2021 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 3

How is your team holding up so far this year?

If your quarterback struggles early in the season, how soon can you press the panic button?

It’s clearly a case-by-case basis, but it could be time to move on from Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa or Colts QB Carson Wentz. Tua is now banged up and Wentz’s chances of a bounce-back year is slipping now with a pair of injured ankles.

A few quarterbacks suffered some major injuries last week. Some will miss time, but most will play, albeit hobbled.

2021 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 2

I hope you had a successful start to the fantasy football season.

I made some solid overall calls in Week 1, but I did whiff big on Saints QB Jameis Winston. I didn’t expect that output against the Packers.

There were only a couple injuries in Week 1 that will have lasting effects in fantasy. RB Raheem Mostert (knee) and Footballers QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (hip) will be out for the foreseeable future.

2021 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 1

It’s finally time for the start of the National Football League season.

The NFL added a regular season game this year, so your fantasy football league playoff format could have changed.

It appears that we will see some of the rookie quarterbacks starting in Week 1. It’s a sure thing that Trevor Lawrence and Mac Jones will start and it wouldn’t surprise me if one or two other rookie QBs end up in a game this week.

2020 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 9

The U.S. elections are taking place and it might be easy to forget to set your lineup this week, especially if some of these races creep into Thursday.

The teams off this week are the Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Bengals, Los Angeles Rams and Philadelphia Eagles.

You could be needing to replace some important pieces on your fantasy team with QB Baker Mayfield, QB Joe Burrow and the Los Angeles Rams defense on bye.

2020 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 8

It doesn’t look like we are in line for any COVID cancellations, but it is only mid-week. We have 14 games on the schedule with four teams on bye.

The teams off this week are the Houston Texans, Arizona Cardinals, Jacksonville Jaguars and Washington Football Team.

You could be needing to replace some important pieces on your fantasy team with Cardinals QB Kyler Murray & WR DeAndre Hopkins and Texans QB Deshaun Watson on bye.

How will Niners QB Jimmy Garoppolo fare against against the Seahawks?

2020 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 6

COVID-19 continues to be a challenge, but the NFL has been able to move games around so far. One game was cancelled last week and one was moved to Tuesday. Let’s hope this outbreak calms down since delaying games and moving games around will be more difficult later in the year.

We have a pretty good marquee game that will pit Packers QB Aaron Rodgers against Bucs QB Tom Brady. They haven’t played each other a ton in their careers, so it’s nice to see at least one more meeting before one of them call it quits.

There’s no Thursday night games this week, so you can take a couple extra days to tinker with your lineup.

2020 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 5

This will be the first time we see bye weeks this season…well, a bye week that was planned before the season started.

The Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions are both out this week. You may need to figure out a replacement for QBs Aaron Rodgers & Matthew Stafford or RBs Aaron Jones & Adrian Peterson.

We are seeing more scoring this season than we have since the NFL/AFL merger. This could be due to some horrible pass defense from Dallas, Seattle, Atlanta and Houston. Is it too late in the season for any of these teams to fix this issue?

Will the Cowboys pass defense fare well against Giants QB Daniel Jones?

We saw some new, young faces make a name for themselves last week. A few rookie wide receivers lead that list with Vikings rookie WR Justin Jefferson catching seven balls for 175 yards and a touchdown.

Texans QB Deshaun Watson started the season out against the Chiefs, Ravens and Steelers…can you name three worse teams to face to begin a season? Can he reverse course against the Vikings?

Will Bucs QB Tom Brady have a big game against the Chargers?

2020 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 3

There were so many injuries to top players last week. Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey, Giants RB Saquon Barkley, Broncos WR Courtland Sutton & QB Drew Lock and Niners DE Nick Bosa will all miss considerable time. A few of those will miss the entire season due to injuries. The waiver wire will be busy this week.

Colts rookie RB Jonathan Taylor appeared to jump to the top of the depth chart with his breakout performance against the Vikings last week. Can he find the same success against the Jets?

Will we see another breakout game from one of the long list of backups starting this week?

Since we didn’t have any preseason games, we really had to watch the Week 1 games to really see the rank and file of all the players. We now know where some of these players fall in their teams offensive plans. There are a few former elite players that may find themselves on the waiver wire soon.

What is fantasy football?

You choose your league and your players, then set your lineup each week. Your team’s success will come down to the real-life performance of the players you choose, so pick your team wisely. Although the original fantasy football game was invented in the UK over 45 years ago it has since evolved to encompass a wide number of games all over the globe, including NFL, and has been made ever more interactive thanks to the powers of the internet.
