Super Bowl 59 is this Sunday and it’s a prop bets smorgasbord.
I LOVE prop bets. I actually get more joy out of betting Super Bowl prop bets than betting against the spread. Yes, most are a crap shoot, but with the right research, you can end up winning bets with very favorable odds.
I’m not saying you can research who will win the coin toss, but there are many other player and team prop bets out there that have nice odds.
Some prop bets aren’t worth the money (the juice isn’t worth the slight risk), but sometimes you just have to lay a few bucks down, cross your fingers and wish for the best.
I picked out some of the most popular prop bets for Super Bowl 59 (or Super Bowl LIX for Roman numeral fans)…and we also pick the game against the spread.

I like the juice on Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, since he’s a known touchdown vulture. Barkley could be able to run over the Chiefs, but if he ends up with zero touchdowns, it could be difficult to garner votes for MVP.
The sleeper pick is WR DeVonta Smith. There aren’t many probably MVP candidates after the first three favorites. This is clearly a shot in the dark.

As I said earlier, I think this will be a high-scoring game. It wouldn’t surprise me if the over is hit by the end of the third quarter.

The Chiefs have been awful against the spread since mid-October. It wouldn’t surprise me if the Chiefs screw bettors over again and win by a single point. I don’t like the Chiefs hopes of stopping the Eagles running game. I will probably put a few jellybeans on the Eagles moneyline as well.
