2016 NCAA Football – Week 7 Betting Picks Against Spread

unc-cheerleader-rachelle09I went 12-11-2 after some big upsets made for a tense afternoon. I was pretty happy to just end up around .500 after some of my bad beats.

I don’t expect weather to be an issue this weekend. Hurricane Matthew screwed up a few games last week and outright cancelled LSU/Florida.

There are a few key games in the Big Ten and SEC, but it’s a pretty average slate of games this weekend. There are a lot of top conference teams playing conference basement dwellers. It always seems like crazy things happen when there’s a bunch of “ho-hum” games.

We at ‘America’s White Boy’ pick against the spread for all the big college football games on Saturday (October 15th, 2016) and a few Thursday games. We also pick five extra games as a bonus.

2016 NCAA Football – Week 6 Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 12-12-1 after my bonus five picks decided to turn against me. I did have a few moneyline successes and hit on last week’s big game at Clemson.

This weekend has a full slate of great college football games. There are some games this weekend with massive implications. Some are rivalry games like Oklahoma vs Texas and Miami vs Florida State…and others are just good conference games that could factor into conference titles like Tennessee vs Texas A&M.

Could Charlie Strong’s job be on the line when Texas faces Oklahoma at the Cotton Bowl?

2016 NCAA Football – Week 5 Betting Picks Against Spread

clemson-cheerleader-americas-white-boy-college-football-ncaa-betting-picks-against-the-spread-2016I thought I went 16-9 for the week once again, but I added everything up again and I missed a game by a half-point, so a 15-10 record still isn’t too shabby.

We are at the point where every team is in their conference schedule, which is great. There’s a lot more information and history between teams. It also makes the betting lines more tight since Vegas has the same information as the bettor.

There’s a huge game between Louisville and Clemson this weekend. It may impact the championship race, since both teams are in the ACC. The conference is great, but I doubt they will get two teams in the playoffs.

2016 NCAA Football – Week 4 Betting Picks Against Spread

arizona-state-cheerleaders-2016-week-4-ncaa-football-picks-against-the-spread-college-americas-white-boy-betting-sun-devilsI had my first solid week of the year after going 16-9 last week. I felt like I had a solid grasp on the outcomes and would have had a better week if not for a couple fluke covers…but there’s nothing you can do about those.

I’m glad that there aren’t as many 30+ point spreads this week. Teams are starting to get into the meat of their schedules and conference games will be in full force by next week. I hate having to bet on huge spreads, since it just adds a lot more to factor in when picking games.

We at ‘America’s White Boy’ pick against the spread for all the big college football games on Saturday (September 24th, 2016) and a few Thursday games. We also pick five extra games as a bonus.

2016 NCAA Football – Week 2 Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 13-11-1 last week with a few bad beats. I can’t beat myself up about it since Week 1 is always loaded with landmines of risk. I picked some games I should have stayed away from (Houston vs Oklahoma) and didn’t expect such poor outings from Tennessee and UCLA.

As I said before, Week 1 is full of risk, but the following week is loaded with value. You have to take what you learned in Week 1 and use it for your advantage. At the same time, there are times that you kind of have to go against all your information since betting lines are often swayed a little too much if a team outperforms preseason expectations or is underwhelming in Week 1.

We at ‘America’s White Boy’ pick against the spread for all the big college football games on Saturday (September 10th, 2016) and a few Thursday games. We also picked five extra games as a bonus.

2015 College Football: All-Name Team

Nick Chubb America's White Boy All-Name Team 2015 Georgia BulldogsWhat makes a great college football name?

If it works as a potential pro wrestling name, it works in college football.

We went through all the teams in the top two divisions in the NCAA. We read every name and picked out the ones that were funny and names we just wish we had.

My name is Bobby Roberts, so of all the people who can write a post poking fun at names, it’s me. I’m always asked if my real name is Robert Roberts (it’s not) or if my name is fake.

Here is the 2015-16 college football All-Name team.

2014 NCAA Football – Week 3 Betting Picks Against Spread

Week 2 of the college football season was very hit or miss. Many of the large spreads missed by a point or two and the Big Ten failed in grand fashion. I ended up going 9-10-1 on the week and I don’t feel bad about it. I know a lot of people who went heavy on the Big Ten and took a big loss. Lucky for us, there are actually a few favorable Big Ten point spreads this week.

You now have a (little) better idea of how a team may perform this season…even if they’ve only faced small conference teams.

We were 134-79-8 against the spread betting on college football games last season. We hope to keep it going and help you guys out again this season.

We pick against the spread for all the big college football games on Saturday (September 13th, 2014), a few smaller conference games and a Thursday night game. Enjoy!

March Madness: Which Bubble Teams Didn’t Get In?

Sad+John+CapilariThere are 340 Division-I teams in college basketball eligible for the postseason NCAA Tournament. Obviously, not every team can get an invite.

These teams were all on the bubble, but failed to make it into the field of 68.

There were some big upsets (Middle Tennessee State) and a few teams that deserved a nod, were passed over.

Here is a list of bubble teams that had their bubble burst.

Hint: John Calipari is sad. Continue reading
