2025 NCAA Football – Conference Championship Betting Picks vs Spread

Due to server maintenance, I was unable to post my football betting picks last week.

We have some fun match-ups in FBS conference championship games. I personally can’t wait to watch Indiana and Ohio State face off in Indianapolis. I grew up in Indiana and spent nearly a decade in Columbus, Ohio.

I assume most of the country have Georgia facing Alabama as their most anticipated game this week.

2025 NCAA Football – Week 10 Betting Picks Against Spread

In week nine of the college football season, I went 17-8 against the spread.

As we head into November, we are still seeing a lot of non-hyped, conference games on the schedule.

The SEC still has some hard-to-predict marquee matchups, like Vanderbilt at Texas. No one would have thought this game would be must-see when they scheduled it a couple years ago.

Can Indiana continue to stay perfect and beat Maryland in College Park?

2025 NCAA Football – Week 7 Betting Picks Against Spread

In week six of the college football season, I went 10-15 against the spread.

Going into the season, the Red River Shootout looked to be a can’t miss game with a pair of talented quarterbacks, John Mateer and Arch Manning, but a lot has changed since the start of the year. It’s currently unknown if Mateer will play, and Manning has been very underwhelming.

Can the Indiana Hoosiers hang with one of the best teams in the Big Ten, the Oregon Ducks?

2025 NCAA Football – Week 6 Betting Picks Against Spread

In week five of the college football season, I went 16-9 against the spread.

There are some real make-it-or-break-it type of games this week. A lot of teams need a win to potentially save their season. You have teams like Clemson and Florida, with another loss, they’d both could start the year 1-4. It would be catastrophic for their fanbases, and a coach’s seat will be getting rather toasty.

2021 NCAA Football – Week 1 Betting Picks Against Spread

College Football season is here, guys!

We didn’t get an official kickoff to the college football season last year due to all the pandemic issues. It looked like the entire season was going to be cancelled and then slowly teams started to schedule games. It’s nice to see a full slate of games to start the year.

The changes to the NCAA transfer portal has made things pretty crazy. There are a ton of new faces in new places. Oregon-transfer QB Tyler Shough has found a new home at Texas Tech. Many think he could end up being one of the top players chosen in next year’s NFL Draft. They kick off their season against the Houston Cougars.

Will Clemson cover against Georgia?

2021 NBA Draft – Best Undrafted Players

The 2021 NBA Draft is two rounds and consists of just 60 picks, so not every good college basketball player will hear his name called. Many NBA teams opt to select players with a higher upside and some of those picks are foreign players they wish to just stash overseas.

There are still some very good players left to sign, but with another short offseason, they may not get as many opportunities to get noticed as in previous years.

Milwaukee Bucks guard Bryn Forbes won an NBA title this year and he went undrafted back in 2016.

This is not the end of the road for these players. There are many undrafted players in the NBA, so a few of these guys will still make their dreams come true in the future.

2019 NCAA Football – Week 14 Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 16-9 against the spread with my college football picks last week.

This is the last week with a full slate of college football games. Next week is full of conference championship games and the yearly Army/Navy game.

Rivalry games can be tough to handicap. You can have all the data in the world, but sometimes a bad team can muster up enough big plays to defeat their hated rivals. Those are impossible to predict, but that’s the fun of rivalry week.

Can Ohio State chock up another win against the team up north?

2019 NCAA Football – Week 7 Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 13-12 against the spread with my college football picks last week.

I am really due for a big week as I’ve hovered around .500 for a few weeks in a row.

Their are two big games this weekend. Notre Dame hosts USC and Oklahoma faces Texas in the Cotton Bowl. You could even add Penn State at Iowa or Michigan State Wisconsin to the list, but I don’t see Michigan State as a potential Big Ten contender.

Will any of the top teams fall to an upset this weekend?

2019 NCAA Football – Week 3 Betting Picks Against Spread

I started off strong this year and but just went 12-12-1 against the spread last week.

The key to staying hot while betting college football game is to not get too bogged down on the last week’s games. It’s important to stick with your own personal rankings and know when to bail on a team. Well, after the first couple weeks of the season, it is about time to think about jumping off a bandwagon. There won’t be much value on teams that are perceived to be unbeatable. You may have another week or two to ride them before the value disappears.

2017 NCAA Football – Week 5 Betting Picks Against Spread

I finished around .500 last week against the spread. I had trouble in the early games, but the late games bailed me out. There were some unexpected outcomes that I thought came out of nowhere. I thought Penn State and Florida would both cover the spread easy, but Iowa and Kentucky held on tight. I did call the NC State upset over Florida State, so I scored some jellybeans from the moneyline.

A few things I took away from last week was that Georgia is better than I thought, Oklahoma State isn’t bulletproof and USC QB Sam Darnold is still in the middle of a sophomore slump.

Now that it is in the fifth week of college football. Everyone is deep in their conference schedule. A lot more empirical data to use due to more head-to-head history,

2016 NCAA Football – Week 11 Betting Picks Against Spread

I wrote last week’s college football betting picks still glowing from a Chicago Cubs World Series championship. I wrote these picks in an indifferent mood following an exhausting election cycle.

I finished 12-13 last week after betting against some large point spreads. I whiffed because many big spreads covered last week.

The best betting advice I can give someone at this point in the season is if you don’t have a good ‘feel’ for a team or have missed on a lot of bets on a certain team, abandon them. If you don’t, you’ll just be chasing your own tail trying to break even.
