Sportsbooks Dominate NBA ‘Season Wins’ Prop Bets

We love posting season win over/under picks for the NBA, MLB and NFL. Sportsbooks are often very close to the actual win totals, which makes it hard for a bettor to win. They do have bad years, but the 2017-18 NBA season was very good for sportsbooks.

Out of the the 30 NBA team’s season win totals this preseason, the sportsbooks were +/- a single win for nine of them. That’s an insanely good year prognosticating the NBA this season. I guess the betting public also had a say in it as well.

People think sportsbooks try to guess the exact total of wins in a season or score of a game. That’s actually not the case most of the time. They try to get bets on both outcomes as evenly as possible. This is why lines move as a bet becomes lopsided. A lot of novice bettors may not understand that either.

Here are where the sportsbooks picked the NBA teams over/under season win totals and how many wins each NBA team had this season.

Sweetbob’s Fantasy Baseball F/M/K – April 15th

We are just over two weeks into the 2018 baseball season.

You’re just starting to really get your lineup dialed in, but recent injuries probably threw a wrench into things. Middle infielders will start to be scarce on the waiver wire if they keep getting injured at this rate. Recent injuries to Rougned Odor, Jonathan Schoop and Elvis Andrus have left fantasy owners hurting for solid replacements.

We look at some players who started out hot, some who are struggling and maybe some guys who should be targeted in your free agent pool on April 15th, 2018.

I’ll be posting a weekly fantasy baseball F/M/K every Sunday this baseball season…so keep coming back!

Best Outdoor (Non-Team) Sports For Men

Sports are not only a great way to stay fit and healthy, and in good shape, they can also make great hobbies and be a fantastic way to make new friends. Studies have shown that it’s important that you have hobbies in your life – doing so can enrich your health and well-being in a significant way.

While a lot of men choose to take up team sports to stay healthy, these sports aren’t always ideal for everyone as to take part you have to be available at specific times for training and matches each week. Whereas, if you take up a non-team sport, you can choose when and where you do it.

Bearing that in mind, below is a list of some of the best outdoor sports for men (and why).

50 Unbelievable Photos of Andre the Giant

Every time I see a photo of the great Andre the Giant, I just stare at it. My eyes go from one side of the picture to the other and just wonder what it would have been like to be him back in his day.

Andre the Giant was born in France as Andre Roussimoff. He was always listed as being from ‘Grenoble in the French Alps’, but the new HBO documentary put that claim to rest. Grenoble was a ‘worked’ hometown as Andre was really from a town outside of Paris.

Due to Andre having acromegaly, many of his features were enlarged (especially his head, hands and feet). His pituitary gland produced too much growth hormone and many with this condition suffer from other issues that lead to a shorter than normal life expectancy.

We list some photos of Andre the Giant that you may have never seen before. We tried to picked many that were rare, as we didn’t see many of these before we did a deep dive to find some new pictures of Andre the Giant.

Three Americans to keep close in 2018 US Open betting

Patrick Reed turned in a confident final day at Augusta to win the 2018 Masters and his first major title. The popular 27-year-old Texan kept fellow countrymen Jordan Spieth and Rickie Fowler at arm’s length to etch his name on the historic trophy and experts predict it’ll be the first of many.

With the Masters results now in the books for another year, followers of golf turn their attention to the upcoming US Open and the world’s best tee off at Shinnecock Hills, New York between 14th and 17th June. Brooks Koepka won the title last year and recent form would suggest that American dominance of the sport is set to continue.

There’s a host of offers on the year’s biggest events over at Timeform and below you’ll find three players bookmakers expect to challenge for the US Open…

Review: Wrestlemania 34

After last year’s Wrestlemania 33, a marathon of mediocrity, I didn’t have high expectations for Wrestlemania 34.

The previous night’s NXT Takeover: New Orleans show was one of the best overall shows WWE has ever produced, so I came into this year’s Mania with some apprehension.

Why was I a bit weary about this Mania?

First off, I knew it was going to be a seven-hour show (if you include the pre-show) and I didn’t want to hold Wrestlemania up to the high standard of the NXT Takeover events. It should be the opposite as NXT guys are still learning to wrestle ‘WWE style’ and the main roster guys should be the ones blowing the roof off at shows.

Did Wrestlemania 34 disappoint or did it rank among the best Wrestlemania shows of all-time?

Sweetbob’s Fantasy Baseball F/M/K – April 8th

We are just a little over a week into the 2018 baseball season. You are still trying to figure out your lineup. If you’re a streaming-heavy guy, figuring out which guy you should drop to free up a streaming spot can be an issue.

We look at some players who started out hot, some who are struggling and maybe some guys who should be targeted in your free agent pool on April 8th, 2018.

I’ll be posting a weekly fantasy baseball F/M/K every Sunday this baseball season…so keep coming back!

Before I begin, let’s go over the F/M/K terminology. The guys that I list under “F*ck” are guys that are currently hot and you need to pick them up. “Marry”, are guys that you need to stick with the whole season, even if they are struggling a bit. “Kill”, are guys that need to be dropped for better players in the free agent pool.

Review: NXT Takeover: New Orleans

I’ve been reviewing the last few NXT Takeover shows because they have been better than the ‘real’ WWE pay-per-view shows that followed it…and NXT Takeover: New Orleans will most likely be better than Wrestlemania 34.

There hasn’t been a bad NXT Takeover. It’s an impressive streak as they have been putting on four or five of them a year for the last four years. This Takeover may have been the best one yet.

We knew going in that this could possibly be one of the best Takeovers in history as the card was stacked. There were strong storylines and we all knew the six-way ladder match for the new North American Championship was going to be exciting as well.

What are the Playoff Expections for the Indiana Pacers?

The Indiana Pacers come into the weekend winners of six of their last seven games. They have three games left to play in the regular season and can be no worse than the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs.

As the Pacers surge towards the postseason, the same could be said for the Cleveland Cavaliers and Philadelphia 76ers. The Cavs have won nine of their last ten games and the Sixers have won twelve-straight games. Even though the Pacers have been playing great, they have barely kept up with them. They still have a shot at the third or fourth seed if either team loses the next two or three of their remaining games.

Sportsbooks currently have the Pacers odds of winning the Eastern Conference at 50 to 1 and even longer odds of 175 to 1 of winning their first NBA Championship.

What Should the UFC do with Conor McGregor?

Conor McGregor is on a rampage.

Every since his boxing match against Floyd Mayweather, the man has been out of his mind. He may have pissed off the Irish Mafia in the process. I guess when you have a couple hundred million in the bank, you let loose a little (or a lot)).

On Thursday, McGregor and his entourage gained access to the backstage area of the Barclays Center while the fighters on UFC 223 were in vans and buses. McGregor (and his entourage) allegedly threw a metal dolly through a van window and either successfully, or at least attempted, to throw other objects like large metal bike racks.

Let’s Rank Every Wrestlemania Ever!

Wrestlemania is arguably the biggest wrestling event of the year. The WWE goes all-out and tries to give their fans the most exciting show of the year…although not every Wrestlemania is equal.

Let’s face it, the storylines can’t be there every single year. They try to make everything seem larger than life, but sometimes things don’t line up perfectly as they would hope.

Ranking every Wrestlemania ever can be a lofty task as some years the margin is razor-thin and comes down to personal preference. We do our best and feel free to comment where you would rank various Wrestlemanias…but please, please be gentle.
