2015 NCAA Football – Week 11 Betting Picks Against Spread

A few undefeated teams fell last week. Memphis, Michigan State, LSU and TCU all possibly had their championship hopes go down the tubes. The way Michigan State fell had to sting the worst. The referee should have threw a flag for illegal touching.

Clemson, Alabama, Ohio State and Notre Dame are currently sit at the top of the College Football Playoff rankings. They technically control their own destiny, but you never know what kind of response the committee will have going forward.

Teams are now trying to become bowl-eligible. It seems like crazy things happen when a team has five wins and needing six.

2015 NCAA Football – Week 10 Betting Picks Against Spread

The college football season has been pretty great so far. There are plenty of undefeated teams still left, but that will likely change very soon. Teams will start cannibalizing each other, especially in conference championship games.

The first College Football Playoff poll was announced last weekend. There were some surprises, especially with Clemson getting the #1 spot. I’ve been high on them lately, but it was still quite the surprise.

Rivalry games have started across college football. There are some games this weekend that have fanbases foaming at the mouth.

2015 NCAA Football – Week 9 Betting Picks Against Spread

So, I’ve been dealing with a bout of ‘get these f***ing kidney stones out of me’ pain the last few days. I have been unable to sit down and do my write up until this evening, but I’ve been studying matchups and trends all week.

I needed to cut this week’s post down quite a bit, since I can’t stomach sitting up in a chair for a long time. I still picked 20 games against the spread, but the format is just the ‘Quick Picks’ that I usually save for the end of my weekly column.

2015 NCAA Football – Week 8 Betting Picks Against Spread

It finally feels like football weather outside here in Indiana. It’s the exact moment when you get the sudden urge to eat something with pumpkin spice.

Let’s take a moment to discuss the Michigan punter’s error or terror. The look on his face is the perfect reflection of how he feels inside. It was a devastating loss and will go down as one of the most improbable ways to lose a game.

There are some nice matchups this weekend, but it’s the usual lull before the rivalry games kick in the next few weeks.

2015 NCAA Football – Week 7 Betting Picks Against Spread

It’s my birthday weekend! I hope the gambling gods will be kind to me on Saturday.

I went 12-8 last week. I missed on Oklahoma, but nearly ran the table on my ‘Quick Hits’ last week. The SEC hasn’t been kind to me so far. The MAC and Big Ten has made up for it though.

The weather isn’t expected to be a huge issue this weekend. The Midwest is due for regular seasonal weather. It will be nippy, but it looks clear.

2015 NCAA Football – Week 6 Betting Picks Against Spread

I’m still hovering around .500 for the year. I once again moved some of my rankings around and think I’ve got a good handle of the lines. Teams are now in their conference schedule, so historical information comes into play more and more as the year moves along

I went 11-9 last week. I really thought Ole Miss and Georgia were the two best teams in the SEC, but they both fell last week. Also, Michigan and California keep surprising me (for good and bad reasons).

2015 NCAA Football – Week 5 Betting Picks Against Spread

I’ve been hovering around .500 so far this year. I have moved some of my rankings around and hope to have a big week. Most teams are now into their conference schedule, so there will be less spreads of 30+ and we have some historical information to help our picks.

I went 9-10-1 last week. I whiffed on BYU/Michigan and a couple others. I felt some of the picks were ‘smart’, but they did not hit. A few balls fell in the other direction in those games.

2015 College Football: All-Name Team

What makes a great college football name?

If it works as a potential pro wrestling name, it works in college football.

We went through all the teams in the top two divisions in the NCAA. We read every name and picked out the ones that were funny and names we just wish we had.

My name is Bobby Roberts, so of all the people who can write a post poking fun at names, it’s me. I’m always asked if my real name is Robert Roberts (it’s not) or if my name is fake.

2015 NCAA Football – Week 4 Betting Picks Against Spread

Many of the top teams in the nation didn’t perform up to expectations last week. I hate betting on large spreads, especially when a ranked team faces a small school. So many things have to go right for them to cover, but also small schools sometime just show up to cash a check. It’s a coin flip.

I went 10-10 last week. I whiffed on a few that lost badly, but still feel good about those picks. Sometimes you can still make a ‘smart pick’ and have it lose. It’s all part of gambling. The same system or strategy will win games later on.

2015 NCAA Football – Week 3 Betting Picks Against Spread

There were some really fun college football games last week. There were a ton of comebacks and it made for an interesting week betting.

I went 11-9 last week. I missed a few games by a half a point, but made up for it with some moneyline upset bets. A few injuries also messed with what I still feel were smart plays. You can’t predict injuries, so it’s just part of gambling.

There are some banged up quarterbacks out there. Make sure to keep an eye on injury reports as we get closer to kickoff.

2015 NCAA Football – Week 2 Betting Picks Against Spread

Sorry I didn’t post a ‘college football picks against the spread’ post last week. I never bet on the first week of college football. It’s too risky and honestly, a lot of it is just dumb luck. You don’t get a preseason to watch the teams and it’s a crapshoot. I like going into a ‘betting season’ with more knowledge than just what comes in a media guide.

I’ve been making college football picks against the spread for the last five or six years. I’ve only been keeping a running total the last two years. I am 282-197-12 during that time.

I’ve been on a hot streak the last two years. Any year in which you have a 60%+ success rate on your bets. it is a successful year. I hope I helped you guys out.

Best Players Not Drafted During 2015 NFL Draft

The NFL Draft is seven rounds and you would think teams are scraping the bottom of the barrel in the last rounds, but that is not the case. Quality players like Kurt Warner, Tony Romo, Antonio Gates and Arian Foster all went undrafted out of college.

NFL teams do their due diligence during the pre-draft process. They dig deep into a prospect’s personal life and can sometime do a little too much work. Many players fall through the cracks due to off-the-field issues or a perceived idea that a certain player doesn’t fit a team’s current scheme.

I’ll leave all the draft grades and winners & losers posts for the so-called ‘experts’ that can tell the future. Here is a list of the best college players who didn’t get drafted during the 2015 NFL Draft.
