2017 NCAA Football – Week 2 Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 14-10-1 last week against the spread. Some of my late Saturday afternoon picks were close, but didn’t fall in my favor. I did hit on most of the marquee games. I fell into a trap of picking a few large spreads against mid-major teams. Big programs often don’t take those games very serious, thus falling short of the large point spread.

We have already lost a few marquee players for long periods of time. Make sure you keep an eye on the injury reports cause a few backup quarterbacks are playing this weekend.

A couple Heisman candidates stumbled in Week 1. Will USC QB Sam Darnold right the ship? Will Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield become the Heisman favorite with an elite performance against Ohio State?

We at ‘America’s White Boy’ pick 25 college football games against the spread in Week 2 of the NCAA Football season (September 9th, 2017). We also focus on small conference games and Thursday night games.

2017 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 1

This is the favorite time of year for most fantasy sports players. Fantasy football draft day has become a tradition like Thanksgiving and Valentine’s Day. Okay, not that huge, but for many people it is true.

Remember those sleepers you took in the last few rounds of your fantasy football draft or may have spent a buck or two on late in your auction? You will most likely know more about those guys after Week 1.

You normally never have to deal with bye weeks during Week 1, but due to Hurricane Irma, the Miami/Tampa Bay game is postponed until November. Your sleepers may come into play this week if you were planning on starting any Miami or Tampa Bay players.

Which guys will be a bust in Week 1?

Here is our Fantasy Football Sit/Start for Week 1 of the 2017 NFL season.

reDRAFT – 2010 NFL Draft

People often try to grade professional sports drafts immediately after they’re done. It’s easy to just play armchair general manager the next day. The NFL team that drafts the most popular players from teams with the largest college football fanbases, get the highest draft grades. No one is giving a team an A+ to a team that drafts an offensive lineman from Idaho.

Since the 2017 NFL season kicks off this week, it’s time to look back at an older NFL Draft and redraft based on how well the player has played in the NFL.

This list isn’t “pick the top 32 players and list them from best to worst” redraft. I try to factor in what the team needed in 2010. I’m not going to pick the St. Louis Rams drafting Rob Gronkowski first overall, cause the team didn’t even have a quarterback to throw to him.

Which players would be taken in the first-round in a ‘redrafted’ 2010 NFL Draft?

Work Out A Workout!

We are all getting busier and busier as life goes on, and so it means that there are fewer opportunities for us to fit in the all-important workout routines. And even something as enjoyable as activities and sports that you can play with your family seems to be obstructed by the working week. So by the time the weekend rolls around, we are left exhausted and not particularly in the mood to do anything that requires exertion. The real trick to getting fit when we have busy lives is all about working smarter rather than working harder. We all have to work at getting a good exercise routine in so here are a few ways to structure it into your busy lives.

Option 1:  Exercise On The Way Into Work

2017 NCAA Football – Week 1 Betting Picks Against Spread

It’s finally time for some college football! It has been a long year and football is a good excuse to sit around all day, eat bad and partake in a few adult beverages.

This season kicks off in a big way with some huge games. You do have a healthy dose of enormous point spreads in ‘warm up’ games for big programs, but Alabama/Florida State and Florida/Michigan games are worth waiting out some blowouts this weekend.

Will any player jump out in front of the Heisman race like Lamar Jackson did in the first week last year?

We at ‘America’s White Boy’ pick 25 college football games against the spread in Week 1 of the NCAA Football season (September 2nd, 2017). We also focus on small conference games and Thursday night games.

Are there any upsets you have your eye on this week?

Activities And Sports That Are More Exciting Than You Think

Staying active is so important. It isn’t just about staying in shape but keeping your mind active and healthy too. The bodily and mental benefits are crucial beyond reasons of vanity, but that still may not be enough to motivate you to get out there and keep active. Many sports and physical activities seem boring on the face of it.

Heading to the gym can be tedious and repetitive for many people, long walks can be dull, and even some popular sports such as basketball and soccer aren’t exciting to everyone. Still, if you’re desperate to do more to keep yourself healthy and happy but you’re starting to doubt whether there are any exciting sports of physical activities out there then here are a few examples which might just change your mind.

How To Make Your College Football Team Look The Part

Being part of a college football team is an exciting thing to be able to say that you do. You put hours of work in at the gym and on the field, whilst studying games and tactics too. It’s more than just a sport, and so when you get into it you need to be able to look the part to complete the package! But what can you do? Well, if you carry on reading, you’ll know exactly what to do.

Team Jersey

Your playing jersey, as in any sport, is the thing by which you’re going to be identifying your team with. Without it, everyone would be unmarked and it would be difficult to know who is on your team and who is not! This is why you need a custom jersey. Not only that, but getting one makes your team look much more professional; if everyone is wearing the same, unique jersey that has their names and numbers displayed on their backs and with the team logo on the front then the entire team is going to look organized and ready to go!

2017 College Football: All-Name Team

What makes a great college football name?

A good litmus test is if it works as a potential pro wrestling name, it works in college football. It also works if a name sounds like a verb, phrase, a certain body part or just a bad ass football name that makes them sound tough.

We went through every team in the top two divisions in the NCAA. We went through ever single name and picked out the ones that were funny and some names we just wish we had.

My name is Bobby Roberts, so of all the people who can write a post poking fun at names, it’s me. I’m always asked if my real name is Robert Roberts (it’s not) or if my name is fake (it’s not).

Here is the 2017-18 college football All-Name team.

Is It Time To Take Your Sport To The Next Level?

There comes a time when a sport no longer becomes a hobby but a passion. If you feel you’ve mastered the basics or perhaps even conquered your sport on an intermediate level, it could be time to give yourself a new challenge surrounding your sport. Here are some of the major ways that you can progress to a professional level.

Compete

Every sports from football to mountain biking to even pilates has a competitive side. If you haven’t yet tried competing in some kind of event, it could be time to give it a go. A competition is the perfect tangible goal to make you want to get better. Keep competing until you start winning and then up the stakes when you feel ready by taking on bigger competitions.

Betting Picks: 2017 College Football Over/Under Season Wins

The 2017-18 NCAA football regular season has already started (sort of). There have only been a few games played and most teams start the season late this week or over the weekend.

I have had a pretty confident on these regular season wins prop bets, but just wanted to be 100% sure a guy like USC’s Sam Darnold or Penn State’s Saquon Barkley didn’t suffer a major injury during a preseason scrimmage.

I’ve been working on these picks for quite awhile. I’d work on it for a few days and then come back to it. I’m a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to picking over/under totals.

There are a lot of even win totals, so if I pick ‘PUSH’, it’s mostly just advising you to avoid betting on this team, since the win total will most likely be the real win total. I don’t want you to basically loan your betting site x-amount of dollars just to get back the same amount in early-December.

Betting Picks: 2017 NFL Over/Under Season Wins

We are a little over a week away from the start of the 2017 NFL regular season. This is the very last minute to start thinking about possible bets for over/under regular season team wins. I wanted to wait on this post since injuries have affected my decisions in a big way. Also, position battles swung a few decisions, like Deshone Kizer winning the starting quarterback job in Cleveland.

We didn’t just look at the lines and guess at our over/under picks. We went through the entire schedule in the NFL and picked every game.

A lot can happen from now until the end of the season (injuries, coaching changes, etc). We will attempt to help you make a better decision on which teams to lay bets on.

Sporty Alternatives To Sunbathing On The Beach

Heading to the beach is a brilliant way to spend a day or two during the summer. Sunbathing on the sand and having a swim in the sea is the perfect way to relax, but some people find that a bit boring. If you’re a very active person, the idea of laying on the beach all day doing nothing isn’t that attractive. That doesn’t mean you should miss out altogether though. There are loads of great beach sports that you can play while you’re there. Next time you head to the beach, why not try out some of these great sports?

Beach Volleyball

Beach volleyball is one of the most popular beach sports because it’s easy to pick up, and anybody can get involved. All you need is a net and you’re ready to go. It doesn’t really matter how many people you’ve got on each team and people can drop in and out as they please so it’s the perfect, easy going game to play at the beach.
