spread on the season.

It’s time to zig and zag in the NFL. If you’ve been riding a team so far this season, it could be time to jump off before things get ugly.

2014 NFL Week 6 – Betting Picks Against Spread

Vegas is starting to key into these teams. Yes, a few point spreads last week weren’t even close, but a handful were won or lost by a single point. We went 7-7-1 and are now 38-36-1 against the spread on the season.

It’s time to zig and zag in the NFL. If you’ve been riding a team so far this season, it could be time to jump off before things get ugly. It might be time to…*gulp* bet on the Jaguars. OH, THE HORROR!

2013 NFL Week 14 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I started out great last week with a nice Thanksgiving, but then the Sunday afternoon games bit me. I finished the week with hits on Sunday night and Monday. I have a 98-68-10 record against the spread this year.

In December, weather reports become more important than ever. Those must be looked at before you make a decision. It is also important to look at division records. If one of the teams in a game has nothing left to play for, it could sway your decision in the right direction.

If you’ve been riding a team all season, it’s time to reassess the situation and reevaluate if that team’s point spreads are now inflated. Carolina and Arizona both fall into that category from this point forward.

There are no more bye weeks, so we have a full slate of games going forward. If you’re down on the season, it’s now time to make it up and get in the black before the playoffs.

2013 NFL Week 13 – Betting Picks Against Spread

Thanks to Denver’s second-half collapse and Houston’s no-show against Jacksonville, I only had a 7-6-1 record in Week 12. I did pick a San Diego moneyline win, so hopefully you put a few jellybeans on that. I have a 91-60-9 record against the spread this year.

At this point in the season, make sure you look at home/road splits and injury reports. Weather reports should also be looked at, but that goes without saying in November and December.

If you’ve been riding a team and they’ve done well against the spread (Carolina), it could be time to look away. The spreads become inflated and the value is sucked out.

There are ZERO teams on bye this week. We actually get a full slate of games to bet. I’m more excited about that than any turkey leg you can put in front of my face.

2013 NFL Week 12 – Betting Picks Against Spread

In a week with little value in any points spread, I managed to go 11-4 week with my picks against the spread last week. I have a 84-54-8 record against the spread this year.

I like a lot of road teams this week in many of the marquee games. The schedule is boom or bust. You have horrible games like Jacksonville at Houston or great games like Denver at New England. I’m sorry if you’re stuck with one of the bad games this Sunday (I suggest you buy NFL Sunday Ticket).

There are four teams on bye this week. That will finally end soon and we will have sixteen games every week. This week, I suggest keeping an eye on injury reports and weather conditions from this point forward.

2013 NFL Week 11 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I started out strong last week, but the late games got me. I had a couple bad beats, but I had a better week than Ed Reed. I still have a strong 73-49-8 record against the spread this year.

I like a lot of favorites this week, but not in the marquee games. I suggest sleeping in on Sunday, since the early slate of games is atrocious. There are some nice bets, but watching those games will be a struggle.

There are only two teams on bye this week. Finally, the weeks of having a half dozen teams on bye are over. I suggest keeping an eye on injury reports and weather conditions from this point forward.

2013 NFL Week 10 – Betting Picks Against Spread

Many home dogs performed well last week. I missed on Miami, Carolina and NY Jets last week (just like many others), but I also picked the Cleveland moneyline play and predicted the exact points in the Colts victory. My record against the spread is 67-42-7 on the season.

Say goodbye to any value in the points spreads. The value is now in the decent teams coming off byes or a close loss (New Orleans, Denver, Cincinnati). They are risky, but they’ll payoff at this point in the season. Keep those teams in mind in the coming weeks.

There are only four teams on bye this week. In the last two weeks, as many as six teams were taking the week off. I’m glad there are at least 14 games this week.

2013 NFL Week 8 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I had a good week. I went 10-5 last week. I missed on the Colts game (like everybody else), but I also picked Buffalo on a moneyline play for the upset. Need betting advice for the NFL games this weekend? We pick every game against the spread in Week 8 of the NFL season.

Say goodbye to any value in the points spreads. The value is now in the decent teams with a bad record (Atlanta, NY Giants, Pittsburgh). Those plays are risky, but they’ll payoff again this week. Keep those teams in mind in the coming weeks.

Six teams are on bye this week, so there are three less games this weekend. Whoever made that decision in the NFL office should be fired. I’m sure he’s the same guy who’s pushing for more NFL games in London.
