It can put everyone at ease, and the job will get much done quicker if everyone is agreeing and seeing eye to eye. And one of the best ice breakers? Sports chat. Asking about teams or seeing who watched what game can be a good way to break the ice. If someone isn’t interested, then they won’t be interested. But for those that are, it is a great way to bond and makes things much simpler for getting your work done and having to work alongside them.

Just be wary with this one, though. If you are not interested in sport but pretend to be, it will really show with sports fans. So make sure that you are not pretending, otherwise it could have the opposite impact for your career.
