2021 NCAA Football – Week 10 Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 10-15 against the spread last week.

I was coming off one of my best weeks ever and last week took a chunk of those winnings.

College football games can become pretty crazy when the weather starts to get sloppy. We are definitely in that season and I expect the betting lines to be more difficult going forward.

I expect the Michigan State vs. Purdue game to be a fun watch. Purdue is playing better of late and the Spartans are coming off a huge win against Michigan.

We at ‘America’s White Boy’ pick 25 college football games against the spread in Week 10 of the 2021-22 NCAA Football season (November 6th, 2021).

Kansas State at Kansas (+24) – My pick is Kansas State Wildcats

Kansas State is 5-3 outright and 4-3-1 against the spread. They are coming off a 31-12 home win over TCU. The Horned Frogs fired their head coach after the loss. Kansas State are a much better team with QB Skylar Thompson back healthy. Kansas is 1-7 outright and against the spread. They are coming off a 55-3 road loss to Oklahoma State. The Jayhawks are awful and have only beaten a FCS team this year. Kansas State should cover this game on the road.

Wake Forest at North Carolina (-2.5) – My pick is Wake Forest Demon Deacons

Wake Forest is 8-0 outright and 4-4 against the spread. They are coming off a 45-7 home win against Duke. The Demon Deacons are one of the biggest surprises in college football. I thought they were a borderline bowl team coming into the season and here they are currently unbeaten. UNC is 4-4 outright and 3-5 against the spread. They are coming off a 44-34 road loss to Notre Dame. Tar Heels QB Sam Howell had a great game, but his defense is bad this year. Wake Forest have won some shootouts this season and this will be another. I’m taking the points in this game.

Auburn at Texas A&M (-4.5) – My pick is Texas A&M Aggies

Auburn is 6-2 outright and 5-3 against the spread. They are coming off a 31-20 home win against Ole Miss. As long as QB Bo Nix is careful with the ball, Auburn can beat just about any SEC team, any given Saturday. Texas A&M is 6-2 outright and 5-3 against the spread this season. They are coming off a 44-14 home win over South Carolina. The Aggies running game has been great in their last two games. They should be able to run the ball well against Auburn. Also, the Aggies pass defense should cause problems for Nix. I’m taking Texas A&M to cover at home.

Wisconsin at Rutgers (+13) – My pick is Wisconsin Badgers

Wisconsin is 5-3 outright and 4-4 against the spread. They are coming off an 27-7 upset home win against Iowa. Ever since Wisconsin went to a run-first offense, they’ve been amazing. Rutgers is 4-4 outright and 5-3 against the spread. They are coming off a 20-14 road win against Illinois. The Scarlet Knights are an improved team under head coach Greg Schiano, but they are far from competing against the better Big Ten teams. Rutgers run defense is below average and Wisconsin should fare well against it. I’m taking the Badgers to cover on the road.

Michigan State at Purdue (+3) – My pick is Purdue Boilermakers

Michigan State is 8-0 outright and 6-0-2 against the spread. They are coming off a 37-33 home win against Michigan. The Spartans were able to run the ball with great success against Michigan. MSU RB Kenneth Walker III had a hell of a game with five rushing touchdowns. Purdue is 5-3 outright and 4-4 against the spread. They are coming off a 28-23 road win against Nebraska. Purdue QB Aidan O’Connell has finally entrenched himself as the the starting quarterback. He should be able to pass against the weak Michigan State secondary. The Spartans haven’t faced many good passing teams, so this is a real test for them. I’m going with the upset here and I’m taking Purdue.

Tennessee at Kentucky (-1) – My pick is Kentucky Wildcats

Tennessee is 4-4 outright and 3-5 against the spread. The Volunteers are coming off their bye week, and in their previous game, they lost to Alabama 52-24. Tennessee needs huge games from QB Hendon Hooker to hang with the better teams in the SEC. Kentucky is 6-2 outright and against the spread this season. They are coming off a 31-17 road loss to Mississippi State. It was the second loss in-a-row for the Wildcats. Their offense just hit a wall and couldn’t run the ball. I’m betting that Kentucky will right the ship and cover this game at home.

Texas at Iowa State (-6.5) – My pick is Texas Longhorns

Texas is 4-4 outright and against the spread this season. They are coming off a 31-24 road loss to Baylor last week. It was the third game in-a-row that Texas lost after having a double-digit lead in the second-half. Iowa State is 5-3 outright and 3-5 against the spread. The Cyclones haven’t been bad this year, but their defense is making it hard for QB Brock Purdy to keep up with the other team. Purdy is actually quietly having a solid year. I could see him latching onto an NFL team next season. Texas should be able to hang with Iowa State and keep this one close, so I’m taking the points.

Indiana at Michigan (-20) – My pick is Indiana Hoosiers

Indiana is 2-6 outright and against the spread this season. They are coming off a 38-35 road loss to Maryland. IU’s third-string QB Donaven McCulley honestly had the best game of any Hoosier quarterback against an FBS team this season. It wasn’t a great game, but that just shows how little they’ve gotten from that position this season. Michigan is 7-1 outright and 6-2 against the spread this season. They are coming off a 37-33 road loss to rival Michigan State. The Wolverines just couldn’t stop RB Kenneth Walker III. If the Hoosiers can mount a running game, they should be able to keep it within three touchdowns. I’m taking the points.

Clemson at Louisville (+4.5) – My pick is Louisville Cardinals

Clemson is 5-3 outright and 1-7 against the spread this season. They are coming off a 30-20 home win against Florida State. The game was closer than the final score as Clemson scored on a fumble recovery as time expired to cover the game…possibly the worst bad beat this season (if you bet on Florida State). Louisville is 4-4 outright and against the spread this season. They are coming off a 28-13 road loss to NC State. The Cardinals are an underrated team this year. They’ve hung with just about every team this season (other than Ole Miss in their opener). I think they will be able to run on Clemson and we could see an outright upset. I’m taking the points in this one.

Marshall at Florida Atlantic (+1) – My pick is Marshall Thundering Herd

This is the section where I pick a smaller conference game. Marshall is 5-3 outright and 4-4 against the spread this season. They are coming off a 38-0 home shutout win against Florida International. They’ve had back-to-back blowout wins since barely beating Old Dominion in overtime. FAU is 5-3 outright and 4-3-1 against the spread this season. They are coming off a 28-25 home win against UTEP. Florida Atlantic is a tough beat since their defense forces a lot of turnovers. If Marshall QB Grant Wells can limit his turnovers, this should be an easy cover for Marshall.
