The Detroit Lions, Tennessee Titans, Las Vegas Raiders and the Houston Texans all have the week off.
Those teams don’t have the best records, but they have some fantasy studs on their teams. You could be in a position to find a replacement for RB Derrick Henry, WR Davante Adams or TE T.J. Hockenson.
Is Seahawks QB Geno Smith a worthy streaming option against the Cardinals?
Which Dolphins running back should you start?
Here is our Fantasy Football Sit/Start for Week 6 of the 2022 NFL season…and enjoy our awesome MS Paint masterpiece of QB Jimmy Garoppolo of the San Francisco 49ers.
I want to explain what I mean by “sit” and “start.” Of course you are going to start some of the guys i say to bench this week, because you probably used high draft picks or a lot of money in an auction for them. My ‘sit’ players are guys I am just not completely sold that they will have good weeks. If you have a guy that you are on the fence about, maybe this will help you pick between the players.
START’EM
- QB Jimmy Garoppolo (San Francisco 49ers) – Jimmy G is usually not a great streaming option, but he has a good match-up (Atlanta) and the streaming quarterback options are slim.
- WR George Pickens (Pittsburgh Steelers) – The Steelers are dog water as a team, but it’s clear that Pickens is a favorite of rookie QB Kenny Pickett. He will get a lot of targets against Tampa Bay.
- TE Hayden Hurst (Cincinnati Bengals) – He is coming off his best game of the season. The tight end position is filled with a ton of guys who are touchdown-or-bust. Hurts should get more targets per game than those tight ends.
- RB Kenneth Walker III (Seattle Seahawks) – Now that RB Rashaad Penny is out for the season, Walker’s fantasy stock is at an all-time high. The Seahawks offense is better than most people expected. He will get 15-20 touches per game.
- QB Geno Smith (Seattle Seahawks) – The reason Seattle’s offense is pretty good has a lot to do with Smith’s improvement since Week 1. He has been accurate and Arizona has been thrown on this year.
- Jacksonville Jaguars Defense & Special Teams – Jacksonville faces the Colts for the second time this season. They smoked them the first time and the Jags have had the Colts number the last few years.
- RB Raheem Mostert (Miami Dolphins) – Mostert has gained touches since QB Tua Tagovailoa’s injury. He is the clear RB1 in Miami, which wasn’t the case just a few games ago. If Miami has to start rookie QB Skylar Thompson, we will see a ton of Mostert.
- WR Jakobi Meyers (New England Patriots) – Meyers is now healthy and backup QB Bailey Zappe isn’t bad. If Zappe has to start again this week, you shouldn’t shy away from Patriots wide receivers.
- RB Mike Boone (Denver Broncos) – I thought RB Latavius Murray would get more action than Boone last week, but I was wrong. Murray was inactive and Boone shined. He has good hands and could be a sneaky flex this week against the Chargers.
- TE David Njoku (Cleveland Browns) – Browns QB Jacoby Brissett loves tight ends and Njoku is having his best stretch of his career. The Patriots will want to stop Cleveland’s running game, which means a lot of short-yardage passes will be open.
- WR Michael Gallup (Dallas Cowboys) – He’s only owned in just over half of leagues, but has a lot of upside when QB Dak Prescott comes back. He is still a nice flex option until Dak comes back.
- RB Rachaad White (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) – White has great hands and it looks like he is fitting into a third-down back role. He is playing on passing downs and getting targets.
- Minnesota Vikings Defense & Special Teams – The Vikings travel to Miami this Sunday and it looks like Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa may not suit up. Backup QB Teddy Bridgewater is still in concussion protocol, so rookie QB Skylar Thompson could be the starter.
SIT’EM
- RB Tyler Allgeier (Atlanta Falcons) – The Falcons backfield is too crowded. Allgeier will be battling for carries with running backs Caleb Huntley and Damien Williams…plus QB Marcus Mariota loves to run the ball.
- QB Daniel Jones (New York Giants) – You may be stuck in a QB situation and need a streaming option this week. Jones will be one of your options, but I’d steer clear. He faces a solid Baltimore defense and I expect the Giants offense will be stagnant. I’d rather start Carson Wentz or Jacoby Brissett this week.
- WR DJ Moore (Carolina Panthers) – Moore doesn’t have much upside right now. He did get targets with QB Baker Mayfield under center, but only completed less than half of his targets to Moore. Mayfield is injured, but he will face the same issue with quarterbacks PJ Walker or Sam Darnold.
- RB Chase Edmonds (Miami Dolphins) – It looked like Edmonds and Mostert were in a shared role early this season, but Mostert has taken over the job. Edmonds isn’t playing enough snaps to be worth a start.
- QB Kenny Pickett (Pittsburgh Steelers) – Pickett will have another tough opponent this week, as Tampa Bay travels to Pittsburgh this week. He will throw the ball a lot, but he will throw a few interceptions and touchdowns will be few and far between.
- WR Allen Robinson (Los Angeles Rams) – Robinson doesn’t have a big role in the Rams offense. He only has 12 receptions for 107 yards on the entire year. It’s time to cut him and pick up George Pickens or Alex Pierce.
- TE Kyle Pitts (Atlanta Falcons) – Pitts is dealing with a hamstring injury and was inactive in Week 5. It’s unknown if he is healthy enough to suit up this week. I’d rather put Pitts on my bench and pick up Evan Engram or Hayden Hurts until Pitts is healthy.
- Green Bay Packers Defense & Special Teams – ‘Any team that faces the Jets’ DEF/ST used to be a great streaming option, but the Jets have some young studs. The Packers defense have had a couple rough games this year and I don’t expect a stellar outing this week against the Jets.
- TE Tyler Conklin (New York Jets) – Conklin was a huge part of Jets offense with QB Joe Flacco under center. His numbers completely tanked once QB Zach Wilson came back from injury. Conklin’s targets are now going to running backs Breece Hall and Michael Carter.
- Dallas Cowboys Defense & Special Teams – The Cowboys have a tough matchup this week. They face the Eagles high-powered offense, which eliminates them as a streaming candidate this week. I’d rather stream Jaguars DEF/ST or 49ers DEF/ST.
- WR Josh Palmer (Los Angeles Chargers) – Even with WR Keenan Allen out with an injury, Palmer isn’t getting much work. In the last two games, he only has four receptions for 49 yards combined. I’d rather pick up Alec Pierce or Darius Slayton
