2016 NFL Week 2 – Betting Picks Against Spread

funny-nfl-picks-against-the-spread-week-2-2016-americas-white-boyI didn’t start off the year very well. I stuck my neck out and made some risky picks for large point spread covers. None of the larger point spreads covers hit and I was left with a 6-8-2 record on the week.

I gained a lot of knowledge from last week’s games. There are still a lot of question marks this week, but don’t get stuck in some of the team trends from last season. It’s a new season and teams are fresh (and a little rusty). A team may make adjustments and be much better this week.

There can be a lot of value in Week 2 point spreads. The public tends to take a little too much stock in what they saw in the first week. Preseason team rankings will come in handy this week, since a lot of losing teams will bounce back end up 1-1 after this week.

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 2 of the 2016 NFL season.

2016 NFL Week 1 – Betting Picks Against Spread

funny-2016-americas-white-boy-picks-sgainst-spread-nfl-gambling-kitty-cat-photoI can’t believe the wait is almost over! NFL season begins on Thursday and I will be glued to the couch all weekend watching football games. It will be glorious.

I’ve went 414-311-28 combined in the past three years picking NFL games against the spread. I’ve been posting my picks for the last six or sevenyears, but really only kept a running total in recent years.

Week 1 is a tricky betting week. You can watch all the preseason football games you want and never get a feel for what the team will look like in their first regular season game.

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 1 of the 2016 NFL season.

2015 NFL Week 11 – Betting Picks Against Spread

tony romo dallas cowboys america's white boy against the spread NFL picks funny weirdA lot of change is happening this week. There are a lot of new faces starting at quarterback, so betting lines have been quite fluid this week.

I went 8-5 last week against the spread. I bounced back from a rough outing and hit on some nice moneylines. The underdogs put me well ahead for the week. I did miss on my Giants moneyline play, but I felt good that it nearly paid out.

New England appears to be as vulnerable as ever with the loss of wide receiver Julian Edelman. Can Buffalo end their bid for a perfect season?

I went 5-8 last week against the spread. It was my first week this season that I was under .500 picking NFL games against the spread. Who the hell thought Blaine Gabbert would win an NFL game as a starting quarterback?

Can the New York Giants play the role of the party pooper once again and end New England’s perfect season?

2015 NFL Week 9 – Betting Picks Against Spread

Blaine-Gabbert-funny-ninersI started out missing last week’s Thursday game, but then didn’t miss on a single early Sunday game. I actually came out on the right side of a half-point outcome.

I went 9-3-1 against the spread last week. I even hit on underdog moneylines with Oakland and Cincinnati. They weren’t huge payouts, but it was icing on a strong week of picks.

Sunday afternoon may end up being Peyton Manning’s last game in Indianapolis. Will he cover?

2015 NFL Week 5 – Betting Picks Against Spread

Week 4 seemed a bit early to start worrying about major injuries to key players. We wrote last week’s article on Thursday morning and things changed so much from then until Sunday morning.

I went 7-5-1 last week against the spread. I pulled two games off the board due to last-minute injury substitutions. Sportsbooks adjusted the lines too late in the week after Hasselbeck started for the Colts and Brees started for the Saints.

A few players are returning from injuries and suspensions this week. Andrew Luck appears to be ready to start on Thursday, but is it too early? Also, thankfully we don’t have a London game this week, so we can all sleep in on Sunday.

2015 NFL Week 3 – Betting Picks Against Spread

weird strange funny NFL picks week 3 2015 America's White Boy sports bettingWeek 2 was rough on many sports bettors across the world. It’s tough to go against how you thought a team would perform so far this season. You can’t completely ditch a team, but you still need to be focus on how a team has performed so far. Week 3 is a rubber week and you can find a lot of value.

I went 8-8 last week against the spread. I missed on some early games, but redeemed myself with a few moneyline plays. I may have finished .500, but I was still in the money.

I would have never thought Philadelphia, Seattle and Indianapolis would all be winless. They could all be undervalued this week…well, two of three teams.

NFL Divisional Sleepers to Watch and Wager

buffalo bills rex ryan nfl sleeper division gambling handicappingThe NFL preseason is giving handicappers their first glimpse of the league’s landscape in 2015. And while exhibition results should be taken with a grain of salt, it’s never too early to start thinking ahead to divisional races – especially when considering NFL division futures. Here are three sleepers to keep in mind when sports betting handicapping who could shock their way to the top this season:

Minnesota Vikings (+700 to win NFC North)

Adrian Peterson’s return instantly makes the Vikings offense a threat, something that just wasn’t there in 2014. Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater looked good at the end of the year and the franchise rewarded him with a brand new toy in WR Mike Wallace. This is Year 2 under head coach Mike Zimmer, who injected his intensity into a defense that limited opponents to 21.4 points per game – 11th best in the NFL. The road to the NFC North crown goes through Green Bay, but don’t count out the resurgent Vikings.

2015 NFL Team Preview: Buffalo Bills

weird funny Rex Ryan Buffalo Bills 2015 NFL team previewRex Ryan is the new sheriff in town. He has experience in the AFC East and it will be an interesting season, especially when he faces the New York Jets, twice.

There are a lot of new faces that followed Ryan to Buffalo. They made some trades and signed some good players for his system. The most important acquisition was the trade that netted them former Pro Bowl running back LeSean McCoy.

The AFC East is expected to be a fun race for the division. The Patriots are always the favorite until a team knocks them off. The Dolphins looked to be improved across the board and Buffalo should keep the race tight. We will omit the Jets from this discussion.

Are the Bills Mafia happy with Matt Cassel as their starting quarterback?

Here is the 2015 NFL team preview for the Buffalo Bills.

Early NFL Win Total Predictions by Mybookie.ag

Andew Luck 2015 Indianapolis Colts NFL funny weirdI know a lot can happen between now and the start of the 2015 NFL season, but it’s never too early to find out all the NFL odds for the next season. NFL training camps open in just two weeks!

The NFL transactions page has been on silent mode lately, but it will ramp up closer to the start of camp. Just keep an eye on that page for big roster changes.

There has been a lot of movement already this offseason, so nearly all the pieces are in place for most teams.

I’m going to look at a few teams’ over/under regular season win totals. A few of the bets are no-brainers and I give a long shot bet prediction that could pay out well if everything goes right.

Is New England a smart play now, even though a ruling hasn’t came down on Tom Brady’s suspension appeal?

2014 NFL Week 12 – Betting Picks Against Spread

Legalize Josh Gordon Cleveland Browns funny tshirt NFL weed marijuanaThe stars aligned last week and I went 9-4-1. I felt confident and knew I would do pretty well. I now sit at 83-74-3 with my NFL picks against the spread this season.

There are some potential blowouts on the schedule this week. I wish that wasn’t the case. I get no fun out of betting double-digit points spreads. I’d rather not root for a boring game.

I had a decent year betting against the spread in the NFL last season (133-95-10). Any year you hit nearly 60% of the NFL games against the spread is a damn good year. Let’s hope my win percentage is near that this season.

We pick every NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 12 of the 2014 NFL season.

2012 NFL Team Preview: Buffalo Bills

At one point in 2011, the Bills were 5-2 and looked like a surprise playoff team. They finished the season by dropping eight of their last nine games. A 6-10 record was beside their name at the end of the year. What happened?

During the last nine games of the season, quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick had a TD/INT ratio of 10/16. They couldn’t keep the ball and their defense gave up 32 points per game. The loss of Fred Jackson due to injury made their offense look even worse.

Is Jackson and C.J. Spiller ready to be a top-tier rushing attack? Can Fitzpatrick rebound from a poor second-half?

Here’s our 2012 NFL team preview for the Buffalo Bills.

2011 Win/Loss Record: 6-10

Key Additions: DE Mario Williams, DE Mark Anderson, QB Vince Young, WR Stephon Gilmore, OT Cordy Glenn and WR T.J. Graham.

Key Losses: WR Roscoe Parrish, CB Drayton Florence, OT Demetress Bell, CB Reggie Corner and K Brandon Coutu.

Non-Division Schedule: AFC South and NFC West

Fantasy Sleeper: WR Naaman Roosevelt – Buffalo’s wide receiver corps is an improved group. Stevie Johnson and David Nelson are the leaders, but after them it is unknown who the #3 or #4 receivers will be when the season begins. Naaman Roosevelt, Brad Smith, Stephon Gilmore and Ruvell Martin will battle for those two spots. Roosevelt is a local fan favorite since he was born in Buffalo and went to college there. Fitzpatrick has the green light to air it out and he will spread the ball around.

Team Analysis: Fitzpatrick has an entire off-season to work with his receiving corps (something he didn’t have last season), it will make a difference. He had some new faces last year and when the defenses started to catch up to their passing attack, they didn’t have any answers. Jackson and Spiller will be a dynamic rushing attack this year. Both running backs have excellent hands, so Fitzpatrick will have two safety nets during his check-downs. Buffalo’s Mario Williams signing was the biggest surprise this off-season. They struggled getting to the quarterback last year and with Williams and Mark Anderson coming in, that facet will improve drastically. They lost Parrish on special teams, but rookie Gilmore could be a punt/kickoff return star. The Bills learned a lot last season from the ups and downs. They will flip their 6-10 record and be a playoff contender in 2012.

2012 Wins Over/Under Line: 7.5 (Prediction: OVER)

2012 Projected Win/Loss Record: 10-6
