2019 NFL Week 14 – Betting Picks Against Spread

Jimmy Garoppolo San Francisco 49ers dottedI went 9-7 against the spread last week.

We have a full slate of games every week from this point forward. It’s just more opportunities for gamblers to try to break even or fall farther in the hole. I’m in the black for the year and I’m going to play it a bit conservative this week and not lay down any above average amounts. I dipped into my profits a bit on Black Friday.

There are a few marquee games this week with Baltimore facing Buffalo and Kansas City traveling to New England. The outcomes of both of those games will definitely have an effect on the AFC playoff race.

Can the 49ers keep the game close against the Saints?

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 14 of the 2019 NFL season.

2019 NFL Week 9 – Betting Picks Against Spread

Kirk Cousins dottedI finished 10-5 against the spread with my picks last week.

I lost the Thursday game last week, but killed it in the early games on Sunday. I felt I made some smart picks in a week that saw a lot of close calls near the points spread.

I wanted to wait until Wednesday night to make my picks to the NFL trade deadline ending earlier this week. There weren’t any big trades and the teams are all roughly the same. I think the biggest trade may have been when the Dolphins traded RB Kenyan Drake to the Cardinals for a low draft pick…so it was a bland deadline.

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 9 of the 2019 NFL season.

2019 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 2

Gardner Minshew dotted final fantasyI am battling one hell of a flu bug this week. I actually started this post on Tuesday and had to quit due to everything spinning.

Now that I am feeling a little better, I’ve still only eaten saltine crackers since Monday, let’s crank out some fantasy football and betting posts!

I had a few studs and duds with my picks last week. I’m feeling better now that I’ve seen what roles from of the new players played for their teams in Week 1.

Can Gardner Minshew become a stud for the Jaguars?

Here is our Fantasy Football Sit/Start for Week 2 of the 2019 NFL season…and enjoy our awesome MS Paint masterpiece of QB Gardner Minshew of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

2018 NFL Week 12 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 7-5-1 against the spread last week.

I’ve historically done very well on Thanksgiving. I’ve been perfect the last two Turkey Days. I’ve at least went 2-1 every year for as long as I can remember. I’ve just been able to find value with these lines.

…and I hope I didn’t just jinx it.

There are fifteen games on the schedule for the first time in awhile. This is the final week for byes, so we are going back to a sixteen game schedule next week.

Will Matthew Stafford lay an egg on Thanksgiving?

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 12 of the 2018 NFL season.

2018 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 10

There are four teams on bye this week. The Broncos, Vikings, Ravens and the Texans are all off.

You could be in need of replacements for fantasy studs like QB Kirk Cousins, WR DeAndre Hopkins or WR Adam Thielen.

Now that many of your players have dealt with bye weeks, it’s time to look at your roster and trim the fat. There may not be a need to carry two tight ends anymore. You can build your roster towards the fantasy playoffs.

When is your league trade deadline? If it hasn’t passed, you could look to improve your team through late-season trades.

There are a whopping six teams on bye this week. The Bengals, Colts, Giants, Eagles, Cardinals and Jaguars are all on vacation.

You could be in need of replacements for fantasy studs like QB Carson Wentz, WR A.J. Green, RB Saquon Barkley and QB Andrew Luck.

2018 NFL Week 8 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 8-5-1 against the spread last week.

I started out 0-2 against the spread, but went 8-2-1 after the London game ended on Sunday. I really needed that.

It might be time to abandon a team or jump on the bandwagon on a team that has struggled against the spread. Market corrections are coming soon for some of these teams.

Can Jacksonville QB Blake Bortles make a huge turnaround and keep his starting job? He will need a huge performance in London.

We pick ever NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 8 of the 2018 NFL season.

2017 NFL Week 17 – Betting Picks Against Spread

Week 16 was a rough one for us. We took a couple risks that didn’t pay off. I honestly thought the Browns would play much better against the Bears and that the Lions would show up to play against the lowly Bengals.

Week 17 is full of landmines since some last-minute changes could mean players end up resting and taking the week off. Keep track of possible playoff outcomes and what their head coaches are saying this week.

Every game this week is on Sunday, so this could be a rare time to completely waste your money and put a few jellybeans on a 16-team parlay…which would have odds somewhere in-between astronomical and impossible. I don’t recommend anyone ever do this unless it’s a gag and is only a few bucks.

We pick ever NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 17 of the 2017 NFL season.

2017 NFL Week 16 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 10-3-3 last week in an extraordinary week with favorite-heavy covers.

I really, really hate double-digit point spreads in the NFL…but they are unavoidable at this time of the year.

Vegas is really sticking it to bettors this week since nearly every favorite won last week and they have to make their money back.

There isn’t a Thursday game this week, so I delayed my post by a day. I was surprised all the betting lines were on the board since Week 16 and 17 games are often last-minute adds with injuries and other roster changes evaluated through the week.

We pick ever NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 16 of the 2017 NFL season.

2017 NFL Week 15 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 10-6 last week, but thought I was going have an even better week. I thought I was well on my way to one of my upset moneyline picks paying off, but the Browns coughed up the game. I probably jinxed it since I was already counting my money…then saw the update during the Colts/Bills snowball fight

There are few too many double-digit point spreads this week. It’s common this time of the year, but was spoiled last week with a lot of competitive betting lines.

A couple teams have injury issues at quarterback and will need to rely on backups to keep them in the playoff race.

We pick ever NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 15 of the 2017 NFL season.

2017 NFL Week 13 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I had a perfect Thanksgiving last week. After struggling on Thursday games like it was my freakin’ job, I went 3 for 3 on Thanksgiving. I started out hot on Sunday as well, but finished the week with a 9-6-1.

The perfect Thanksgiving was a bit unexpected, but really needed. I should go back to see what my Thursday record is, but I’m almost afraid.

There are some pretty cool games coming up this weekend. A few division games that could be the difference in who wins their division.

Can the Giants find success with QB Geno Smith starting over Eli Manning?

We pick ever NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 13 of the 2017 NFL season.

A Fan’s Guide To Supporting A Sports Team From A Different Country

We all have sports that we know and love to follow. For most of us, we stick to fairly national sports like football, basketball, or baseball. All the teams we support are from this country, which makes it very easy to be a good supporter. We can go to games, watch them on TV, it’s really simple.

But, what if you follow a sport or team from a different country? Plenty of us do it, with soccer especially. A lot of the best soccer teams play over in Europe, so we choose to support one of them and try to follow the big games.

The only problem and this applies to foreign teams in other sports too, is that it’s harder to support them. It’s not as easy to follow their matches thanks to time zones, and we can’t exactly go to matches all the time. Keeping that in mind, I’ve come up with a few ideas to help any sports fans that try to support a foreign team.
