2017 NFL Week 9 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I had a solid week picking NFL games against the spread last week. I went 9-4, but totally whiffed on the Thursday game (again). Miami ended up playing one of the worst games this season.

There are thirteen games on the schedule again with six teams on bye. There are only two more weeks of byes and then we are back to a full 16-game schedule.

The slate of games last week was very enjoyable. I especially loved the Seattle/Houston game. Hell, the Colts/Bengals game was even unexpectedly close in the final minutes.

2017 NFL Week 7 – Betting Picks Against Spread

Your boy got roughed up a bit last week. I went 6-8 and a few games were pretty ugly. I was doing well this year, but I didn’t adjust a few of my rankings. It didn’t help that injuries to quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and Jameis Winston probably decided two of those games.

There are fifteen games on the schedule this week. The only two teams that are on bye are the Houston Texans and Detroit Lions

I may have had a down week, but I did accomplish something…I broke my Thursday Night Football streak of ineptitude. The Eagles bailed me out with their cover at Carolina.

Can the Falcons (+3.5) win in their Super Bowl rematch against the Patriots?

2017 NFL Week 6 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 8-5-1 last week against the spread.

I once again hit all the late games and went 1-0-1 ATS on Sunday and Monday nights. I just need to do better on my Thursday and early game picks. I would have hit the Thursday game, but current former Tampa Bay kicker Nick Folk forgot how to use his feet.

This is the first week I have noticed a big uptick in double-digit point spreads. Those will become more rampant as the season goes on, but I didn’t find this week’s double-digit point spreads to be egregious.

Can the Chiefs keep winning and beat the Steelers Sunday afternoon?

Will my Thursday Night Football streak of futility snap this week?

We pick ever NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 6 of the 2017 NFL season.

2017 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 6

We all survived the first week of bye weeks, but unfortunately, there are many more weeks of it to come. A few of my teams were rocked last week, but I don’t have to worry about bye weeks much going forward. I guess that’s a huge plus after struggling to fill my rosters last week.

Buffalo, Cincinnati, Dallas and Seattle are taking the week off. I’ve had a couple fantasy teams decimated from byes since I have TE Jordan Reed, RB Chris Thompson, WR Julio Jones and RB Devonta Freeman on multiple teams.

What should we expect from Jacksonville RB Leonard Fournette? His final numbers last week were insane, but he struggled for the first three quarters. Did he have a lucky quarter or will he have another crazy fantasy week?

Here is our Fantasy Football Sit/Start for Week 6 of the 2017 NFL season…and enjoy our odd amazing MS Paint masterpiece of Fournette.

2017 NFL Week 5 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 11-5 last week against the spread.

I hit both Sunday night and Monday night football games and all of the afternoon games. If only I picked the Thursday game and the early games better.

Thursday night games have been my kryptonite. I have only hit on one all season. I am guilty of overthinking those games. It’s a hangover from last year when Thursday games were extremely unpredictable. I’ve taken an unpopular positions on Thursday game, but that will change.

Let’s talk about how good the Kansas City Chiefs are this year. The addition of rookie RB Kareem Hunt made a huge difference, but he isn’t the only improvement. QB Alex Smith is playing with new life in his arm. Who knew that think could throw passes farther than 12 yards?

Can the Chiefs keep winning and beat the Texans on Sunday night football?

2017 NFL Week 3 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I had a pretty mediocre Week 2 in the NFL against the spread. The outcomes of a few games actually shocked me. I didn’t expect the Cardinals to play so flat against the Colts, the Cowboys gave up after Dak Prescott threw his first pick and

Do you know who danced their way into the hearts of America? Marshawn Lynch. I just want to be his best friend.

Week 3 could be a tricky week for some bettors, especially if a team has drastically under-performed your expectations, Is it time to bail or should you stick to your own preseason rankings? I think you still have to stick with your preseason rankings unless a team suffered an injury to a key player (i.e. TE Greg Olsen).

Will the 49ers and Bengals score their first touchdowns of the season?

2017 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 2

I hit on some really nice suggestions last week. I was one of the few people out there to scream the praises of Los Angeles Rams WR Cooper Kupp. He was a stud at Eastern Washington and brought his tight routes and sticky hands to the NFL.

I hope Mr. Kupp enjoys my amazing awkward MS Paint sKiLLz.

Did the sleepers you drafted pay off Week 1? Did you already dump those guys?

Who will takeover for injured Arizona RB David Johnson and Jacksonville WR Allen Robinson?

We help navigate the many decisions you need to make going into the second week of fantasy football.

Here is our Fantasy Football Sit/Start for Week 2 of the 2017 NFL season.

2017 NFL Week 1 – Betting Picks Against Spread

It’s finally time to start picking NFL games against the spread!

A lot of playoff teams from last year come into this year with either relatively the same roster, or even better. Not many of the top teams are expected to fall out of the playoff race this season. The rich got richer this offseason, especially the New England Patriots.

A few rookies are already in impact roles like Deshone Kizer who was named the starting quarterback in Cleveland and players like Myles Garrett, Leonard Fournette and Christian McCaffrey should make an impact in Week 1 of the season.

Can Aaron Rodgers defeat Russell Wilson for a third time in a row?

Will the Colts get blown out in Los Angeles without Andrew Luck?

We pick ever NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 1 of the 2017 NFL season.

2016 NFL Week 13 – Betting Picks Against Spread

Matt-Barkley-Chicago-Bears-QB-Americas-White-Boy-week-13-gambling-picks-against-the-spreadI went undefeated on Thanksgiving against the spread, but after losing two games by a half-point and Denver blowing their lead Sunday night, I finished 9-7 last week. I could have had a very good week, but I’ll take the nine covers.

I can’t believe we could be seeing the ‘Matt Barkley Era’ begin in Chicago. He was able to move the ball and if it wasn’t for two redzone interceptions, they would have beaten Tennessee. I guess it’s pretty easy to look like a capable NFL quarterback when you’re following Jay Cutler.

There isn’t much need to keep an eye on weather reports this weekend. All of the games are expected to be nice.

2016 NFL Week 12 – Betting Picks Against Spread

americas-white-boy-NFL-betting-picks-against-the-spread-Week-12-Thanksgiving-bettingAfter a few weeks floating around .500, I finished 8-5-1 last week. I hit both Sunday Night and Monday Night Football games for only the third time this season. I was hoping to hit the Thursday night game too, but it ended in a push.

I’ve historically done very well on Thanksgiving and this year’s games have pretty favorable lines.

Injuries are mounting up and it’s extremely important to study injury reports at this point in the season.

2016 NFL Week 11 – Betting Picks Against Spread

dak-prescott-dallas-cowboys-week-11-nfl-betting-picks-against-the-spread-americas-white-boy-gamblingAfter hitting on almost 70% of my picks the last five weeks, I hit a wall last week. I finished 5-7-2 after whiffing on many of the early games. I was lucky to make up for it and hit on some late games last week.

The Dallas Cowboys are officially rookie QB Dak Prescott’s team. Often-injured QB Tony Romo said this week that Dak deserves to be the quarterback. I guess this is one of the reason many top quarterbacks often have extremely crappy backup quarterbacks. The Cowboys had guys like Kyle Orton and Brandon Weeden for a reason, to appease Romo’s ego.

2016 NFL Week 10 – Betting Picks Against Spread

richard-sherman-tom-brady-week-10-2016-nfl-season-picks-against-the-spread-betting-americas-white-boyI went 8-3-2 last week and actually hit the Monday Night Football game for the first time in a few weeks. I have no idea what’s going on there, since I have decent track record in the past.

We are back to fourteen games on the schedule this week after having a lot of teams on bye week the last two weeks.

The election is over and even if you are unhappy with the outcome, you can now focus more of your time on sports. There might even be a portion of the country that has no idea the NBA season has started. Welcome back to the real world, political junkies.

We pick ever NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 10 of the 2016 NFL season.
