2014 NCAA Football – Week 10 Betting Picks Against Spread

I felt pretty good about going 11-8-1 last week. I called a few nice upsets and missed a couple by a single point. My glaring mistake was picking against TCU (oops). My record is now 85-71-3 on the season.

I haven’t heard much about the weather being a huge issue this weekend. It is supposed to be the 40’s in the Midwest, so if any Southern teams have to do some traveling, it could be a shock to their system, but it’s nothing that would deter production.

We were 134-79-8 against the spread betting on college football games last season. We hope to keep it going and help you guys out again this season.

We pick against the spread for all the big college football games on Saturday (November 1st, 2014), and picked some smaller conference games as well. Enjoy!

2014 NCAA Football – Week 7 Betting Picks Against Spread

Week 6 was insane. I was glad to come out of that week alive with an 11-9 record. I am now currently 53-44-2 on the season.

After many of the top teams were beaten, you should be able to find some favorable lines. Good teams can have a bad week. It’s our job to try to figure out if a team just had a hiccup or if they were exposed.

After this week, you should have a better idea which teams are legit. Many of the top teams face each other again, so after the dust settles, we should know which SEC and Pac-12 teams are contenders.

2014 NCAA Football – Week 4 Betting Picks Against Spread

Last week’s slate of games was full of nailbiters and complete surprises (see: East Carolina). I ended up going 9-11 putting my season record at 18-21-1. I’ve taken some risks so far, but I am putting the reset button my betting strategy this season. I haven’t put much emphasis on home teams and I had to re-evaluate the Big Ten. I valued them higher than I should have the first few weeks.

I went heavy on home teams and I feel great about my betting picks against the spread for Week 4 of the 2014 college football season.

2014 NCAA Football – Week 3 Betting Picks Against Spread

Week 2 of the college football season was very hit or miss. Many of the large spreads missed by a point or two and the Big Ten failed in grand fashion. I ended up going 9-10-1 on the week and I don’t feel bad about it. I know a lot of people who went heavy on the Big Ten and took a big loss. Lucky for us, there are actually a few favorable Big Ten point spreads this week.

You now have a (little) better idea of how a team may perform this season…even if they’ve only faced small conference teams.

2014 NCAA Football – Week 2 Betting Picks Against Spread

If you were wondering why I didn’t write a post picking college football games against the spread last week, here’s the reason why…I never bet Week 1 in college football. I find it almost pointless. You don’t know much about the teams because you just hear what amounts to propaganda. I find no joy in betting a 50-point spread.

I start my college football betting in Week 2. You still have some horrible lines and many teams in the power conferences don’t even have betting lines. You at least have a better idea of how a team may perform this season. I just hate going into the season blind. You at least have the preseason in the NFL to look at what you’re ‘buying’.

We were 134-79-8 against the spread betting on college football games last season. We hope to keep it going and help you guys out again this season.

We pick against the spread for all the big college football games on Saturday, plus a few smaller conference games as always…and a Thursday night game. Enjoy!

2014 March Madness: #7 Oregon vs #10 BYU

Tyler Haws BYU Cougars 2014 NCAA TournamentWe are picking every NCAA Tournament game in an effort to help you fill out your bracket and win your office pool.

Oregon had a rocky start to the Pac 12 portion of their schedule. They had some bad losses, but redeemed themselves with wins at UCLA and against Arizona.

BYU has third highest-scoring offense in college basketball. Their non-conference schedule went pretty rough, but settled down once they starting playing West Coast Conference games. Many ‘bracketologists’ had them as one of the last four teams to get in. As a #10 seed that clearly was not the case.

Who do you think will win? We help you fill out your bracket.

2013-14 College Football: Bowl Schedule

BCS-Rankings-LogoWe all know Florida State will meet Auburn in the BCS National Championship game, but now the rest of the bowl schedule is also finalized.

We list the teams playing in each bowl game, what time each game is on and which channel you can find it. It’s no surprise that ESPN carries most of the bowl games.

We also list the handful of bowl-eligible teams that did not receive a bowl bid.

Where did Oregon, Oklahoma State, Ohio State and Alabama fall after late-season losses?

Could Auburn Leapfrog Ohio State In BCS?

Auburn-Alabama-SEC-Upset-2013Auburn just had one of the most improbable last-second victories over a #1 ranked team in college football history. Is that enough hyperbole for you?

Auburn ran back an Alabama missed field goal 100+ yards as time expired to win the game. They now find themselves in the SEC Championship title game next week.

Earlier in the day, Florida State easily beat Florida and Ohio State squeaked by Michigan. As it stands right now, those two teams would be playing in the BCS Championship game in Pasadena, California.

The ACC and Big Ten are two of the weakest BCS conferences this year. So, are we really going to see a Florida State/Ohio State BCS Championship game?

If Auburn and Ohio State both win next week, could Auburn leapfrog Ohio State in the BCS Standings?

2013 NCAA Football – Week 14 Betting Picks Against Spread

Katherine-Webb-Auburn-AlabamaI went 13-6-1 with my picks against the spread last week. I am now 124-71-8 on the season. At this point in the season, I’m completely running on Pumpkin Pie and McRibs (not at the same time). I’m feeling great about the season and have a nice feel for what teams will do on Thanksgiving weekend.

I like a lot of home teams in Week 14 of the 2013 college football season (November 30th to be exact). Rivalry games fill the slate of games this weekend. This is the most anticipated weekend in college football. The outcomes of Auburn/Alabama, Ohio State/Michigan and Florida/Florida State will further paint what the BCS Championship game may look like. If you’re not excited about this weekend’s games, you’re not a college football fan.

We pick against the spread for all the big college football games on Saturday, plus a few games in the MAC and American Athletic Conference as always…and a Thursday night game. Enjoy! Continue reading

2013-14 College Football: Bowl Projections [UPDATED]

BCS Coaches Trophy 2013 NCAA College FootballWell, yesterday’s games really put a wrench all bowl projections written last week. Baylor, Oregon and Texas A&M’s losses rearranged a half dozen bowl games and moved Arizona State, Oklahoma State and Missouri up a few spots.

There are 35 bowl games this year, so 70 spots are up for grabs. Not every team that wins six games will play in a bowl game. As of today, 66 teams are already eligible, with most teams still one regular season game left.

We project the teams that will play in all 35 bowl games this year as of November 24th, 2013. Many bowl games are shaping up to be fun to watch…but a few bowls are looking bad, really bad.

We can’t wait to pick these games against the spread…that will come much later.

2013-14 College Football: Bowl Projections

PrintWe are in the homestretch of the college football regular season. Some teams are still in the hunt for a national championship, but most are just playing to get in a prime bowl game…or trying to earn a sixth win to just be bowl-eligible.

2013 NCAA Football – Week 11 Betting Picks Against Spread

Oregon-Ducks-Cheerleaders-2013Thanks to Michigan, Miami and Texas Tech, I had a .500 week. I’m still 82-54-7 on the season, which is much better than many of my sports betting friends.

I like a lot of favorites in Week 11 of the 2013 college football season (November 9th to be exact). I usually find value in underdogs at this point in the season, but the slate of games this weekend doesn’t fair well for those teams.

When making a bet at this point in the season, look to see if any teams played a common opponent. Also, keep an eye on weather reports. The temps are falling across the Midwest, so that could be a factor when a warm-weather team travels.

We pick against the spread for all the big college football games on Saturday, plus a few games in the MAC and American Athletic Conference as always…we also sneak in TWO Thursday night games . Enjoy!
