2015 NCAA Football – Week 4 Betting Picks Against Spread

americas white boy college ncaa picks against the spread 2015 september week 4 funny fanMany of the top teams in the nation didn’t perform up to expectations last week. I hate betting on large spreads, especially when a ranked team faces a small school. So many things have to go right for them to cover, but also small schools sometime just show up to cash a check. It’s a coin flip.

I went 10-10 last week. I whiffed on a few that lost badly, but still feel good about those picks. Sometimes you can still make a ‘smart pick’ and have it lose. It’s all part of gambling. The same system or strategy will win games later on.

We at ‘America’s White Boy’ pick against the spread for all the big college football games on Saturday (September 26th, 2015), and pick some smaller conference games as well. Enjoy!

2015 NCAA Football – Week 3 Betting Picks Against Spread

funny week 3 college football picks against the spread ncaa america's white boy key peeleThere were some really fun college football games last week. There were a ton of comebacks and it made for an interesting week betting.

I went 11-9 last week. I missed a few games by a half a point, but made up for it with some moneyline upset bets. A few injuries also messed with what I still feel were smart plays. You can’t predict injuries, so it’s just part of gambling.

There are some banged up quarterbacks out there. Make sure to keep an eye on injury reports as we get closer to kickoff.

2015 NCAA Football – Week 2 Betting Picks Against Spread

funny fan america's white boy ncaa college football picks against the spread week 2 sweetbobSorry I didn’t post a ‘college football picks against the spread’ post last week. I never bet on the first week of college football. It’s too risky and honestly, a lot of it is just dumb luck. You don’t get a preseason to watch the teams and it’s a crapshoot. I like going into a ‘betting season’ with more knowledge than just what comes in a media guide.

I’ve been making college football picks against the spread for the last five or six years. I’ve only been keeping a running total the last two years. I am 282-197-12 during that time.

I’ve been on a hot streak the last two years. Any year in which you have a 60%+ success rate on your bets. it is a successful year. I hope I helped you guys out.

We pick against the spread for all the big college football games on Saturday (September 12th, 2015), and pick some smaller conference games as well. Enjoy!

Best Players Not Drafted During 2015 NFL Draft

Devin Gardner Michigan Wide Receiver 2015 NFL Draft undraftedThe NFL Draft is seven rounds and you would think teams are scraping the bottom of the barrel in the last rounds, but that is not the case. Quality players like Kurt Warner, Tony Romo, Antonio Gates and Arian Foster all went undrafted out of college.

NFL teams do their due diligence during the pre-draft process. They dig deep into a prospect’s personal life and can sometime do a little too much work. Many players fall through the cracks due to off-the-field issues or a perceived idea that a certain player doesn’t fit a team’s current scheme.

I’ll leave all the draft grades and winners & losers posts for the so-called ‘experts’ that can tell the future. Here is a list of the best college players who didn’t get drafted during the 2015 NFL Draft.

2015 College Football National Championship Picks – Prop Bets

2015 College Football National Championship game NCAA coin toss prop bets funnyWe are a big fan of prop bets. They are usually a crap shoot, but with the right research, you can end up winning a bet with very favorable odds.

I’m not saying you can research who will win the coin toss, but there are many other player and team prop bets out there that have nice odds.

Some prop bets aren’t worth the money (the vig isn’t worth the slight risk), but sometimes you just have to lay a few bucks down, cross your fingers and wish the best.

I picked out some of the most popular prop bets for the 2015 College Football National Championship game between Ohio State and Oregon.

Kenny Hill to Transfer to TCU?

Kenny Hill TCU Texas A&M college football transferKenny Hill made a name for himself in his first game as the starting quarterback for the Texas A&M Aggies. He had huge shoes to fill since he was taking over the team Johnny Manziel left behind to enter the NFL. Hill threw for 511 yards in the opener against South Carolina.

The rest of the season didn’t go so well for Hill. He struggled in the middle of the season and then had to serve a two-game suspension. Highly-touted freshman Kyle Allen took over and lead the team to three-straight wins to end the season.

Hill saw the writing on the wall and asked for a release from his scholarship at Texas A&M. He cited the reason as he wished to play closer to his home near Dallas, Texas.

Where will Kenny Hill end up? Is TCU the only school in the running?

Jim Harbaugh’s Khakis Are Headed to Michigan

Jim Hardbaugh Michigan weird NFL head coach big tenThe most well-known secret was officially announced this afternoon. Jim Harbaugh, who just parted ways with the San Francisco 49ers, will head back to his alma mater and coach the Michigan Wolverines.

Harbaugh’s ties to Michigan go deeper than any of their former head coaches. He was the quarterback at Michigan in the 80’s under Bo Schembechler. Not only that, but Harbaugh’s father was a long-time assistant under Schembechler.

Even though Harbaugh lead the Niners to three NFC Championship games and one Super Bowl appearance, his coaching style best suits the college game. It’s hard to get in an NFL player’s face if he’s earning more than you.

Michigan needed a fiery, uber-motivated head coach…and they have one in Jim Harbaugh.

2014-15 NCAA Football – Bowl Games – Betting Picks Against Spread

funny painting old guy football helmet scotch tightend yarmoskyIt’s bowl season!

I had a pretty decent year picking college football games against the spread. My record is now 148-118-4 on the season.

When betting on bowl games, make sure to Google if the team still has their head coach. Not many coaching changes have happened, but Nebraska, Pittsburgh, Wisconsin and a few others, won’t have their coach for the bowl.

We were 134-79-8 against the spread betting on college football games for the 2013-14 season. We hope to finish this season strong.

We pick against the spread for every bowl game. Enjoy!

39 Snarky Reasons To Watch Every Bowl Game

couch potato college football bowl games 2014-15There are 39 college football bowl games this season and to be honest, not all of them are worth watching. I do my best (and worst) to try to convince everyone to tune into every bowl game this season. I use cheerleader quality, famous alumni, hot girlfriends and I even quote the movie ‘Tombstone’ to coax you.

R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl: Nevada vs Louisiana-Lafayette (December 20th) – The game is played at the Superdome, so if you’re into watching a non-neutral site bowl game in which 90% of the fans are rooting for Louisiana-Lafayette, this is your game. Sorry about your damn luck, Nevada.

Gildan New Mexico Bowl: UTEP vs Utah State (December 20th) – I only know UTEP exists because I bet on college football. If I didn’t, I would only know UTEP because Tim Hardaway played basketball there…so watch a team you (may) have never heard of play football!

2014 NCAA Football – Week 15 + Conference Championships – Betting Picks Against Spread

I ended up doing pretty well last week. I went 13-7 and hit on a few moneyline underdogs plays. I want to thank Georgia Tech for the outright win against Georgia. My record is now 143-112-3 on the season.

Conference Championship games can be a crapshoot. Pay close attention to injury reports and make sure to check weather reports (just in case). Most of the games this week are played in nice weather and/or in domes. It shouldn’t be a huge factor.

2014 NCAA Football – Week 14 Betting Picks Against Spread

Angry-Mad-Nick-Sabana-Alabama-Crimson-Tide-Auburn-Tigers-Roll-Tide-War-EagleI felt like my picks were better than 11-9 last week. Some poor, late-game decisions were the difference between having a good week and having an 11-9 week. My record is now 131-105-3 on the season.

It’s rivalry week! Alabama/Auburn, Ohio State/Michigan, Florida/Florida State and…the Egg Bowl. Yes, Ole Miss/Mississippi State means something this year. I expect a fun week of college football. I picked a lot of favorites this week, but I’m not worried.

2014 NCAA Football – Week 13 Betting Picks Against Spread

I had an up & down week. I went 10-10, but hit on a couple moneyline underdogs. I didn’t foresee the Melvin Gordon’s record day or I would have picked Wisconsin over Nebraska. My record is now 120-96-3 on the season.

Snow blanketed many parts of the Midwest and Northeast this week. Those areas are expected to thaw out and shouldn’t be huge problems. Please keep an eye on weather forecasts in case weather patterns shift.
