You might think that American Football is safer than something like Rugby. On the surface, the main difference seems to be that in American Football you are given a lot more padding. Of course, that wasn’t always the case, and when the sport first started, athletes were using leather caps which was why they were popularly referred to as ‘leatherheads.’ Of course, back then there wasn’t an issue with steroid usage in these types of sports, but that’s a discussion for another day. So what is the danger of playing American football.

Sports Crush: Kay Adams

kay-adams-cute-good-morning-football-nfl-network-pretty-legs-fantasy-zone-brunette-headshotKay Adams is one of the hosts of ‘Good Morning Football” on NFL Network and also a co-host of ‘Fantasy Zone’ on DirecTV, a companion of the NFL Sunday Ticket package.

We were once ‘kind of’ co-workers at one time. She worked at the Fanball office in St. Louis doing video work and I was a freelance writer for them covering the Columbus Blue Jackets and Indiana Pacers on their team pages.

She’s cute as a button and if you have ever seen her on television, you know she’s a fun gal.

We have featured many other sports reporters/anchors in the past like Erin Coscarelli, Jen Hale, Britt McHenry and Jenny Dell.

The Mystery of Jason Pierre-Paul’s Hand

Jason-Pierre-Paul-Hand New York Giants NFLWe’ve all heard the story by now. New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul rented a huge truck, filled it with fireworks and then preceded to blow off finger(s) on his right hand.

JPP since went MIA and didn’t report to the Giants for the entire training camp. He didn’t need to show up since he never signed the franchise tag contract. The contract is still on the table, but New York could basically refuse to pay him if they put him on the ‘Non-Football Injury” list. If he missed the entire season while on the list, they wouldn’t have to pay him a dime. Also, the time accrued while on the list doesn’t count towards the player’s pension plan.

There are still questions about the shape of JPP’s hand. Every report gets worse and worse. How many fingers does he have left?

Sports Crush: Jen Hale

Jen Hale legs miniskirt beautiful FOX Sports NFL NBA bikiniWe’ve written a handful of ‘Sports Crush‘ posts since we launched America’s White Boy. We’ve spotlighted female MMA fighters, WWE Divas and female sports reporters like MLB Network’s Heidi Watney, ESPN’s Britt McHenry and NFL Network’s Erin Coscarelli. We decided to profile another female sports reporter, current FOX sports sideline reporter Jen Hale.

You can see Jen Hale every Sunday during NFL on FOX broadcasts as a sideline reporter and during New Orleans Pelicans telecasts on Fox Sports New Orleans.

She was a cheerleader at LSU and then went to Northwestern to earn her Master’s degree in broadcast journalism. She has a huge brain behind that smile.

I want to thank Walker for the email requesting her.

Sports Crush: Erin Coscarelli

We’ve written a handful of ‘Sports Crush‘ posts since we launched America’s White Boy. We’ve spotlighted female MMA fighters, WWE Divas and female sports reporters like MLB Network’s Heidi Watney. We decided to profile another female on a league-owned network, NFL Network’s Erin Coscarelli.

She was recently hired at NFL Network and co-hosts NFL AM with Rhett Lewis. She previously worked at Comcast SportsNet Bay Area.

During her first broadcast, she showed her toughness by taking a wiffle ball bat to her side and won me over further by admitting she loves the WWE, specifically the Undertaker. She seems like one of the guys on the set and knows her football. She’s also a great follow on Twitter.

We are crushing on Erin Coscarelli and once you look at our photo gallery, you will understand why.
