2017 NCAA Football – Week 12 Betting Picks Against Spread

I finished 19-10-1 last week. My strategy of staying away from Pac 12 games paid off. I did end up picking one…and lost. I don’t know what it is about that conference, but I have little confidence in my handicapping ability in the Pac 12 this season. I’ve done very well with the conference in the past, but I (sort of) know when to throw in the towel. I STILL ended up picking a Pac 12 game again this week…I just couldn’t help myself.

Last week’s experiment of picking 30 games worked in my favor. I picked an additional five games this week as well. It made my attempt at avoiding the Pac 12 rather difficult.

We at ‘America’s White Boy’ pick 30 college football games against the spread in Week 12 of the NCAA Football season (November 18th, 2017). We also pick some smaller conference games.

2017 NCAA Football – Week 11 Betting Picks Against Spread

I finished 13-11-1 last week.

I’ve struggled picking Pac 12 games this season. I need to avoid that conference for at least one week. I tend to jump on the road teams when they are large underdogs. Pac 12 teams have been pretty darn good at home since conference play started. I still picked a couple Pac 12 games this week, but way less than usual.

I decided to add five more games this week. There were some ACC and Big Ten games that I really liked, so it wasn’t too much extra work.

We at ‘America’s White Boy’ pick 30 college football games against the spread in Week 11 of the NCAA Football season (November 11th, 2017). We also pick some smaller conference games.

2017 NCAA Football – Week 7 Betting Picks Against Spread

I went .500 again last week, but still felt pretty good about my picks. I missed a few by a field goal or less and a play or two didn’t fall in my favor.

This is the time of year when weather reports could become important. I don’t see any extreme weather conditions this weekend though. The Midwest looks like it will mostly be in the 70’s.

The best teams in the nation are starting to receive some ridiculous point spreads. Alabama and Georgia both have spreads of 28 points and higher. Can these SEC beasts cover these against other SEC teams?

Neither Los Angeles school has been very good against the spread this season. Can USC and UCLA avoid another loss against the spread?

We at ‘America’s White Boy’ pick 25 college football games against the spread in Week 7 of the NCAA Football season (October 14th, 2017). We also focus on small conference games…our bread and butter!

2017 Davon Reed Miami Hurricanes NCAA Tournament March MadnessWe are here to help you fill out your brackets and finally beat your cubicle neighbor in your office pool this year.

Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo always seems to get his teams to play their best basketball in March. He has a good squad, but they were beat up by the time the conference tournament started.

Miami is one of the many ACC teams that could go far in the NCAA Tournament.

Can Miami hold off Michigan State in the first round?

Who do you think will win? We help you fill out your bracket.

2016 NCAA Football – Week 9 Betting Picks Against Spread

west-virginia-cheerleaderI went 15-9-1 again last week. I struggled with some of the marquee games, but was near-perfect picking smaller conference games.

SEC game outcome are going to start to get weird. Upsets start to happen at this point ever season. They start devouring each other to make way for ACC and Big Ten teams to jump up in the polls.

I stayed away from a lot of the SEC games this weekend. I feel like the conference is basically ‘Alabama’ and then ‘everyone else.’ Teams like Texas A&M, Tennessee, Auburn, LSU, etc are just going to feed on each other.

We at ‘America’s White Boy’ pick against the spread for all the big college football games on Saturday (October 29th, 2016) and a few Thursday games. We also pick five extra games as a bonus.

2016 NCAA Football – Week 8 Betting Picks Against Spread

oklahoma-cheerleaders-americas-white-boy-picks-against-the-spread-2016-week-8-college-footballI went 15-9-1 last week and felt pretty good about a few of my moneyline suggestions as well.

I don’t expect weather to be an issue this weekend. It might be the first official ‘Fall Weather’ football game for most of the Midwest though. I don’t think that really bothers anyone at all.

I’m really looking forward to the Texas A&M/Alabama game this weekend. There are some dominoes that need to fall during the season and one will fall in this battle between unbeaten teams.

We at ‘America’s White Boy’ pick against the spread for all the big college football games on Saturday (October 22nd, 2016) and a few Thursday games. We also pick five extra games as a bonus.

2016 NCAA Football – Week 6 Betting Picks Against Spread

I went 12-12-1 after my bonus five picks decided to turn against me. I did have a few moneyline successes and hit on last week’s big game at Clemson.

This weekend has a full slate of great college football games. There are some games this weekend with massive implications. Some are rivalry games like Oklahoma vs Texas and Miami vs Florida State…and others are just good conference games that could factor into conference titles like Tennessee vs Texas A&M.

Could Charlie Strong’s job be on the line when Texas faces Oklahoma at the Cotton Bowl?

We at ‘America’s White Boy’ pick against the spread for all the big college football games on Saturday (October 8th, 2016) and a few Thursday games. We also pick five extra games as a bonus.

2016 NCAA Football – Week 5 Betting Picks Against Spread

clemson-cheerleader-americas-white-boy-college-football-ncaa-betting-picks-against-the-spread-2016I thought I went 16-9 for the week once again, but I added everything up again and I missed a game by a half-point, so a 15-10 record still isn’t too shabby.

We are at the point where every team is in their conference schedule, which is great. There’s a lot more information and history between teams. It also makes the betting lines more tight since Vegas has the same information as the bettor.

There’s a huge game between Louisville and Clemson this weekend. It may impact the championship race, since both teams are in the ACC. The conference is great, but I doubt they will get two teams in the playoffs.

We at ‘America’s White Boy’ pick against the spread for all the big college football games on Saturday (October 1st, 2016) and a few Thursday games. We also pick five extra games as a bonus.

2015 College Football: All-Name Team

Nick Chubb America's White Boy All-Name Team 2015 Georgia BulldogsWhat makes a great college football name?

If it works as a potential pro wrestling name, it works in college football.

We went through all the teams in the top two divisions in the NCAA. We read every name and picked out the ones that were funny and names we just wish we had.

My name is Bobby Roberts, so of all the people who can write a post poking fun at names, it’s me. I’m always asked if my real name is Robert Roberts (it’s not) or if my name is fake.

Here is the 2015-16 college football All-Name team.

2013 NCAA Football – Week 11 Betting Picks Against Spread

Oregon-Ducks-Cheerleaders-2013Thanks to Michigan, Miami and Texas Tech, I had a .500 week. I’m still 82-54-7 on the season, which is much better than many of my sports betting friends.

I like a lot of favorites in Week 11 of the 2013 college football season (November 9th to be exact). I usually find value in underdogs at this point in the season, but the slate of games this weekend doesn’t fair well for those teams.

When making a bet at this point in the season, look to see if any teams played a common opponent. Also, keep an eye on weather reports. The temps are falling across the Midwest, so that could be a factor when a warm-weather team travels.

We pick against the spread for all the big college football games on Saturday, plus a few games in the MAC and American Athletic Conference as always…we also sneak in TWO Thursday night games . Enjoy!

2013 NCAA Football – Week 10 Betting Picks Against Spread

houston-cougar-cheerleader-ncaaMy streak of winning weeks is still intact…barely.

I went 10-9-1 last week with my picks, bringing my season total to 72-44-7 on the season. It was my worst week so far this season, but still better than many of my sports betting friends.

Week 10 of the 2013 college football season (November 2nd to be exact) has a few rivalry games (Michigan/Michigan State), but college football is still in the lull of finishing conference games. The true rivalry games are still a week or more away.

I want to remind everyone that we’re at a point in the season where favorites often fall or fail to cover the spread. When making a bet, look to see if any teams had a common opponent earlier in the season. Look long and hard at home underdogs and teams trying to lock up bowl eligibility.

We pick against the spread for all the big college football games on Saturday, plus a few games in the MAC and American Athletic Conference as always…we also sneak in a Thursday night game . Enjoy!

2013 NCAA Football – Week 6 Betting Picks Against Spread

Texas Tech Guns Up MascotThe fifth week of the college football season was very kind to me. I went 11-4 with my picks against the spread. I improved my overall record to 27-16-4 on the season.

Week six of the college football season (October 5th to be exact) is filled with a lot of fun games to watch. All the teams are in their conference schedule, with a few exceptions. We will start to see which teams are contenders and which teams clearly benefited from a weak non-conference schedule.

There are some huge Big Ten and Big 12 games on Saturday. You will know a lot more about Northwestern and Texas Tech after 10/5/13.

We answer those questions and pick against the spread for all the big college football games on Saturday…we also sneak in a few smaller games in the MAC and Mountain West conferences.
