Sweetbob’s Fantasy Baseball F/M/K – July 29th

This is the 17th week of the fantasy baseball season.

The trade deadline is just days from now. The trade deadline in your league is a week or two away. If you’re out of the race in a dynasty league, it’s time to start playing for next year. Shoot for some can’t miss prospects if you have to move a stud.

Which hot hitters are we suggesting to pick up this week?

We look at some players who started out hot, some who are struggling and maybe a couple young guys who should be targeted in your free agent pool on July 29th, 2018.

I’ll be posting a weekly fantasy baseball F/M/K every Sunday this baseball season…so keep coming back!

Sweetbob’s Fantasy Baseball F/M/K – April 22nd

We are just over three weeks into the 2018 baseball season.

Injuries have been a huge problem this season, but a few guys are getting off the disabled list. Wil Myers and J.T. Realmuto came off this weekend and Salvador Perez and Adam Eaton are expected to suit up for their teams this week.

2016 MLB Season Preview: Cleveland Indians

Terry Francona has now had three-straight winning seasons as manager in Cleveland. His rosters haven’t been as loaded as his past Red Sox teams, but he has squeezed every bit out of his teams in Cleveland.

The AL Central has represented the American League in three out of the last four World Series. The Royals are expected to be one of the favorites to appear in their third-straight. I wouldn’t count out the Tigers either.

The Indians were quiet this offseason. They haven’t made any big moves and currently expected to finish in the middle in the Central. Will they make a big trade during the season?

Here is the 2016 MLB season preview for the Cleveland Indians.

2015 MLB Team Preview: Cleveland Indians

Cleveland Indians 2015 MLB team preview Nick Swisher funny weird shirtlessCleveland have back-to-back winning records under manager Terry Francona. We expected him to improve the team, but didn’t expect it at this rate.

The AL Central produced two playoff teams in 2014. The Tigers won the division, but it was the Royals that made the most noise. They lost to the Giants in the World Series. The Indians were only three games out of the final Wild Card spot.

The Indians were quiet this offseason. Their only marquee acquisition was trading for Brandon Moss. They come into 2015 with nearly the same squad that went 85-77.

Can Cleveland starting rotation overachieve or will they be in trouble?

Here is the 2015 MLB season preview for the Cleveland Indians.

Sweetbob’s Fantasy Baseball F*ck/Marry/Kill – Week 4

Sweetbob's Fantasy Baseball F/M/KThis is the first installment of “Sweetbob’s Fantasy Baseball F*ck, Marry, Kill” of the young baseball season. If you have any questions, I will do my best to answer all of them. You can email me at bobbymcrib@gmail.com.

Welcome to “Sweetbob’s Fantasy F*ck, Marry, Kill”…

Before I begin, let’s go over the F/M/K terminology. The guys I list under “F*ck” are guys that are currently hot and you need to pick them up. “Marry”, are guys that you need to stick with, even if they are struggling a bit. “Kill”, are guys that you need to think about dropping for better players in the free agent pool.

2014 MLB Team Preview: Cleveland Indians

Did anyone see the Cleveland Indians making the playoffs last season? If you did, you were either on drugs or had too many Great Lakes Christmas Ales. We all knew the Detroit Tigers would win the division and Minnesota would be in the basement. The Indians, Royals and White Sox were all interchangeable. No team was expected to beat out any AL West or AL East team for a Wild-Card spot.

New manager Terry Francona had a chip on his shoulder for the way things ended in Boston. He turned things around in a hurry, but did things happen too fast?

Front offices get playoff drunk and make poor decisions. Once a team makes the playoffs after a drought, they assume they’ll be playing in October every year. If they fail to make the playoffs this season, would Francona be on the hot seat?

Can a starting rotation with Justin Masterson as their #1 starter, be taken seriously? Will John Axford last the entire season as their closer?

Here is the 2014 MLB season preview for the Cleveland Indians.

2013 MLB Team Preview: Cleveland Indians

Ricky+Vaughn+Charlie+Sheen+Major+League+Cleveland+IndiansAll the familiar faces are gone in Cleveland. You won’t find Grady Sizemore stealing the hearts of women in the stands, Travis Hafner selling Pronk Bars while on the disabled list or Fausto Carmona, I mean Roberto Hernandez trying to find a new identity.

Terry Francona is the new major for the Cleveland Indians. He brings baggage from how his Red Sox tenure ended…and Daisuke Matsuzaka. He doesn’t have as much pressure on him to succeed, which will be something new for him.

Will high priced free agents Nick Swisher and Michael Bourn produce in their first season with the Tribe?

Will Jason Kipnis and Asdrubal Cabrera lead the Indians to an improbable playoff berth?

Here is the 2013 MLB season preview for the Cleveland Indians. Continue reading
