76ers Unveil New Secondary Ben Franklin Logo

Philadelphia 76ers Ben Franklin secondary logo Sixers dribbling weird funny NBALook at that glorious logo!

I’m not a Logophile, but the Philadelphia 76ers unveiled a good looking logo. The NBA should go back to the goofy logos that filled the ABA.

This new Sixers logo is said to be their ‘secondary’ logo, which doesn’t mean it will appear on any official jerseys. I’m an Indiana Pacers fan, but I would consider buying some Sixers gear if this dribbling Ben Franklin logo was featured.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like the Sixers will be using this logo.

2014 NBA Mock Draft: Who Will be #1?

Joel Embiid 2014 NBA Mock Draft Cleveland CavaliersNow that the NBA season is over, let’s focus on the NBA Draft. I personally think the NBA Draft is the best draft in any major sport. There’s usually more trades, the impact of these rookies is usually felt immediately and it doesn’t go on and on like the NFL Draft.

You will begin to hear a lot of rumors about what’s wrong with these prospects. You rarely hear anything positive until a day or two before the draft. Teams know how to leak information to attempt to hurt a player’s draft stock. It’s all smoke and mirrors at this point.

I try to forge through the piles of trash out there and give you where I think the player will be drafted. I personally wouldn’t draft a few of these players in the lottery, but it’s the NBA and there are a lot of bad General Managers in the league.

Here is my 2014 NBA Mock Draft for the first round.

End Of An Era: Pacers Trade Danny Granger to 76ers

danny-granger-philadelphia-76ers-indiana-pacersToday, NBA teams were scrambling up until the final minutes to make something happen before the 3pm trade deadline. The day is always filled with hype and hopes their team can make a blockbuster trade to either stockpile draft picks or build for a playoff run…but only minor deals were made today.

The biggest trade of the day was made between the Indiana Pacers and the Philadelphia 76ers. Indiana sent former All-Star Danny Granger and a future second-round pick to Philly for former Ohio State standout Evan Turner and backup power forward Lavoy Allen.

This marks an end of an era for the Indiana Pacers. Granger has been with Indiana since he was drafted in 2005. He was the face of the franchise after Reggie Miller retired that same year. I think his biggest accomplishment is that he survived the Jim O’Brien head coaching era (that was brutal).

How will Evan Turner be used in the Pacers rotation? What does this mean for Lance Stephenson’s impending free agency?
