2018 NFL Week 11 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 8-3-1 against the spread last week. I’ve went 18-6-1 over the last two weeks. This makes up for hovering around .500 in the first-half of the year.

I started the year off pretty bland, but I’m getting a better feel for the teams now. I just had to adjust my rankings a bit. Also, the half-point losses were a killer early this season. I’ve been on the right side of those the last month.

There are a few marquee games that could decide divisions (Minnesota at Chicago) and one that could be a Super Bowl preview (Kansas City at L.A. Rams).

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 11 of the 2018 NFL season.

2018 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 9

A few solid fantasy contributors were traded this week. Will any make a big impact in their first week with their new team?

There are a whopping six teams on bye this week. The Bengals, Colts, Giants, Eagles, Cardinals and Jaguars are all on vacation.

You could be in need of replacements for fantasy studs like QB Carson Wentz, WR A.J. Green, RB Saquon Barkley and QB Andrew Luck.

Here is our Fantasy Football Sit/Start for Week 9 of the 2018 NFL season…and enjoy our awesome MS Paint masterpiece of Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton

2018 NFL Week 6 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 7-7-1 against the spread last week.

I nearly had a heart attack after whiffing on most of the early games last week. I came back and made it back to even after nailing the late games and the Monday night game.

I decided to focus on home underdogs this week. They have been paying pretty well this year and I’ve missed on some this year. I’ve also been underrating defense. It’s easy to do since there are so many excellent offenses in the NFL.

2018 NFL Week 5 – Betting Picks Against Spread

There were some close-to-the-betting-line games last week. There were three ties in my weekly bets. I still finished slightly under .500, which was aggravating. I missed two games by a point or less. I’m limping a little, but I’m feeling strong this week.

Vegas is predicting another week of close games. There is only one double-digit point spread and nearly half of the games are within a field goal. I may not have any nails left on my hands by Monday night.

The rookie quarterbacks were 0-4 outright last week. Will they bounce back this week?

2018 NFL Week 3 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 7-8-1 against the spread last week, but I am still over .500 on the season.

There are a ton of -3 games out there. This week should be a very fun week of NFL football

Eagles QB Carson Wentz is set to return from injury and face the Colts. The offense should improve as they were a bit stagnant in both games so far.

Are the Steelers locker room imploding? They are without Le’Veon Bell due to a contract dispute and now start WR Antonio Brown is causing problems. Can they bounce back this week on Monday Night Football?

2018 NFL Week 2 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I started the year off on a good note by going 9-6-1 against the spread in Week 1.

Not only did some teams surprise everyone (Jets & Bucs), but there were some nice underdog moneylines that paid out.

We didn’t get out of Week 1 without dealing with some injuries. RB Leonard Fournette, WR Doug Baldwin and TE Delanie Walker all may miss multiple weeks due to injuries. It’s important to keep an eye on injury reports early in the year. There are some big names on there this week.

2018 NFL Week 1 – Betting Picks Against Spread

Were you one of those guys who bet on NFL preseason games?

I get it. You were excited to wager on football again and just jumped the gun a little. It’s now time to bet on some games that count!

We had a pretty good year betting on NFL games last year. We went 144-115-16 and hit on a few underdog moneylines to come out in the black for the season.

There are a ton of new quarterbacks making their first starts for their new teams this weekend. Veteran quarterbacks like Kirk Cousins, Alex Smith and Sam Bradford hope to lead their new teams to successful seasons. Also, quarterbacks Andrew Luck, Deshaun Watson and Ryan Tannehill return from injuries. Which quarterback will make the biggest impact in Week 1?

2017 NFL Week 17 – Betting Picks Against Spread

Week 16 was a rough one for us. We took a couple risks that didn’t pay off. I honestly thought the Browns would play much better against the Bears and that the Lions would show up to play against the lowly Bengals.

Week 17 is full of landmines since some last-minute changes could mean players end up resting and taking the week off. Keep track of possible playoff outcomes and what their head coaches are saying this week.

Every game this week is on Sunday, so this could be a rare time to completely waste your money and put a few jellybeans on a 16-team parlay…which would have odds somewhere in-between astronomical and impossible. I don’t recommend anyone ever do this unless it’s a gag and is only a few bucks.

2017 NFL Week 15 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 10-6 last week, but thought I was going have an even better week. I thought I was well on my way to one of my upset moneyline picks paying off, but the Browns coughed up the game. I probably jinxed it since I was already counting my money…then saw the update during the Colts/Bills snowball fight

There are few too many double-digit point spreads this week. It’s common this time of the year, but was spoiled last week with a lot of competitive betting lines.

A couple teams have injury issues at quarterback and will need to rely on backups to keep them in the playoff race.

2017 NFL Week 12 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I had a pretty sad all around betting experience last weekend. I was rocked in college football and was just so-so in the NFL. I hit on a nice parlay that saved the weekend.

I’ve historically done very well on Thanksgiving. I’ve went a perfect three-for-three in many years. I can’t promise that will happen this season as Thursday games are the bane of my existence. It’s becoming a gimmick at this point.

There are quite a few double-digit point spreads this week. We will see more and more of those as teams start to drop out of playoff contention.

Can I win a damn Thursday game? Let’s do this!

2017 NFL Week 8 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 7-6-2 against the spread last week. I am due for a big week and hopefully it happens this week.

There are thirteen games on the schedule with six teams on bye.

Last week’s slate of games were kind of disappointing. There were a lot of games I was excited to see, but there were too many non-competitive games for my taste.

There are some whopper double-digit spreads this week. There’s even one in the London game, which could be a tough cover for the Vikings.

2017 NFL Week 7 – Betting Picks Against Spread

Your boy got roughed up a bit last week. I went 6-8 and a few games were pretty ugly. I was doing well this year, but I didn’t adjust a few of my rankings. It didn’t help that injuries to quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and Jameis Winston probably decided two of those games.

There are fifteen games on the schedule this week. The only two teams that are on bye are the Houston Texans and Detroit Lions

I may have had a down week, but I did accomplish something…I broke my Thursday Night Football streak of ineptitude. The Eagles bailed me out with their cover at Carolina.

Can the Falcons (+3.5) win in their Super Bowl rematch against the Patriots?
