Super Bowl 57 is this Sunday and it’s a prop bets smorgasbord.
I LOVE prop bets. I actually get more joy out of betting Super Bowl prop bets than betting against the spread. Yes, most are a crap shoot, but with the right research, you can end up winning bets with very favorable odds.
I’m not saying you can research who will win the coin toss, but there are many other player and team prop bets out there that have nice odds.
Some prop bets aren’t worth the money (the juice isn’t worth the slight risk), but sometimes you just have to lay a few bucks down, cross your fingers and wish for the best.
I picked out some of the most popular prop bets for Super Bowl 57 (or Super Bowl LVII for Roman numeral fans)…and we also pick the game against the spread.
Let me know if you’re betting any of these props. Good luck!
What Color Gatorade Will be Dumped on the Winning Head Coach?
Orange (+300)
Clear/Water (+750)
Lime/Green/Yellow (+165)
Blue (+400)
Red (+450)
Purple (+750)
The last time the Chiefs won the Super Bowl (2020), they had orange Gatorade. The Eagles went with the yellow Gatorade in 2018. I had to spoil my game pick here, but I’m going with the favorite Live/Green/Yellow.
Prediction: Lime/Green/Yellow

– Tails (-104)
I usually rotate every year and I picked tails last year, so I’ll take tails this year.

Super Bowl LVII MVP Odds
– Patrick Mahomes +130
– Jalen Hurts +130
– Travis Kelce +1600
– AJ Brown +1800
– Miles Sanders +2500
– DeVonta Smith +3100
– Haason Reddick +3400
– Jerick McKinnon +5000
– Isiah Pacheco +5000
– Chris Jones +5000
– Dallas Goedert +6000
– Marquez Valdes-Scantling +6000
– JuJu Smith-Schuster +7500

– Chad Henne +10000
– Nick Bolton +10000
– Clyde Edwards-Helaire +12000
– Kenneth Gainwell +13000
– Kadarius Toney +15000
I’m going to pick two options here, a ‘likely’ choice and a ‘sleeper’ choice. The likely choice is Jalen Hurts, as I believe they will win on Sunday. It doesn’t have much juice on the odds, but it’s pretty darn safe. You can parlay Hurts for MVP with an Eagles cover.
The sleeper pick is Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco. This is mostly a hedge on my parlay. It could be worth it to put a little on Pacheco.
Prediction: Jalen Hurts (likely) – Isiah Pacheco (sleeper)

Total Points – Over/Under
– OVER 50.5 (-110)
– UNDER 50.5 (-110)
I’m not sold that the Chiefs will be able to move the ball well against the Rams. The Eagles offense is potent and I’m expecting them to have a double-digit lead by halftime. The second-half could be plentiful for both teams. I’m taking the over this week.
Prediction: OVER

Point Spread
– Kansas City Chiefs (+1.5)
– Philadelphia Eagles (-1.5)
The Chiefs are 16-3 outright and 6-12-1 against the spread. They are coming off a 23-20 home win over the Bengals. They needed a Harrison Butker field goal in the finals seconds. Joe Burrow made a few mistakes and his interception in the fourth quarter just put his team in a bad spot. Patrick Mahomes put the Chiefs on his back, as the running game was non-existent.
The Eagles are 16-3 outright and 10-9 against the spread. They are coming off a 31-7 home win over the Niners. Brock Purdy suffered an elbow injury early in the game, and the Niners didn’t have a shot after that. The Eagles have had a rather easy stroll through the playoffs.
It’s hard to bet against the Eagles. Their offense is dangerous and the Chiefs offense is too one-dimensional right now. Hurts should be able to extend plays and I expect him to win the MVP on his way to an Eagles cover.
Prediction: Philadelphia Eagles (-1.5)
