2018 NCAA Football – Week 11 Betting Picks Against Spread

I finished 15-9-1 against the spread last week.

The college football playoff picture is more in focus after some big games last week. Georgia is basically on their way to the SEC Championship game after beating Kentucky. Also, Alabama made a huge statement in their shutout win against LSU.

There are some big Big Ten games this week with both Penn State and Ohio State having big games that could alter the conference title game picture.

We at ‘America’s White Boy’ pick 25 college football games against the spread in Week 11 of the 2018-19 NCAA Football season (November, 10th, 2018). We also pick some smaller conference games.

2018 NCAA Football – Week 5 Betting Picks Against Spread

I finished under .500 last weekend, but came out even after hitting on two upset moneyline plays.

It’s time to really adjust your rankings. Teams are now all in conference play and it’s important to remember non-conference game performance.

Also, it’s important to note that you can’t just look at a team’s past performance against a conference foe. There is a ton of data out there, but a lot of it is bad data. The turnover rate is too high in college football and most teams will not have certain impact players still at their school.

There are some traditional marquee games this weekend, like Ohio State at Penn State and Stanford at Notre Dame that should be fun television.

We at ‘America’s White Boy’ pick 25 college football games against the spread in Week 5 of the 2018-19 NCAA Football season (September 29th, 2018). We also pick some smaller conference games.

‘America’s White Boy’ 2018 NBA Mock Draft

The 2018 NBA Draft is top-heavy, but there is a plethora of two-guards that could be had late in the first round that are good enough to be stick around in the league for many years.

This year’s draft takes place next week on June 21st, but it looks like the first pick in the draft is already off the board. The Phoenix Suns is expected to draft Arizona Wildcats center DeAndre Ayton. Many thought Slovenian star Luka Doncic or Duke’s Marvin Bagley III would have been the first off the board.

The NBA draft pool this year is full of players who made a name for themselves in the NCAA Tournament. Villanova could have as many as four players taken in the first round.

Here is the ‘America’s White Boy’ 2018 NBA Mock Draft.

2018 March Madness: #5 Kentucky vs #12 Davidson

This is an interesting match-up. The team that comes out of this contest alive will be a tough out in this NCAA Tournament.

Kentucky missed out on a lot of the five-star recruits this past recruiting season, but they still managed to suit up a very good team. They are young and inconsistent at times, but they are long and can disrupt inside-scoring attempts.

Davidson was a long-shot to receive an at-large big and needed to win the Atlantic 10 Tournament. They cemented their spot by beating St. Bonaventure and Rhode Island on back-to-back days. Can they keep the upset train rolling?

Who do you think will win?

Do you have #5 Kentucky Wildcats or #12 Davidson Wildcats?

2017 NCAA Football – Week 3 Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 17-6-2 last week against the spread. I felt pretty good about my picks going into the weekend and even hit on some I waited on and didn’t add to my picks last week. A few lines moved in the right direction and I put a few jellybeans on them last minute on Saturday.

I usually do well during Week 2 of the college football season. You have to know when to pivot away from a team or to keep riding a team that lost in Week 1.

I believe Week 3 is one of the most difficult betting weeks. You have two weeks of data, but half of that data is bad data. You can’t really use the data from a game against Gardner-Webb the same as data against other FBS teams. Since a lot of teams have played at least one ‘gimme game’, there’s a lot of bad information out there that you should just completely ignore.

We at ‘America’s White Boy’ pick 25 college football games against the spread in Week 3 of the NCAA Football season (September 16th, 2017). We also focus on small conference games…our bread and butter!

2017 NBA Draft – Best Undrafted Players

The NBA Draft is only two rounds and consists of a total of 60 picks, so not every good college basketball player will hear his name called during the NBA Draft.

There are still some very good players left to either sign for an NBA team’s Summer League spot in hopes of catching on with a team. Most will probably end up in the Gatorade League (former D-League) or play overseas.

I’m sure people who love ‘their team’ always wonder why the star of their team didn’t even play a single minute in the NBA.

The Draft is a tricky thing. There are only two rounds, so a lot of teams teams draft for need. There are also teams who draft people overseas to stash for a couple years.

This is not the end of the road for these players. There are many undrafted players in the NBA, so a few of these guys will still make their dreams come true in the future.

‘America’s White Boy’ 2017 NBA Mock Draft

Markelle Fultz Lonzo Ball NBA Mock Draft 2017Just like we did for the NFL Draft, we are here to release our 2017 NBA Mock Draft.

A lot can change before June 22nd. Many expect the Celtics and Lakers to get plenty of calls until then. The biggest possible trade that could happen could be the Pacers trading Paul George to the Celtics for a large package of prospects and the #1 overall pick. Will it happen? I’d say there’s only about a 20% chance right now.

Here is the ‘America’s White Boy’ 2017 NBA Mock Draft.

1. Boston Celtics – Markelle Fultz – PG – Washington Huskies – Fultz is the consensus best player in the draft. Even though Washington was a bad team last year, it should bring up too many red flags. In baseball, they call a prospect that can do everything a ‘five-tool player’…and Fultz is the equivalent in basketball. He has hops, he can shoot, he is very good defensively and has the size for his position. It will be interesting to see how he will play with Isaiah Thomas, but it can be done. This pick is very desirable, so I wouldn’t be surprised if Boston gets a mother lode for it if they trade it.

2016 NCAA Football – Week 13 Betting Picks Against Spread

americas-white-boy-college-football-betting-picks-against-the-spread-week-13-ohio-state-buckeyes-cheerleaders-ncaaI started to second-guess my decision to increase my picks to 25 games, but I went 19-6 last week. The weather helped my picks since many games in the Midwest had gusting wind.

This is a huge rivalry week across the country. There are rivalry games like Michigan/Ohio State and Washington/Washington State that will factor in who will appear in conference championship games. The OSU/Michigan game will help weed out the logjam at the top in the College Football Playoff rankings.

This week’s schedule has a lot of large point spreads, but I still see value across the board.

We at ‘America’s White Boy’ pick against the spread for all the big college football games on Saturday (November 26th, 2016) and a few Friday games. We also pick five extra games as a bonus.

2016 NCAA Football – Week 11 Betting Picks Against Spread

americas-white-boy-college-football-betting-picks-against-the-spread-week-11-washington-huskies-cheerleaders-ncaaI wrote last week’s college football betting picks still glowing from a Chicago Cubs World Series championship. I wrote these picks in an indifferent mood following an exhausting election cycle.

I finished 12-13 last week after betting against some large point spreads. I whiffed because many big spreads covered last week.

The best betting advice I can give someone at this point in the season is if you don’t have a good ‘feel’ for a team or have missed on a lot of bets on a certain team, abandon them. If you don’t, you’ll just be chasing your own tail trying to break even.

We at ‘America’s White Boy’ pick against the spread for all the big college football games on Saturday (November 12th, 2016) and a few Thursday games. We also pick five extra games as a bonus.

2016 NCAA Football – Week 9 Betting Picks Against Spread

west-virginia-cheerleaderI went 15-9-1 again last week. I struggled with some of the marquee games, but was near-perfect picking smaller conference games.

SEC game outcome are going to start to get weird. Upsets start to happen at this point ever season. They start devouring each other to make way for ACC and Big Ten teams to jump up in the polls.

I stayed away from a lot of the SEC games this weekend. I feel like the conference is basically ‘Alabama’ and then ‘everyone else.’ Teams like Texas A&M, Tennessee, Auburn, LSU, etc are just going to feed on each other.

We at ‘America’s White Boy’ pick against the spread for all the big college football games on Saturday (October 29th, 2016) and a few Thursday games. We also pick five extra games as a bonus.

2015 NCAA Football – Week 9 Betting Picks Against Spread

kidney stones funny ben parks and rec adam scottSo, I’ve been dealing with a bout of ‘get these f***ing kidney stones out of me’ pain the last few days. I have been unable to sit down and do my write up until this evening, but I’ve been studying matchups and trends all week.

I needed to cut this week’s post down quite a bit, since I can’t stomach sitting up in a chair for a long time. I still picked 20 games against the spread, but the format is just the ‘Quick Picks’ that I usually save for the end of my weekly column.

I will try to get next week’s column up in a timely manner…kidney stone or not!

We at ‘America’s White Boy’ pick against the spread for all the big college football games on Saturday (October 31st, 2015), and pick some smaller conference games as well. Enjoy!

2015 NCAA Football – Week 4 Betting Picks Against Spread

americas white boy college ncaa picks against the spread 2015 september week 4 funny fanMany of the top teams in the nation didn’t perform up to expectations last week. I hate betting on large spreads, especially when a ranked team faces a small school. So many things have to go right for them to cover, but also small schools sometime just show up to cash a check. It’s a coin flip.

I went 10-10 last week. I whiffed on a few that lost badly, but still feel good about those picks. Sometimes you can still make a ‘smart pick’ and have it lose. It’s all part of gambling. The same system or strategy will win games later on.

We at ‘America’s White Boy’ pick against the spread for all the big college football games on Saturday (September 26th, 2015), and pick some smaller conference games as well. Enjoy!
