2017 March Madness: #11 Play-in Game – Kansas State vs Wake Forest

2017 John Collins Wake Forest Demon Deacons NCAA Tournament March MadnessWe are here to help you fill out your brackets and finally beat your cubicle neighbor in your office pool this year.

The Kansas State Wildcats were lucky to be invited to Dayton. They’ve played poorly since the beginning of the calendar year. They’ve been a doormat in the Big 12.

Wake Forest has some nice wins on their résumé. They just beat Louisville over a week ago. They even have a star with NBA potential.

Can Kansas State wipe the slate clean and beat Wake Forest in the play-in game?

Who do you think will win? We help you fill out your bracket.

The Kansas State Wildcats are lucky to be in this position. I don’t think they belong in the field. They just lost so many games the last month and a half. They lack rebounding skills and if they struggle shooting the ball, they can’t get second-chance points. They also struggle when they get behind in a game. They don’t have the scorers or three-point shooters come from behind.

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons are the better of the two teams. They are balanced and have been in every game they’ve played this season. I like momentum and that a team plays until the final minute. Wake Forest forward John Collins has the skills to play at the next level. He shoots close to the hoop and is one of the best rebounders in the ACC.

I think Wake Forest will have the edge in this game. They have a better rotation and if they double-team Collins in the paint, Wake Forest has a lot of three-point shooters like Bryant Crawford and Austin Arians to pick up the slack.

Prediction: #11 Wake Forest Demon Deacons
