Johnny Manziel Retiring ‘Money Sign’ Celebration

johnny manziel money celebration cleveland browns 2015It looks like Johnny Football has officially grown up.

Johnny Manziel announced this week that he will retire the money sign celebration he made famous in college at Texas A&M. If you’re not familiar with it, you can see it here.

Manziel spent much of the offseason going through a rehab program and counseling. He even left his downtown bachelor pad in lieu of the suburbs.

His rookie season was a disaster and there was even talk during the recent draft that the Cleveland Browns could draft another quarterback.

Could we soon see the emergence of ‘John Football’?

Kenny Hill to Transfer to TCU?

Kenny Hill TCU Texas A&M college football transferKenny Hill made a name for himself in his first game as the starting quarterback for the Texas A&M Aggies. He had huge shoes to fill since he was taking over the team Johnny Manziel left behind to enter the NFL. Hill threw for 511 yards in the opener against South Carolina.

The rest of the season didn’t go so well for Hill. He struggled in the middle of the season and then had to serve a two-game suspension. Highly-touted freshman Kyle Allen took over and lead the team to three-straight wins to end the season.

Hill saw the writing on the wall and asked for a release from his scholarship at Texas A&M. He cited the reason as he wished to play closer to his home near Dallas, Texas.

Where will Kenny Hill end up? Is TCU the only school in the running?

2014 NCAA Football – Week 8 Betting Picks Against Spread

This season is becoming a broken record…but I don’t hate it. I ended the week with another 11-9 record (I can’t complain). I am now currently 64-53-2 on the season.

The weather is becoming colder and weather reports are becoming more and more important with each following week. Snow isn’t in the forecast, but sloppy rain could hamper a few games this weekend.

We were 134-79-8 against the spread betting on college football games last season. We hope to keep it going and help you guys out again this season.

We pick against the spread for all the big college football games on Saturday (October 18th, 2014), and picked some smaller conference games as well. Enjoy!

2014 NCAA Football – Week 6 Betting Picks Against Spread

I (once again) went 12-7-1 with last week’s college football picks against the spread. Even though I had a few close misses, I felt like I made smart plays. I am currently 42-35-2 on the season.

You will have some issues picking teams this week. There are a lot of road teams with favorable point spreads. I advise you to tread lightly, since this is part of the season in which weird things happen.

The Pac-12 and the SEC are proving themselves to be the top conferences in college football. On the other side of the coin, the Big Ten is imploding before our eyes. It’s already been an exciting season.

We were 134-79-8 against the spread betting on college football games last season. We hope to keep it going and help you guys out again this season.

We pick against the spread for all the big college football games on Saturday (October 4th, 2014), and picked some smaller conference games as well. Enjoy!

2014 NCAA Football – Week 5 Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 12-7-1 with last week’s college football picks against the spread. I could have had a historic week if a play went my way late in a few games…but that’s sports betting for you. You always focus on the late-game plays that didn’t go your way.

I love this portion of the college football schedule. Teams start playing conference games and you have less 40-point spreads. I love it. I hope to keep the positive picks going into Week 5. I am currently 30-28-1 on the season.

We were 134-79-8 against the spread betting on college football games last season. We hope to keep it going and help you guys out again this season.

We pick against the spread for all the big college football games on Saturday (September 27th, 2014), and picked some smaller conference games as well. Enjoy!

2014 National Signing Day: All-Name Team

Greg-Gooch-Funny-Name-Signing-DayFor those who love high school and college football, National Signing Day is a lot of fun. It’s the one day of the year in which a university’s athletic department’s fax machine is the most important piece of equipment on campus.

This is the day when high school seniors can fax in their letter of intent to the college they wish to play football. You need to be offered a scholarship before you fax a letter of intent…sorry, guys.

I’ve researched all the top players in the 2014 senior class and picked out some of the best names and which school they will be playing for later this year.

My name is Bobby Roberts. I often get asked if my name is Robert Roberts, but no, it says ‘Bobby’ on my birth certificate. My name will forever sound like I’m eight years old…so different names always interest me. I think you will enjoy this list.

2013 NCAA Football – Week 14 Betting Picks Against Spread

Katherine-Webb-Auburn-AlabamaI went 13-6-1 with my picks against the spread last week. I am now 124-71-8 on the season. At this point in the season, I’m completely running on Pumpkin Pie and McRibs (not at the same time). I’m feeling great about the season and have a nice feel for what teams will do on Thanksgiving weekend.

I like a lot of home teams in Week 14 of the 2013 college football season (November 30th to be exact). Rivalry games fill the slate of games this weekend. This is the most anticipated weekend in college football. The outcomes of Auburn/Alabama, Ohio State/Michigan and Florida/Florida State will further paint what the BCS Championship game may look like. If you’re not excited about this weekend’s games, you’re not a college football fan.

We pick against the spread for all the big college football games on Saturday, plus a few games in the MAC and American Athletic Conference as always…and a Thursday night game. Enjoy! Continue reading

2013 NCAA Football – Week 13 Betting Picks Against Spread

528557c1e0fa4I apologize for being a little late with this week’s picks. I’ve stayed up late watching college basketball all week (Jabari Parker is amazing). I went 13-7 with my picks against the spread last week. I am now 111-65-7 on the season.

I like a lot of road teams in Week 13 of the 2013 college football season (November 23rd to be exact). I hate picking road teams this late in the season, but that’s how things shake out this week. There are a few games that seem to factor in last week’s loss or win way too much. You need to look at the last few games to really get a feel for a team.

We pick against the spread for all the big college football games on Saturday, plus a few games in the MAC and American Athletic Conference as always…and a Thursday night game. Enjoy!

2013 NCAA Football – Week 11 Betting Picks Against Spread

Oregon-Ducks-Cheerleaders-2013Thanks to Michigan, Miami and Texas Tech, I had a .500 week. I’m still 82-54-7 on the season, which is much better than many of my sports betting friends.

I like a lot of favorites in Week 11 of the 2013 college football season (November 9th to be exact). I usually find value in underdogs at this point in the season, but the slate of games this weekend doesn’t fair well for those teams.

When making a bet at this point in the season, look to see if any teams played a common opponent. Also, keep an eye on weather reports. The temps are falling across the Midwest, so that could be a factor when a warm-weather team travels.

We pick against the spread for all the big college football games on Saturday, plus a few games in the MAC and American Athletic Conference as always…we also sneak in TWO Thursday night games . Enjoy!

2013 NCAA Football – Week 9 Betting Picks Against Spread

NCAA Football: Army at Ball StateMy streak of winners is still intact.

I went 12-7-1 last week with my picks, bringing my season total to 62-35-6 on the season. I was consistent with the previous week (11-7-1), but I picked one more game.

Week 9 of the 2013 college football season (October 26th to be exact) doesn’t have a Clemson/Florida State-type marquee game and has an overall weak schedule of games.

We’re at a point in the season where favorites often fall or fail to cover the spread. When making a bet, look to see if any teams had a common opponent earlier in the season. I went ‘underdog heavy’ in this week’s picks against the spread. Injury reports and weather conditions also grow more and more important deeper in the college football season.

We pick against the spread for all the big college football games on Saturday, plus a few games in the MAC and American Athletic Conference as always…we also sneak in a Thursday night game . Enjoy!

2013 NCAA Football – Week 8 Betting Picks Against Spread

Jameis Winston Florida State Clemson TigersMy streak of winners is still intact.

I went 11-7-1 last week with my picks, bringing my season total to 50-28-45 on the season. I didn’t match the previous week’s domination, but 11-7-1 is solid.

Week 8 of the 2013 college football season (October 19th to be exact) has possibly the biggest marquee game all season, Florida State at Clemson.

We’re at a point in the season where favorites often fall or fail to cover the spread. When making a bet, look to see if any teams had a common opponent earlier in the season. That could help you with your decision. Injury reports and weather conditions also grow more and more important deeper in the college football season.

2013 NCAA Football – Week 7 Betting Picks Against Spread

1959_Texas_vs_Oklahoma_Red_River_RivalryI’m on a hot streak.

I went 12-5 last week with my picks, bringing my season total to 39-21-4 on the season.

Week 7 of the college football season (October 12th to be exact) isn’t filled with as many marquee games as last week, but there are plenty of rivalry games.

We now have a good idea on which teams are good, but trap games and upsets often happen in the middle of the season. Favorites are often overvalued, so be careful with your picks. Vegas knows who the best teams are too, so the value isn’t there anymore.

We answer those questions and pick against the spread for all the big college football games on Saturday…we also sneak in a few Thursday night games in the MAC and American Athletic Conference
