Last week’s game were a lot of fun to watch. There were a load of tight games, but the Indiana/Michigan topped them all. I love any game in which Jim Harbaugh freaks out on the sideline. I watched the entire game and it was exactly the type of game I expected…completely bonkers.
I went 13-7 last week against the spread. Clemson, Alabama, Ohio State and Notre Dame are still sitting at the top of the College Football Playoff rankings this week. Iowa and Oklahoma State need huge games to crack that group.
We at ‘America’s White Boy’ pick against the spread for all the big college football games on Saturday (November 21st, 2015), and pick some smaller conference games as well. Enjoy!
Michigan at Penn State (+4) – My pick is Michigan Wolverines
Indiana gave Michigan one hell of a fight last week. Indiana decided to go all-in with their ground attack in the second half. It paid off and nearly beat Michigan. Penn State has been better than expected this season. Michigan’s defense will bounce back and stop Penn State on Saturday. I’m taking Michigan to cover.
California at Stanford (-11.5) – My pick is Stanford Cardinal
Cal hasn’t been a good road team since they knocked off Texas. They’ve been in nearly every game in the 4th quarter, but Stanford will hope to bounce back from last week’s loss to Oregon. This is a rivalry game. I usually take the points in late-season rivalry games, but I think Stanford is the much better overall team.
Baylor at Oklahoma State (-1) – My pick is Baylor Bears
Oklahoma State was nearly caught sleeping last week against Iowa State. The Cowboys were overlooking the Cyclones. Baylor lost a tough game against Oklahoma last week. A lot of hype was on that contest. The Sooners were the better team, but I believe the Bears are better than the Cowboys. Also, Oklahoma State losing seems like a ‘Big 12 thing to do late in the season’. I’m taking Baylor to cover and win outright.
Boston College at Notre Dame (-15) – My pick is Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Weird things tend to happen in Boston College/Notre Dame games, but BC’s offense is piss-poor this year. This does have all the signs of a possible trap game, but it would take a Herculean effort for BC’s offense to put up the proper amount of points. I’m taking the Irish to cover at home.
Michigan State at Ohio State (-13.5) – My pick is Michigan State Spartans
We all know Michigan State has been overrated all year, but this line is a slap in the face for the Spartans. Neither team has been very good against the spread. I don’t see Ohio State covering this ridiculous spread. I’m taking the points all day.
Mississippi State at Arkansas (-5) – My pick is Mississippi State Bulldogs
Arkansas is coming off a huge win over LSU and Mississippi State is coming off an Alabama beating. I expect this game to go about the same as the Arkansas/Ole Miss game. Ole Miss Chad Kelly is a dual-threat quarterback and he had his way with the Razorbacks. Dak Prescott is better on the ground than Kelly, so Arkansas will have a hard time defending him. This game will be tight. I’m taking the points.
USC at Oregon (-4.5) – My pick is USC Trojans
USC and Oregon are both playing their best football last in the year. USC is on a four-game winning streak since getting beaten by Notre Dame. Oregon is coming off a nice win at Stanford. Oregon’s defense is their Achilles heel. They have been really bad, but their offense has bailed them out. USC’s defense is much better and think they will be the edge in a shootout. I’m taking the Trojans to win on the road.
LSU at Ole Miss (-6) – My pick is LSU Tigers
This betting line is clearly based solely on LSU’s loss to Arkansas. If this game happened a week ago, this would most likely be a pick’em game. This line is out of whack. I’m taking the points.
Memphis at Temple (+1.5) – My pick is Memphis Tigers
This is probably the first time a Memphis/Temple game garners this much attention. Both teams are a surprising 8-2. Temple is coming off a letdown loss at South Florida. Memphis is also licking their wounds after back-to-back loss to Navy and Houston. I still believe Memphis is the better team. Temple has been a nice story, but the Tigers should cover on the road.
Miami (Ohio) at Massachusetts (-10) – My pick is Miami Redhawks
This is when we pick a smaller conference game. I picked UMass to cover against Eastern Michigan last week, and they did just that. Eastern Michigan games are usually quite easy to pick against the spread (Eastern Michigan is often the loser). Miami hasn’t been playing as bad as they were earlier in the season. UMass will have a tight game on Saturday, so I’m taking the points.
